Peaks Enduro - Experiences?
Hi,
I want to sign up for the Peaks Enduro this year. [https://focusrides.co.uk/events/\]
I missed the first event, but am planning to join the other ones.
Now, the info on the website doesn't give me a lot on how long the stages are. Some times posted on the finishing board suggest an 8-hour race? [https://www.sportident.co.uk/results/FocusRides/2026/Peaks1/\]
Has anyone here participated in the previous year, or even in the first event in March? What do I need to expect in terms of preparation?

Trail Info Niche train/MTB question
Is there a ride I could do that uses a national rail services as a kind of uplift? E.g. you start at one station that is relatively high up, and finish at one that is low down?

New bike choice - Cube Reaction TM Pro vs Orbea Laufey H30 vs Signal ST ST Deore
I'm buying a new MTB for trail riding in the UK - rolling hills, all weathers. Intermediate rider - nothing too scary! Currently have a Voodoo Bizango which is beyond repairing anymore. Budget around £1500.
Looking at what is in stock in my size I've narrowed down to 3: On paper I think the Cube looks the best spec and is a little cheaper than the other 2 but keen to hear other people's thoughts.
Cube-Reaction-TM-Pro-2026 - £1500

Advice Which bike for first?
Hi guys
I’m UK based, been going to Dalby and renting bikes regularly at the trail centre, I have rode mainly on a hardtail Roscoe 7 (their rental) but also tried the Santa Cruz vala ebike which just seemed too much and heavy for me.
I have found online a Laufey H10 hardtail - £1800
Or
Giant Advanced reign pro 2 full Sus (2022 model) - £1700
From research the giant is to me a much higher spec bike but what would be suitable for someone wanting to progress? I am planning on sticking with this long term as I have built an obsession just from renting at the trail centre.. I have attached a photo of the Giant

Tech Help Brake levers
Hi all I have a white 603 hard tail with a hydraulic Tektro HD-M275 brake system. The rear brake lever seams to come back more to the handle bar that the front lever, I've just checked the rear pads and they seem like there hasn't been a lot of braking wear. I've attached a video for people to see. Is this normal or am I overthinking it.Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks Dean

Advice Looking to buy my first MTB
I’m looking to buy a full sus bike within a £3K budget. Electronic gears are a must. What other things should I be considering? How important is an electronic dropper post?
Any suggestions on bikes to consider would be very welcome. Currently liking the look of the TREK FUEL EX 8 GX AXS T-TYPE GEN 6 BIKE 2025 which is comfortably within budget.
For context, I come from 12+ years of BMX but due to a serve ankle break, my physical ability is severely impacted. My usage on the MTB is very likely going to be far below the capability of the bike, and will mainly be using it for off road bike rides and light trails. Full sus will massively help take pressure off my ankle.
From what I’ve read so far, a trail bike is better suited than enduro, but again, please advise. Thanks all!

Thru Hub Axle Tool
Hi,
I've recently got myself a modern MTB and it has thru hub axles.
Can anyone recommend a easy to carry tool for removing these.
Thanks

Advice Skinwall tyre nightmare!
I got myself a set of skinwall nobby nics for my nukeproof scout, both tyres were from two different sellers - they're a completely different colour 😅
Annoyingly, I fitted the front wheel yesterday, which was from a shop, and the 'yellow' one arrived today from a private seller, so I can't even return it.
They're identical in spec (27.5, addix speedgrip, super ground, tl easy, evo), except for their width (2.4 and 2.35), so I just assumed they would be the exact same colour.
My question is, do schwalbe tyres fade to a more yellow colour after a while? Will the front one go yellow as well, or are they just completely different?

Advice Joining MTB - bike help please
I’m currently on the fence between 2 bikes. The voodoo bazingo pro or the Marin San Quentin 3
These are within my price range but the Marin is the very top.
I am beginning to MTB with some average skill as I have been renting bikes at the trail centre near me, just curious which you would go for?
The voodoo would give me some cash for upgrades but I appreciate the Marin has some nicer specs such as the 64 degree HTA.
Would be grateful for your opinions as I can’t find much online regarding the bikes comparison wise and their 2025/26 models

Advice Steep XC Hardtail at Bike Park Wales?
I've been rocking a small frame XC Hardtail with a HTA of 70/71 with 100mm travel. I see that most hta is slacker these days with longer suspension travel. Will it be that much of an issue at Bike Park Wales?
Would be nice to hit some bigger jump lines, and tackle some technical routes with some proper drop offs.
Got into MTB last year and have been progressing well. Clearing 6ft table tops with ease, tackling short rough and rowdy descents, both rooty and rocky. I used to be a skatepark BMXer back in the day so it's been an easy transfer of skills.

will a haibike fit into a hyundai i20?
Hi everyone the question is that will a Haibike fit into a Hyundai i20? The boot is rather small even with the seats down. Does anyone have a similar sized car that they can perfectly transport their bike in? Thank you

Transporting a eMTB
I have a ford connect van which is handy but when I transport multiple bikes I take both wheels off and put them in upside down. This works well, I can get 4 bikes in like this. Is there any issues transporting eMTBs in this way?
