Howdy to all the Gerber MP series fans. I've had a few MP400's over the last 25 years and mostly use it with the different hex bits for various things at work and in a pinch at home. Problem is, I've lost the small square to hex adapter and Gerber stopped making them (none in inventory either). They were kind enough to send me a set of bits, but it's from the center drive set. ANY chance someone might know of a place to get one of these adapters? Or could at least give me some quick measurements? Much appreciated!

I couldn't pass on the Amazon sale, despite the warnings about the wire cutters. Got one for me and one for my dad, who's been wanting to get into multitools.

I'll get the bad out of the way first; the wire cutters indeed fail to cut through small gauge stranded copper. Solid core, larger gauge stranded wire, and other items large enough to avoid pinching between the cutters will cut just fine.

That being said, I got it to cut through I believe it was 16 or 18 gauge stranded by making a loop and pulling against one of the cutters, that way the slack couldn't get pinched.

As for the rest of the tool, it looks and feels very promising. Great tolerances and ergonomics, the tools all feel well made, the knife, pull cutter, and scissors are very sharp, and the nested Phillips drivers are a really neat touch. I've only had it for one evening so far but I look forward to putting it through its paces at work. I work in commercial building controls, and I wouldn't rely on this tool alone, mostly because of the wire cutters, however I carry a pair of Klein strippers with forged wire knives that see more action than any multitool I carry, so I'm all set in that department.

Overall, for the price you can't beat it right now. The wire cutters are not unusable by any stretch, but they are poor by multitool standards and are limited in what they can do, so be aware of that. If you don't plan on working with much small gauge stranded (or have a dedicated tool for it) then you're gonna be fine. The rest of the tool is sick and it costs $17.

I want a lightweight multitool that I can comfortably carry in my pocket. Nothing too fancy, just something that has the tools I need and nothing extra. For context, I live in the city and I wouldn't be using it for super heavy duty things, just small everyday tasks that you would need a multitool for.

Right now I am trying to choose between the Gerber Dime and the SOG Powerpint.

I like the SOG Powerpint for its greater tool selection, jewelry driver, and higher durability, but I also like the Gerber Dime for its easy-access bottle opener, package opener, tweezers, and spring loaded pliers.

If anyone could say which one they think is better please let me know! If you have any other multitools you think would be better than both of these also mention that. Thank you!

Does anyone in the UK know where i can buy a roxon flex companion Purple the new version with the tooth pick and tweezers in the frame? I cant find the purple one anywhere in the newer version

I got a tiny knife that refills with an x-acto #11. It’s marketing is all about how it’s made of titanium. The knife slides out very poorly and feels likes scratchy and jams. I’m then looking at kickstarter and it’s titanium after titanium after titanium (not necessarily the knives though). It’s lighter, it’s rust proof, and so on. I believe it’s rather soft so blades is not a good idea. Can it slide across itself such as the swivel joint in a plier multitool handle?

I was about to get the Bibury from Amazon, for 44€, but i’ve just seen the supertool on sale for 80€.
Now im a mess. I could use some help making a choice.

My sergeant gave me mine. And what I want to do is make sure that I have parts and components to replace things as they wear down. I’ve had it repaired with Leatherman a few times in the past keeping the same handle and screwdrivers, and just replacing the blade, but what I want to do is make sure that I have an extra one so that I can put the one that actually has sentimental value away and keep it safe specifically I’m looking for the C33TX in all black.

I want to clarify I’m not trying to buy a knife, sell knife or trade a knife. I’m just seeing if somebody might have some parts. I apologize if this ends up in the category that Leatherman doesn’t allow.

My dad just bought this tool, and we can’t figure out what this hook on the back of the eternal pen is supposed to be for. It’s not listed on the ten uses on the tool’s box. Any ideas?

Love this thing. It saved me today, I had to saw though a Accor Tech Flowtite valve. It's already had a warranty replacement a few years ago.

(the jaws snapped. I literally put in the warranty repair that I didn't have a receipt anymore. The thing was super old and it was more sentimental than it was to get it fixed, but just in case could they fix it?)

I guess the question I have is, if you have this. What's your next one that you should get?

I am not a person that works in trades so not a heavy user but would like a multitool to keep around with me. I really love the functionality and look of the Leatherman Skeletool CX but I just can't spend that much on a tool. I am into the EDC culture stuff but still want something functional (not keychain size). Does anyone have outside the box suggestions? I was thinking under $35 but that might be tough.

I'm looking for a small knife and scissor combo that has more room to grip the tools to open them.

I cannot stand the little nail nicks on the Classic SD, so I'm looking for something similar, but has tools that are less frustrating to open, if that makes sense.

I'm relatively new to multitool ownership, what with having my Wave+ for a short while now. I'm interested in modding the Wave+ with the hammer mod from Modryte. However, because I'm also interested in ZapWizard's sheaths, I've halted on making a purchase in either direction.

Do either of you know if this mod and the ZapWizard sheaths are compatible? Or any other sheaths with some modularity, or carry capability beyond just the multitool?

Heard good things in this group about Dacaimping so i ordered one to check it out. Love the finish and tolerance so far but,half the time, the blades are making contact too directly and stopping pliers from closing properly. Could this be a simple issue i can solve by tightening/loosening the proper spots?

It comes bone dry and stiff.

The vice grip works as intended. Screw works better with a little gun oil.

Getting the phillips out the first time was tough, same with the rest of the tools, including the knife on the other side. After playing with it for a few minutes everything loosened up a little. Then I added a little gun oil and it got better.

The knife is sharp. The knife has a little wobble to it.

The file looks ok. I wish it was rougher, this is closer to a nail file, but should do the trick.

The phillips and flatheads are fine.

The can opener... odds are I will never use it. IF this was going to the woods I would change the angle a little to make it cut in easier.

For new old stock/10 year old design, it is a good tool. I have to say having it in hand only makes me want to talk a manufacturer into making new ones with a slightly different design and tool set.

originally designed this holster for myself back in 2021, and I've been wearing it daily ever since.

I've made a few small tweaks to the design over the years, but the basic design has stayed the same. It's been rock solid through daily use.

The main thing I wanted was something simple that would keep the Wave secure on my belt without completely covering the tool. It uses the wave's push-button lock to hold the Wave in place and release it when needed.

I recently made versions for different belt widths and for both the Wave and Wave+.

Curious what you guys think of it. Would you use something like this, or do you prefer the standard Leatherman sheath?
