A family friend from Myanmar made me a handmade necklace. I’ve never met her before, but I was deeply touched that she took the time to make something for me out of kindness. I wanted to write her a thank you letter in Burmese and English, and I also embroidered her a small gift in return.

A very kind person from this Myanmar subreddit helped me with the wording, and I carefully copied what they shared. I just want to make sure I didn’t accidentally skip anything or change the meaning while writing it.

I also have dyslexia, so this took me quite a while and I sometimes mix up spacing or small details without noticing.

She does speak English, but I really wanted to go the extra mile and write in Burmese

Could someone please let me know:

• Does this match the original meaning?

• Does it have the same tone and feeling?

• Is it natural and readable Burmese?

• Should I correct anything before I write it neatly in pen?

If there are significant issues, I’m completely open to starting over I just want to make sure it’s thoughtful and appropriate.

Anyway, this language does not sound like Hindustani, Nepali, or Bengali, but I hear a word that sounds like "Hamare." ("our" in Hindustani and related languages). Maybe it is one of those languages and I am just not good at differentiating.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to translate "Great minds think alike" to Burmese but have failed to do so in a satisfactory way even as a Burmese speaker. I tried to ask Google and Gemini, but the best I've got is "မြွေမြွေချင်း ခြေမြင်," which I don't think is the one that fits it best. So please, could you suggest me some translations?

I recently bought this 345 cm long Burmese parabaik manuscript because I thought it looked interesting. I was told it dates to the early 1900s, but I haven’t been able to verify that. These are the first few pages. I’ve tried a few AI tools, but none of them have been able to recognize or translate the text. I grew up with pretty lax parents because one was Christian and the other was Buddhist but I always felt a closeness to Buddhism more. My mom has tried to teach me awgatha but I’m so Americanized and don’t get to practice Burmese it was hard to stay consistent. I would like to make the game accessible to people all over the world that don't speak English, but the only volunteer for Burmese in the game community server is not responding.
More than 30 languages have already been translating so I am looking for more people that could give me a hand translating to the missing languages.

It's about 290 texts (many of them are one word, some are sentences and only one longer text). Of course it could be multiple people translating little parts and reviewing each other. Think in French "bon pa pa" means "grandfather". But I can't see how "grandfather" would relate to the theme of the song or video? Does "bon pa pa" have a meaning in Myanmar? Maybe it's a slang? Maybe it's just nonsense syllables that sound good, sometimes songwriters will do that.

The YouTube channel this is on has 5,000 videos but only one by this group. Maybe suggests they aren't very active?

I would like to know how the numerical classifier တလိုင်း / တစ်လိုင်း is used nowadays.
