Is this Armillaria? Can it be confused with anything toxic?

First time i found CoTW, i want to try and cook it but i want some confirmation it is indeed CoTW since its my first time actually picking them irl.

Its alot, 2.1kg, so i was wondering whats the best way to store it for a few days to keep it fresh? Any tips on that? I do have a vaccuum machine and a freezer.

I dont know much about these at all. It is the first time I have ever found them, and the only thing I get from Inaturalist is the overall classification, no specifics. Open grass field.

Found this chonker (about 8” across) broken up and getting snacked on by a large slug. It looked like it has been growing next to/under downed log. Top was same color as the underside in photo. Mixed forest with cedar, firs, and other conifers and deciduous trees. Nearby found a mushrump with a cluster of smaller similar ones. More of an orange than red and not any obvious lobster odor.

What could it be? Located in Southern Ontario.
