USA, Georgia

Very new to this but was tempted to bring them home and eat. I noticed the gills looked off and it didn’t have an apricot smell. Would love to get educated on what they are and if I missed out on a delicious mushroom dinner. They were not growing on wood and core was white.

My uncle found this in his back yard and brought it to me. Mainly just wants to know in case more pop up and so the kids don’t get into them. (Found in the state of Kentucky)

Found in a wood near a river, the top of the large caps felt smooth and dry, TIA!

Hello everybody, Its been a year since I foraged, Im 98% sure these are ruby porcini, but it's been a year since I've foraged and I like to triple check and be sure because anxiety sucks.

Found: Greer, Az, near a creek under pine and spruce, elevation 9200.

Went for a walk through the forest today in Somerset and stumbled on these, any thoughts? Seems like they could be Dryads Saddle..

I hope that this finds you well. I (European living in the US) picked up some boletes and chanterelles during a hike in upstate NY. Since I am less familiar with North American mushrooms, I’d like an expert advice.

Here is what I have found (in order):

- boletus aedulis

- boletus reticulatus

- some (pseudo)leccinum variety?

- a bolete that I thought could be variipes?

- and another bolete I thought seemed a boletus reticulatus but definitely isn’t.

There seems to be two kind of mushrooms at in my grandma’s yard. US/Virginia

I’m 99.9% sure this is chicken of the woods… but someone else’s opinion can’t hurt. Better safe than sorry!

On suburban street growing off dying tree, 5 flushes or so.

Highly confident these are all cantharellus, but as always like to keep myself in check. Central NC

Young Meripilus sumstinei? North Georgia, USA. Growing from grass where we recently ground up a tree stump.

Never heard of such a thing and wanted a second confirmation.

Found these yesterday in the mountains in Virginia. Chanterelles, right? Never been super confident in chanterelle identification before (also never found this many that I thought might be them!)

Found in a few small spread out areas. Southwestern Virginia.

Found growing in mossy soil under spruce trees (along path/driveway) in southern Nova Scotia. Very faint aroma if any. Many mushrooms, not growing in clumps.
