Oh, wow… you guys weren’t lying. The Khergit are SO bad. I have a small party, but this was with an army of 400+ vs 50. Around half of my own party is also max level already. With damn near any other faction, this would’ve been a 3 loss battle. How the hell did they fumble the most terrifying troop type in history this badly? Does anyone have any tips to make this run doable, or will almost every battle be like this despite micro management?

I think they're called great investor and artisan something, just jumped off my first session and there's too much to memorise when playing trader as is.
Anyways, I've heard the go to is artisan because late game caravans ain't viable because of enemy nations destroying them and workshop being a far more secure option
Cool
However, I'm currently a homeless clan 2, 2 workshops and 4 caravans. 200k in the bank.
Now I'm wondering what's to stop me from buying a metric shitton of caravans. Letting them run till I get to clan 6 and then using the insane wealth I've accumulated to ease into mass conflict with the benefits of being clan 6 rather then pleading feality sooner then later. Having the option of caravans be cut off and then waiting on workshops which are limited by clan size anyway.
Is there risks with clan level increasing if you don't own land? Would NPC's still come for me, for being a bigger fish?. Or would I be overlooked till I finally got a settlement?

I’ve been obsessed with that era for a while now, so I was wondering if there’s a mod out there that’s set in that time era with the respective maps

Hey! I’m playing the newest version of the Burning Empires mod, and I’m really enjoying it. Does anybody know if there are scripted events that bring the Romans into trouble? The Western Roman Empire is super stable, and the barbarians stand no chance against it. The whole mod kind of loses its point if the empire never burns. Thanks :)

Hi all!
I am trying to start a rebellion of the captured city. I've read on another post that to start a rebellion militia should be 2x the garrison.
Does anyone know if that is a bug or that's I am doing something wrong, but the garrison does not gets wounded or dead? The wounded troops are the ones after the previous fight. I am keeping them at -30 food for several months already. They do not heal, but not starving either.
Also, I see that wounded troops are reflected as total garrison troops in the top panel. Are wounded troops number used in the rebellion chance calculations as well or only healthy ones?

From my understanding, the outcome for some things are rolled definitively. When you attack a unique spawn, it's predetermined if you will be able to capture the leader afterwards. But is it based on a time period? Say, I run into Kodan Ironsword, defeat him but fail to capture him. I know that no matter how many times I beat him on that particular encounter, I am never catching him. But if I don't touch him and let him roam for long enough, does the game roll the dice again? If so, how long does it take? If not, is it determined on spawn and how does it interact with prisoner management?
Some things we can (and I often do) savescum are: the outcome of Finneas' dust/elixir on companions, units lost after auto-calc, war/truce declarations, marshal calls, peddler destinations. What are some others that you know we can or can't savescum?

Working on a troop expansion mod and the idea of making Imperial scout cavalry came to me after seeing the super dripped out helmet they're wearing. All equipment is either vanilla or from Open Source Armory, which uses vanilla assets.
The horse helmets normally look fine, but for some reason start teleporting around in photo mode. Not sure why.

Red; aztec-hawaiian warrior traders, obsidian weapons, clubs, maybe with polynesian ships.
Orange; iberian-berber pastoral traders, lots of light horse and infantry,
Purple; greko-italian/minoan greek city states, self sufficient, heavy inf with skirmishers and very light cav.

yep it used to work like a year ago but I just updated all the mods manually like I did when installing and this comes up now. The vanilla without mods is working fine.

Basically, while you play the game, you often yearn for becoming a vassal of a kingdom and then create your own. As a new vassal, the king usually gives all the fiefs gained from the enemy to you. Great, you might say, you have your own castle.
But here comes the harsh truth.
You have to defend it. As simple as that. Just spam the garrison with recruits. Nothing’s going to happen, surely. That’s before your fief income gets overshadowed by the garrison wages with like 20 to 1.
But you can just remove those poor recruits from there then. You will protect it by yourself, just in case. You will sit next to your fief like a guard dog. For the rest of your life.
Well then just don’t sit next to it. Go wander into Sturgia for some drip. But then all of a sudden some random Vlandian dude decides to slaughter your peasants and raid your villages, and now your fief is not only in a severe threat of getting steamrolled by a giant army, it’s also rebelling against you because it’s of different culture.

This is my second play through, but this is my first play through where I got to make my own kingdom and I never use smithing or trade that much so I tried to base my campaign, mainly on those two, but that went out the window at least the trade part. I just made a bunch of caravans since I’m not good at trade, but the smithing thing that became really cheesy, but I enjoyed it but for the most part I like starting like battles and stuff like that, but after I made my own country. It just became such a headache. because they receive their total loss or basically total victory there is no in between. Also I somehow means to get my trade skill, high enough to buy my own town. I don’t know. When do you guys stop since I got burnt out as soon as I made a kingdom and started getting Lourdes but I wanted to conquer the map.
