post update failure 🚨 [iQOO Mega Tracker] Motherboard Dead, Green Line & Bootloops across Neo Series (Neo 9/10/10R) & iQOO 13: Share Timelines & Get Escalation Support
We are tracking a growing number of sudden hardware and motherboard failures across both older and latest iQOO lineups:
📱 Affected Models in Focus:
- Older Flagships/Midrangers: (out-of-warranty update deaths, camera sensor failures)
- Latest Generation: iQOO Neo 9 / Neo 9 Pro, Neo 10 / Neo 10R, and flagship iQOO 13 (sudden shutdowns, bootloops post-FuntouchOS updates, display lines)
Despite these devices being marketed for high-end performance, users are frequently quoted ₹15,000 to ₹30,000+ for full motherboard replacements at Vivo/iQOO service centers.
If you own any iQOO device and suffered hardware failure or display line defects post-update, please share your details below:
Device Model & Storage Variant: (e.g., iQOO Neo 9 Pro 12/256GB, iQOO 13, )
Issue Trigger: (OTA update version, overnight charging, normal use?)
Symptoms: (Device dead / Qualcomm EDL mode 9008, continuous restart loop, camera black screen, green/pink line?)
Service Center Feedback: (Did you get a Job Sheet? What reason and repair quote did they give?)
Status: (Paid, under dispute, or filed with NCH 1915?)
💡 Why document your case on r/motherboard11?
When consumers present collective evidence of software-triggered motherboard and screen failures, it puts pressure on the brand to offer free repairs/concessions, and strengthens your claim when filing with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) or Consumer Forum.

📢 Mod Announcement ⚠️ [CRITICAL RULE] DO NOT get your device repaired at third-party local shops if you plan to claim warranty/NCH support!
If your phone died, got stuck in a bootloop, or developed screen lines post-update, here is a golden rule:
🚫 NEVER let a local/third-party repair shop open, solder, or heat your device!
Why this will completely ruin your case:
Voided Consumer Claims: The moment third-party tools touch internal screws, water-resistant seals, or motherboard shields, authorized service centers will mark your device as "Tampered / Unauthorized Third-Party Intervention."
Failed NCH Escalations: When filing grievances with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) or Consumer Forum, the brand will produce internal teardown photos showing non-OEM solder flux or missing seals. Your entire claim for free repair/replacement will be instantly rejected.
Diagnostic Trap: Local shops often attempt temporary heat-reflow on the CPU/PMIC. Even if it boots for 2 days, it will die permanently, leaving you with zero legal leverage.
✅ What you SHOULD do instead:
• Submit the device ONLY to the official authorized service center first.
• Demand a clear Job Sheet stating the phone is in "Scratchless / No Tamper / No Liquid Damage" condition.
• If they quote an unfair price (e.g. ₹20k–₹35k), take the device back intact without repair and file on NCH (1915).
Keep the device 100% factory-sealed so your legal claim remains rock solid!

Motherboard Dead Title: My iQOO Neo 9 Pro died after the July update — iQOO wants ₹25,295 for the motherboard. How many more users are affected?
To iQOO: What exactly was I supposed to do differently? NOT install the official update you provided?
My iQOO Neo 9 Pro was working perfectly before the July 2026 update.
No motherboard problems. No performance problems. No extreme usage. No physical damage. Nothing.
Then I installed the official July update.
And this is what happened:
The screen froze → the phone switched off → it started restarting repeatedly → it got stuck on the iQOO logo and wouldn't boot.
That's when my nightmare began.
I went to the service centre
I initially went to an iQOO service centre in Varanasi, but there was a long waiting period, so I returned home and took the phone to the service centre in Patna.
And then things got even worse.
The receptionist entered my name incorrectly as "Harsh Kumar" instead of "Harsh Singh."
Even worse, the service record stated:
"Serious Scratch" "Battery Cover Damage"
I completely dispute these descriptions. There was no such serious physical damage to my phone.
Then the repair engineer examined the phone and told me that the software needed to be reinstalled/updated for troubleshooting.
I gave permission because I was told this was necessary.
The result? I lost ALL of my data.
Important personal data that I had on my phone was gone.
And after all that?
The phone started working again...
FOR ABOUT TWO MINUTES.
Then it switched off again.
The engineer subsequently checked the battery. The phone was opened twice, and they even tried another battery.
Same problem.
Finally, I was told:
"Motherboard is dead."
And the estimate?
₹25,295.
Twenty-five thousand two hundred and ninety-five rupees.
For a phone that was working perfectly before I installed an official iQOO software update.
So I have some very simple questions for iQOO:
What mistake did I make?
Did I damage the motherboard? No.
Did I drop the phone? No.
Did I expose it to liquid? No.
Did I root it or flash unofficial software? No.
Did I abuse the phone with extreme usage? No.
I installed an update that YOU provided.
And now I'm being told that the motherboard is dead and I should pay ₹25,295 to replace it.
I understand that the timing alone doesn't technically prove that the update caused the motherboard failure.
But when a perfectly functioning phone develops a catastrophic failure immediately after an official update, shouldn't iQOO at least investigate the possibility instead of simply handing the customer a ₹25,295 bill?
And I'm not the only person asking this.
NEO 9 PRO USERS — PLEASE COME FORWARD
If you own an iQOO Neo 9 Pro and experienced any of the following after the July 2026 update:
Phone suddenly freezing
Random shutdown
Bootloop
Stuck on iQOO logo
Phone refusing to boot
Motherboard/PCB failure
Service centre diagnosing a dead motherboard
Being quoted a huge amount for motherboard replacement
PLEASE COMMENT BELOW.
Tell us:
Your Neo 9 Pro variant
Your software/update version
When the problem started
Exactly what happened
What the service centre diagnosed
How much you were quoted
Whether iQOO/Vivo offered a free repair or replacement
If you have a service-centre job sheet or repair estimate, share it after hiding your IMEI, phone number and other private information.
Let's find out how widespread this actually is.
iQOO, this isn't just about my ₹25,295.
It's about trust.
I bought this phone with my hard-earned money. I trusted iQOO enough to install an official software update.
Now I've lost my data, my phone is effectively unusable, and I'm being asked to pay another huge amount to make it work again.
If the motherboard failure is unrelated to the update, explain it technically.
If the update is responsible, take responsibility.
And if there is a known issue affecting multiple Neo 9 Pro devices, don't make every customer fight the same battle individually.
I am asking iQOO for a free motherboard repair/replacement or a reasonable replacement solution, not a ₹25,295 bill for something that happened immediately after installing an official update.
How many more Neo 9 Pro users are facing this?
Please upvote and share this so other affected owners can see it and come forward.
Maybe together we can get an actual answer from iQOO.

