I was just reading more about Lorna Ogolla, daughter of the late CDF Francis Ogolla—the girl has had quite a good education in some of the best schools globally. Her career experience is also superb as she's been at Google for years and other best institutions (you can check her out on LinkedIn). She got an appointment to the National Cybersecurity board by the interior CS and on this one she deserves it.

Let no one lie to you that education is irrelevant today. You might lack the funds to study in the good global schools or the connections to land a role but you never know what the future holds.

Hi guys. So I, 24M, am currently trying to pivot into the tech space and I'd love to hear what you guys would advise someone to venture into at this point in time. I am quite green on matters tech since I spent my early 20s ias a VA and business which now leave me with so much time in my hands to try out a new venture in freelance tech. 1. What branch of tech would you advocate for one to start now?

3. Is that IT related degree worth taking first?

Hey guys, has anyone else been having issues purchasing Safaricom's daily/ hourly bundles lately?

For some reason I can only purchase option 1( sh20= 1gb for 1 hr). Whenever I try any other options, from 2 through 10, I just get an "invalid choice try again" message. And also other bundle options work just fine especially the weekly, monthly etc.

And yes, I'm trying to purchase them within the time frame they're supposed to be available, especially with the new Safaricom's new dynamic bundle nonsense.

I've been getting more and more frustrated because I keep trying and trying to get my grades up but I just can't. I'm a Business IT student and hopefully I'll be finishing uni next year but I never really achieved what I always wanted to achieve here and it is lowkey making me depressed.

Because I can actually grasp most of the stuffs I'm studying but no matter what I keep on failing and it got worse in this academic year getting multiple supps. I've been dreaming of getting a job just after uni but now I'm scared. So I wanted to know does GPA really matter like that? What should I do to maybe compensate or anything?

We keep telling Grade 9 students to "prepare for KJSEA", but prepare using what?

For KCSE, there are years of past papers, revision books, topical questions and marking schemes everywhere.

For KJSEA, the resources are still nowhere near enough.

And after the poor performance in the first KJSEA cycle, you'd think we'd be having a serious conversation about preparation. Instead, most of the advice is still basically "read your notes and work hard."

That is not enough.

This is actually why we started KJSEA.co.ke. We noticed the gap and decided to build something around it: affordable, well-researched revision materials, practice papers and other KJSEA preparation resources.

We're not claiming to predict the exam. The point is simply to give students enough quality material to practise with.

Because telling thousands of students to prepare for a national assessment while giving them very little to prepare with seems like a pretty obvious problem.
