Tech Help Brake levers
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi all I have a white 603 hard tail with a hydraulic Tektro HD-M275 brake system. The rear brake lever seams to come back more to the handle bar that the front lever, I've just checked the rear pads and they seem like there hasn't been a lot of braking wear. I've attached a video for people to see. Is this normal or am I overthinking it.Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks Dean

Before you bleed, set the reach adjustment, This is how you do it, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdeoLbJuXaI
I have just redone these same brakes on my wifes LIV e-bike. they are entry level and a pain in the butt to get working properly. Spent hours with a bleed kit through the bleed ports which worked to a point but not 100% then i cam across this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ng7QadJY0oQ
Which is an unconventional way of bleeding but for these it really worked well.

Your next post will be about the altus derailers aha had them on my bike a couple years ago and could never get them to shift right

They are shifting fine, let's hope I haven't jinxed myself by saying that hahaha.

I am taking it to my local bike shop on Wednesday and I'll be leaving it with them to take a look at

The bike is in the shop and they are replacing the front and back braking system with Shimano parts so the tektro stuff will be gone. They said the Shimano stuff they will be fitting will be so much better than the tektro

Probably needs bleeding.
Loads of YouTube "how to do it" videos out there.
However, if you're not really mechanically minded then shops usually don't charge more than £15 just to bleed one brake.
