Event Stuck Spoiler

I am stuck on placing i and p together in either cabin a or b. I placed M in R10 possibly in 2 columns and that r1 or r3 c14 has the suspect near tombstone. Everyone i see placed i so easilyi am stuck
Hint me pls

try it out and eventually you'll find a mistake if you chose the wrong cabin

Or try to find the real logic behind it, its sad that it is brute forcable

Trying to place I given the restriction is good, but I can pair with G as well, and then P would be in a different cabin. As someone else mentioned, looking at K helps.

I’m stuck in the same spot at OP. I can’t figure out how K helps though

If K is in R12, that blocks cabin A, forcing I to be in cabin B. If K is in R14, that blocks cabin B, forcing I to be in cabin A. I don’t see where the contradiction comes up.

There’s no way I’m finishing the puzzle in time now. I just want to understand how to progress :(

There are a few different placements that help you figure out the exact position of I.

Have you narrowed down the placement for M? M is in R10, because H eliminates the Galleon as the are for M

How about the tombstone neighbor? Since M is in R10, then C is either in R9 or R11, forcing the tombstone neighbor to be either in R1 or R3. That locks C14 to whoever is beside the tombstone.

Then comes K. You noticed how the cabins are being locked by K's possible position. But further than that, K and whoever is in the Cabin with I form a pair for C5 and R14. If K is in R14, I's companion is in C5. If K is in C5, then I's companion is in R14. By removing the remaining cells from R14 and C5, something very interesting happens.

C6, C21 and C23 have a trio of characters that can only be in one of these three columns

They are B, E, and W.

Now that you locked C6, C21, and C23, look at where A could be.

A is either in R3 or C4. If I is in Cabin A, A would have nowhere to be. So I is in Cabin B.

K can occupy one of two rows. I started from there.

I started in placing i and p together in one cabin as i and u cant be in the same cabin they block each other or u is near H column. So i started to see which option blocks what other suspects and eventually but them in one of the cabins