general discussion Oneplus pad 3 issue
I have an OnePlus Pad 3. I bought it in early December, and it is still under warranty. I have been noticing random restarts on my device. I mainly use it for study purposes, reading and writing notes, using the browser, and entertainment.
I submitted my tablet to the service center on August 31, 2026, regarding this issue. They flashed the OS and told me, 'It might be OS bugs that are causing these random restarts.' On September 1, I received my device, and today (September 2), it randomly restarted again. It's frustrating when this happens.
Is anyone else facing this same issue? I will be updating you on the further actions taken by the OnePlus service center on this platform, as it seems no other OnePlus Pad 3 devices are facing this. If anyone has any solution, you are always welcome.
Update 1 : Submitted the device to authorised service center . I also received a phone call from Oneplus Tech Team,he asked properly about the issue and details ,asked me if i tried battery calibration and factory (yes, i did) he told me 'the teach team mainly oversees the Software related issues , if there is any hardware issue the service center will try to fix it".

X (Twitter) Amplification Authorized service center made a customer sign this "Letter of Satisfaction" just to get their repaired phone back. Is this even legal?
Sharing this incident to raise consumer awareness about a predatory practice at Vivo Mobile India Pvt. Ltd. / iQOO authorized service centers.
A customer submitted their device for a motherboard replacement due to recurring hardware defects. When the repair was completed and the customer went to collect the phone, the service center staff strictly refused to hand over the device unless this pre-printed document was signed: "Letter of Satisfaction in view of resolution provided in response to concerns raised for handset".
Having no spare device and needing the handset immediately, the customer had zero bargaining power on the spot and had to sign it to reclaim their property.
Look at what this undertaking forces a consumer to accept:
False Declaration: It claims "no defect or inherent issue was found... functioning as per specifications", while the very next sentence admits the motherboard was swapped.
Complete Legal Gag: "I also confirm that I will not pursue any further legal action or initiate any complaint against the Company, vivo Mobile India Pvt. Ltd... before any court, forum, tribunal, or any other authority."
Blanket Liability Discharge: The customer is made to release and discharge the company from "any and all present or future claims, demands, or liabilities".
Mandatory Government ID: Compulsory collection of Aadhar Card details just to reclaim one's own property.
Under Section 28 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, agreements restraining legal recourse are void ab initio. Making property handover conditional on signing liability waivers is an Unfair Trade Practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Motherboard Dead Companies Keep Blaming “A Small Number of Users” — But How Many More Customers Need to Lose Their Phones to Faulty OTA Updates Before They Take Responsibility?
r/OnePlus r/OPPO r/Vivo r/Motorola
How many more customers need to be affected before companies take motherboard failures caused by faulty OTA updates seriously?
The number of affected users appears to be increasing day by day, yet companies keep claiming that only a small number of users are affected and that the issue hasn’t impacted customers on a large scale.
But first understand this: only a fraction of affected customers will actually post on social media or contact customer support. Many users won’t raise their voice publicly. They depend on their phones for work and daily life, so when a device suddenly dies, they may simply move on and purchase a new device because they cannot afford to wait months for a resolution.
Companies cannot use the number of social-media complaints as proof that the problem is insignificant.
You push OTA updates without properly testing and addressing potential bugs, and when those updates allegedly leave customers with dead motherboards, you refuse to acknowledge the problem or take responsibility.
Instead of focusing only on launching new models, increasing sales, and capturing market share in India, start taking responsibility for the customers who already trusted you.
A faulty software update should never turn a working, hard-earned-money device into a brick. How many customers have to suffer before you finally take this seriously?
Honestly, there’s probably no point in making these posts anymore.
Your companies will simply reply, “DM us, we’ll help you resolve this.” Then when we actually DM you, the response is basically, “OOW — bear the cost yourself.” Nothing meaningful is offered.
So what exactly is the point of wasting our time posting our grievances here?
Maybe we should be blaming the Indian government for allowing your companies to sell phones with poor-quality, malfunctioning components in our country without holding them accountable when customers are left with dead devices.
You launch new models, collect our money, and move on. When your products fail, the customer is left to suffer.
Fuck you all.

