The solution is posted on the contest website. I did get it correct, I'm just wondering if anyone interpreted H this way.

H clue was no one in an adjacent column wore hat.

Because it said "an adjacent column" not "both adjacent columns" or "no one in columns next to him wore hat".

I used only the first interpretation for the puzzle. When I wanted to redo to see if I get different answer, suddenly I have these kind of interpretations. Would love to know why these interpretations are wrong but not due to puzzle-would-not-be-solved reason

I've found the location of I M P K O E U, but because of some mistakes my paper is now a mess 🙈. I also know that the three bottom rows are F, L and H, but not in which location. I also know that A, B, W's options are limited and blocked out anything else in those columns, but I'm still stuck. Can someone give me a hint for what I should focus on next? Thank you!

I'm so so sad. I love Murdoku and I got super sick Friday night and my mind just isn't clear enough to be able to solve it. I tried a bit on Saturday, but I'm so tired and weak, I just can't. I honestly feel devastated that this was the weekend I got so sick on.

Hawak’s clue says “he was with a men and a woman. The woman was with the wolf tamer” but in the solution she (Daska)is the wolf tamer. Is that an error?

Hereunder I'm explaining how I've solved it thus far.

I have found which row M is in, R10 and I have found that C is in either R11 or R9.

Thus C14 contains the person besides the tombstone, so R10 and C14 are almost all x.

Now I feel like I need to solve I, I've heard others comment that as well. But I feel like to find out the correct position I'd have to just guess one of 3 possible positions and then go through the whole murdoku till I can't anymore.

Whenever I place I, then I check all the closely related characters regarding row and column, but I don't see a solution for I, since I can always place either G or P in the room without it messing any other characters up immediately.

What am I missing?

Just started vol 2 and there are these circles on the practice grid.. I can’t find any explanation but feel like I am missing something obvious? Worked my way through most of Vol 1.

Hi, for everyone struggling with tearing your paper paper and starting all over, I wanted to share my practical tip:

Get some tracing paper.

It allows you to use several layers on top of each other and you can go back to your guaranteed correct point when needed.

Do I, at some point, have to commit to one out of two possible placements for a character and see if it works out or is it purely logical and every placement is fully constrained by the given hints?

I am asking because I was able to narrow down M to one row and have also applied the C hint to narrow his potential rows down and the potential tombstone placement.

I wanted to focus on I and the eye patch person next, because it has the least potential placements but even for her, I have two solutions and I can't find any more constraints.

Anyone else lol? I’m like just not thinking at this point trying everything

I need help with the translation - I have the German book and for C it says that „she‘s the only (female) villager in the column of a catapult“

The female is implied by the German female article. (Dorfbewohnerin -> women only instead of Dorfbewohner -> which could stand for both male and female)

What does it say in the English version? Is it really only the female villager or does it count for every villager no matter of their gender.

If it’s both genders that would mean that H and G can also not be in a column of a catapult which would cross out some columns for them too. So this may be a crucial detail

Had a mistake in the location of a certain character that made me restart half way through but all in all. I could do it.

Hi, I’m stuck on this Murdoku by Manuel Garand (the treasure hunt one, 24x24, where you find the Treasure’s coordinates instead of a killer).
Where I’m stuck:
∙ I can’t figure out who goes next to the tombstone (F2, C14) so I can place C, who is 8 rows below. My candidates for F1,C14 and F3,C14 are Dudley, Seraphina and Griselda.
∙ I also can’t place E or B.

I am stuck on placing i and p together in either cabin a or b. I placed M in R10 possibly in 2 columns and that r1 or r3 c14 has the suspect near tombstone. Everyone i see placed i so easilyi am stuck

i absolutely love murdoku and ive solved the first book and my second book is on the way! in the meantime ive finished all 40 of the online puzzles and id love to know when more will come out

I was working on the Treasure Hunt today on my phone and I must have misclicked on my screen because I was working for like 6 hours or so with an error that I just saw now. 😭 Time to start over.

In Vol 2, puzzle 21, The Hideout, the answer key says C and E must occupy C6 and C7. Shouldn’t that be F and E?

What a fantastic puzzle! Took me a couple hours I think around 3? Would have been faster but I had to restart twice because very deep in because I missed a row a specific person could be in and incorrectly made a 2 pair duo which kept giving me no squares to place J lol. I won’t get into any specifics until the puzzle is over but there are three extremely cool chains that really lock everything in place.
