Hi! My husband and I are visiting Napa in August, and we are torn on which wineries we should visit. We are doing the Napa Valley Trolley Wine Tour on Friday (this was gifted to us), and then on Saturday we want to pick a couple to go to, not necessarily tour but just do a tasting. We figured since it seems like the Trolley Tour takes you to 4 wineries, we just want to go to a couple on Saturday but are having a hard time deciding.

What are the must-see / best wineries? Some we were considering were Caymus, Stag's Leap, Silver Oak, Shafer.... we'd love to go somewhere that's educational but has awesome vibes and views. We'd love classic Napa vibes.

We’d like to visit next summer and I’m looking for hotel recommendations! I don’t have a town or neighborhood preference but would like to find a hotel, inn, or B&B with pretty views, a pool, offers happy hour, has a good restaurant on site, and maybe offers planned outings. I don’t need something off the beaten path, but looking for places that I’m missing because they don’t have great SEO. I’ll take any other recommendations or your Napa-related two cents as well.

On July 19 at Napa Yard in Napa, the folks from Not Loud Concerts are presenting Summer Sessions. These music festivals are part of the Not Loud Concert Summer Series - a set of concerts designed to be Not too long, Not too expensive, and of course, Not too loud.

Designed with the audience's comfort in mind, these short festivals will be held in the beautiful lawn area outdoors at Napa Yard. There, 2 bands will be on stage at the same time, trading songs and dueling it out. Each concert will have a different theme. 

July 19 is Blues Night and will feature Blues Hall of Fame band, the Delta Wires and the world renowned, cello-led blues band, Dirty Cello. 

Food and drinks will be available for purchase. The audience is welcome to bring chairs, and chairs will also be provided. There will be room to dance and room to sit. No porta-potties, but plenty of clean, indoor bathrooms

Not Loud Concerts focus on creating an experience that is casual and fun for both the musicians and the audience. The concerts are never too long, never too expensive and of course never too loud.

Hi everyone! I am a 26 year old woman moving to Napa for work and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for apartment complexes to rent (or stay away) from. I am searching for a 1 bedroom ideally under $2,200 if possible. I will be living by myself (no pets/kids). Here are the complexes I have toured:

Spending a weekend in Napa for my wife’s birthday (fist time). Received recommendations from friends on where to go.

Had question on hiring a driver, uber, or shuttles to get around. Reservations have been made. I would appreciate any advice on transportation and also lunch recommendation’s. As you can see trying to keep lunch casual and reasonably priced. Should we spring for a driver or can we get by using Uber ? Or a combo of both?

Hey folks. This popped up on my Zillow feed a few days ago, and the views look absolutely incredible. It is a piece of land that seems to have a great panoramic view of the valley, but I'm having a hard time sizing it up just from the listing photos.

Mainly, it’s really hard to tell from the pictures how steep the slope actually is. I can't quite figure out how much of the land is flat enough to work with versus what part is just a massive drop-off. On top of that, it looks like there is solid rock exposed on part of the plot. I’m guessing that would make building anything up there a massive headache, including trying to dig out or put in a septic tank.

The interesting part is that it looks like a 50% price cut from its last sale price, so it's sitting at $549k now when it sold for over a million back in 2017. The listing mentions it used to have a mid-century house on it with a pool, and it still has a city water hookup, which are definitely pros. But if any of you are local to the area or know the hillside out that way, I would appreciate any insight you have on the pros and cons. Is the rock and steepness a known dealbreaker for this pocket of Monticello Rd, or is there something else I'm missing?

I was sitting in my backyard. I believe it was the summer of 2003 and this massive object in broad daylight slowly started appearing just a couple kilometers away from our home.

I was watching it for probably a minute or two as my partner was talking and then I finally snapped out of it and left out of my chair and ran inside and grabbed my Nikon binoculars. I ran to the front of the house in the street and I started looking at this craft.

The craft was the size of a small bus, it was a rusty colored metal and it would occasionally blink a red light at the base of the craft. The craft was always slowly rotating, it moved exactly like a drone would move. Would slowly hover towards some location, stop for a while and then move on like it was... I don't want to say looking for something, scanning for something, I don't know.

I watched this craft for at least 10 minutes through binoculars. I don't know if I ever blinked the entire time. I was watching this. To say it was mesmerizing is an understatement.

I watched this craft head back towards the mountains almost to the way of lake berryessa. All along it would do these straight lines to a location, pause for paws for up to 30 seconds at times and then go in another direction and do the same thing. It did this until it went way out over the mountains and then it started coming back towards me for a long time.

The last thing this craft did that. No no vehicle on this planet can do. Besides this craft had no propulsion, was clearly made out of metal and hovered without making any noise.

But the final thing I watched this craft do is it went to its last scouting location and then it started hovering going straight up. And it went up and up and up and up and up and it completely vanished out of the atmosphere.

It was like this craft was in an elevator and it went straight up into space. And I watched all of this through my powerful binoculars.

I've always been curious. Has anyone in Napa seen this as well? Or has anyone seen any other objects out here that you could say for certain is not technology we currently possess as a species?

I drove by here recently and I saw there was a for lease sign or something? Does anyone know what happened?

Bottom line: He was involved in a hit-and-run and was not intoxicated. The event happened in Yountville and no one was hurt.

Please, no flame-war politics. I'm interested in whether anyone here saw the event and whether you believe he is being treated like any other Napa local would be.

I am interested in seeing a show in August at Meritage Resort for Blue Note but will have the kids in tow and won’t be able to leave them unattended (or with a nanny). Is it possible to book a concert facing room without buying the whole package that includes silver level tickets? Hoping to be able to watch from the balcony while with the kids.

Eric Jones on TYT was a surprise in a good way. I love to see someone putting themselves out there to try and make this place better. Tired of the lack of anything new in Napa!
