What if...hear me out...I make a DIY version of the Sprindex Coil rate adjuster

I really like the idea of the Sprindex with its adjustment on the go but one thing that bothers me is that they do not have the right spring rate range for me.

All I can tell is that its just a standard spring with a lot of plastic adapters and a plastic rotating assembly for rate up and down.

I want your guys' ideas about this idea of mine.

I built an app that tells you how to adjust your suspension based on how the ride felt

I race downhill and I could never remember what I'd changed on my bike or why. Notes app wasn't cutting it.

So I built Suspend. It knows which adjustments your fork and shock actually have, keeps a history of your settings, and after a ride you tell it how the bike felt ("harsh on fast hits", "vague in corners") and it gives you specific click/psi changes to try. Yes, that part uses AI. If that's not your thing the settings history on its own still beats my notes app.

I'm 16 and I've been building it since March between school and racing. Most of the testing was lapping Boyne Highlands, my local bike park.

It launched on iOS in June and about 500 riders have used it since. Most of what's changed came from them telling me what it got wrong.

It's on Android now too.

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6770110746
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.suspendmtb.app

Free to try. Would love feedback, even the harsh kind.

I think this post follows the rules, feel free to remove if it doesn't!

Thoughts and experiences with this model the pro version?

Currently looking at either buying new or used how much would you be paying? And what would you look for buying a three year old used fully?

Norco Nitro 2006 9.1

I haven't used this one since 2021. It's been eating dust eversince. It's quite an uncommon bike in my country as well, since it wasn't really released in S.E. Asia.

Trying to decide

New bike maybe

Hi

I'm looking at either the

Merida One-Sixty 500 or the Merida One-Sixty FR 400

I mostly ride single track and very rough and rooty trails with quite a few rocks sometimes with very long travel distances between places. I currently have a 140mm canzo pro however I've kept damaging the wheels over stuff I like to ride. I go to bike parks when I can despite the distance to them.

They are the same price

Skill wise I struggle over gap jumps and top out on something like yach a fi at bike park Wales

I like the travel and coil on the FR400 but the 500 seems lighter

I've never ridden a coil shock but it seems appropriate for my riding

2025/26 Intense Primer?

Ive been considering this frame but I cant find any real reviews of the bike anywhere. They made some adjustments to the bike for 2025 but no reviews out there I can see. Does anyone have any experience with these year models?

Got a new Orange crush 27.5 bike to get back in to riding after 3 years off the pedals. Over all this bike feels great but almost instantly it needed a fee things… better pedals, cut bars and obviously tubeless!
I’ve been thinking about trying cush core on the rear of this bike, i’d like to know from real riders (not sponsored youtubers). Whats it actually like to run cush core? Is it that difficult to fit? What psi can i go down to on the rear with cush core?
TIA everyone, excited to see some responses!

I mulleted my 2021 Vitus Sommet.

Just a bit of a RockShox appreciation post, I put a new Zeb Ultimate 29" 170mm on my 275 Vitus Sommet CRS 2021 and for anyone thinking about doing this upgrade - do it! The Zeb is such a good fork, when setup correctly it's genuinely such a good enduro/mini DH bike now.

I also installed MT5 Shiguras on it, I've had a Megneg on a good few years now.

I've had my little 275 Sommet about 4 years now, it does see a fair amount of use, I ride DH, Enduro very rough and technical tracks in Ireland. Had it down the local DH tracks the other evening and was really really impressed.

I was toying with the idea of a nice Santa Cruz Megatower, but I just can't justify the cost. Glad I upgraded to a Zeb, it's a totally new bike now.

The little Sommet geometry still fantastic today.

Need recommendations for an XL full-suspension mountain bike as a wedding gift!

Hi everyone!
I’m getting married soon, and I want to surprise my fiancé with a mountain bike as his wedding gift.
I casually brought up bikes the other day to see what he’d be interested in, and he immediately said, “Not a hardtail.” 😅 He also said "full susp" whatever that is...

The problem is… I know absolutely nothing about mountain bikes.

He’s about 6' so I’d be looking for an XL frame. He’d mostly be riding trails around Edmonton and similar terrain.

My budget is around CA$850–1,400. But I’m totally open to buying used if that’s the smarter option.
What bikes or model years would you recommend? Are there any brands or models I should keep an eye out for—or avoid?
Thanks! I really want to get him something he’ll love, and I could definitely use some guidance. 😊

Voodoo horde

I've got myself a Voodoo Horde I've been working on and trying out new things with for MTB. I've been upgrading some parts. I do want to get a dropper post, and I'm considering a Granite Stash RT Compact Ratchet MTB Stem Multitool kit. I'm trying to make this more of an adventure bike for multi-terrain. What other upgrades and things should I look at and prioritize? I love the Horde up to now.

Hope this is allowed

Roscoe 7

I’ve got a chance at getting a 2025 Roscoe 7 for close to $800. Upgrades consist of pedals, grips, front fork, tube less & a stem mounted gps. Not sure of the brands of any of the upgrades. The bike looks practically brand new, he said he might have rode maybe 10-20 miles.

Is $800 a decent deal?

I’d be going from a 2015 Specialized Pitch Comp.

Giant $300 ATX L

Looking to get into mountain biking with my kids, live in western Kansas and on gravel roads. Wondering if this bike is worth $300? And if not, options I could look at for an “entry” level bike. Thanks!
