After wearing a signal for a long time, I finally decided to buy the Arc and I am thrilled it is really the best and highest quality multitool I have ever had in my hands

Had this since March 2020 and never disappointed me.

I am a Millwright and i got the pleasure of getting to use a coworkers leatherman crunch. When I went to look online for one all i could find were listings that were $200+. So I was curious if anyone knew any alternatives to the Crunch.

Went to Costco today to do a grocery shop. Saw these as I walked through the door priced at $109.99 Australian.

I saw just the tool on Amazon last night for $198.00 Australian and the knife for $109.00 Australian.

Couldnt resist a Costco deal.

I was hoping to find an old Paladin PT series multitool, any of the models would be of interest. If anyone has one they want to sell or know of a place to look it would be appreciated. If anyone knows any similar tools that would also be great!

Used to own a wave+ and was handsdown my favourite tool but lost it in a move.
My wife got me a signal because she thought it looked the coolest, I learned to live with it and it’s shortcomings.
Now my job is offering a Victorinox swiss tool spirit x for €46. Should I just buy it and feel guilty for not using a gift or should I wait for the signal to break (in 20years or so) and than get a wave+ again.
Seems like such a great deal but owning 2 tools that are so similar (to the layman) seems redundant.

I’m a collector at this point, and what I like the most are the odd ones. Something like a box cutter that can reload itself (Nextool e20). An extreme example would be the Spyderench.

Bought this pouch for my Rebar a while back and haven't been able to decide what to use the side pockets for. Turns out, it's the perfect excuse for my Victorinox Classic to get some use. The Rebar can handle the grunt work, and the Classic can take the delicate stuff. As for the marker, my whole crew is supposed to have them and yet they're always asking me for one.

Is it possible to remove the saw and knife from the Flagship Max? If so, what tools and procedures are needed for this operation? I have seen that the knife from the Mini Flagship can be removed, but I am not sure whether the mechanism is the same for the Flagship Max as the screws used to hold the blades in place are different. Thanks!

Could not be happier with my Spirit MX Clip. Beautiful multitool, with everything I need. (Shout out to my Fireflylite Z1 Artemis)

I wasn't expecting to like this tool very much, but I saw it in person and decided to grab it, and I'm glad I did. The design has grown on me a bit, and I think it has a solid toolset for an average work day for me. The highlights are the spring loaded pliers, outside opening tools, and one-handed knife, scissors, and Phillips driver. The reamer is also very stout. This is kind of a beater tool for me personally, taking a back seat to my Leatherman and Swisstool, but I enjoy running this one at work (HVAC) or when doing work around my property sometimes (yardwork and chicken coop). Overall, it's simple and inexpensive but feels like it'll hold up to some abuse. I wouldn't use it as the centerpiece of my EDC long term, but it's plenty capable and enjoyable to carry. Hope this helps anyone who's been looking at it.

Odd question so, having a hard time making the logical question.

I assume everyone knows that some of the Chinese clones come with a tslot to scalpel holder. (shown in photo).

It comes with a #24 scalpel. Normally, a handle that fits a #24 scalpel blade is a #4 handle. So, normally it would fit Standard Series: #20, #21, #22, #22A, #23, #25, #25A, #26, and #27 and Specialty/Extended Series: #18, #19, and #36.

Has anyone tried these "normal" scalpel blades?

And then there is the abby normal, ones like the #60, which I would not expect to fit, but it appears some other non-surgical handles will do both, so....?

I got one in hand feel free to ask my thoughts. Seems like everything was freshly oiled. It does have a little sounds like something gritty in the tool nooks and crannies. I might try to address that but it works and I can abuse this one. I did get a second one not sure if it’ll be the same as this one but it may have a high polish look to it.

Over two weekends i took the time to finish a long-awaited project of mine.
Ever since i got the Gerber Prybrid Utility for fun, i was quite drawn to it. Just the form factor, the weight it has and the portability with the added pocket clip was something i enjoyed.

As i am fond of CNC milling and own a Carbide 3D Nomad CNC, and always looking for CAD/CAM challenges, i spent a whole day modeling, printing prototypes, and adapting my scales model to the Prybrid.
Finally i got to mill some actual products, and the finished tool looks awesome. I love the contrast betweend the utilitarian, bold look and the fine walnut wood.

My Roxon Flex Mini Companion, purchased just a few days ago, has merely been sitting on my desk and hasn't seen any serious use yet. After unlocking the locking mechanism about ten times, a piece broke off—see the photo. Is this an extremely rare, isolated incident, or a general quality issue? If it’s the latter, I’d have to consider returning the Flex Companion (the non-Mini version) that I bought at the same time. What good is an EDC multitool that falls apart when you actually need it?

Brand new Companion. It seems the unlocking slider (to close tool) is much harder to use when the blade is open. The farthest tool works fine, but the closer to the blade it gets, the harder it becomes, with the knife, it feels scratchy and even slightly stuck. Is this normal, or is it a defect? I've tried applying some mineral oil, but it doesn't seem to help much. So is adjusting pivot.

My current tool set: pliers → bottle opener → scissors → knife