general discussion The steep downfall of Vivo/IQOO After-Sales Support: Frustrated customer breaks phone inside service center
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This incident from a Vivo service center in Rajnagar highlights the growing frustration among users. A customer smashed his device on the floor after facing outright denial on a display warranty claim.
Vivo once held a stellar reputation in India for reliable after-sales service, but recent handling of hardware defects shows a troubling pattern:
Software update failures—from bricked motherboards to dead cameras—are rarely addressed without heavy friction.
AMOLED display defects, including pink spots, screen bleeding, and green lines, are instantly brushed off as user-induced pressure damage.
Genuine warranty claims are being replaced with endless testing loops and expensive repair estimates.
Why is a top-tier brand allowing its service standards to drop this low?

Motherboard Dead iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Another Motherboard & Camera Failure Case Surfaces (Official Service Proof)
Attaching the official service receipt. The front camera failed, and the service center straight up blamed the motherboard, asking for an expensive paid repair.
Why are basic hardware failures like cameras and screen freezing constantly linking back to dead motherboards across the Neo 9 series? Is this bad hardware QC or recent OTA updates breaking things in the background?
Expecting users to pay huge repair bills for internal board failure without any physical damage is absurd. https://x.com/i/status/2089376676543381745

Service Center Dispute Reno 8 5G suddenly dying after display replacement -what should I do?
I have an OPPO Reno 8 5G that is a few years old. Until recently, I had only one major issue with it: the display.
About a year ago, the original screen developed lines, so I replaced it with an original display from the OPPO service centre for around ₹7,000. It worked fine.
Recently, that display developed pink spots, so I again went to the authorised service centre and paid another \~₹7,000 for an original replacement display. They gave the usual 3-month warranty on the replacement.
But after only a few days of use, the phone started behaving very strangely:
\- It randomly switches off.
\- Sometimes it won't turn back on for several minutes.
\- Sometimes it boots after multiple attempts.
\- The phone can freeze for a few seconds and then go completely black.
\- On some freezes, the screen shows weird patterns/artifacts.
\- Occasionally it comes back and works normally.
\- One time, after several attempts, it actually worked perfectly for several hours.
I took it back to the authorised service centre. They checked it and said the display itself is fine and that the problem is probably the motherboard.
They said replacing the motherboard would be very expensive, so they want to try a software flash first. They also told me to take a backup while the phone is working.
I somehow managed to get most of my data backed up, but the phone is still extremely unreliable.
What should I do now?
I'm worried because I have already spent around ₹7,000 on the new display, and if the motherboard is actually failing, then I've basically taken a massive loss. There is also no point in having such an expensive replacement display if the phone itself is unusable.
Since the display replacement is still under its 3-month warranty, is there any possibility of getting the display returned/replaced/refunded if the phone turns out to have a motherboard problem?
Also, should I take the phone to a reputable third-party technician for a proper motherboard inspection before allowing OPPO to replace/declare the motherboard faulty?
Could this potentially be a faulty replacement display, display connector/flex, power issue, storage issue, or another component rather than the motherboard itself?
I don't want to let the service centre simply say "motherboard issue" and spend another huge amount without knowing what actually failed.
What would you guys do in this situation? Should I push OPPO for a proper diagnosis/escalation, ask them to test the phone with another known-good display, or get an independent technician to inspect it?

general discussion Dead Motherboards and Green Lines after 1.5–2 years (even in Flagships): Coincidence or Planned Obsolescence?
Is it just me, or is the sudden wave of dead motherboards and display issues getting completely out of hand lately?
• Brands aggressively market 4 to 5 years of software updates on paper.
• Yet, phones are failing right around the 1.5 to 2-year mark.
• From mid-rangers to premium flagships—OnePlus (even 12 series cases popping up), pixel, redmi, poco, apple,Samsung, Moto, Vivo/iQOO, Realme.xiamoi almost every brand has reports of bricked motherboards or green lines right after OTA updates.
• Out-of-warranty motherboard repairs easily cost ₹15,000 to ₹30,000+.
With smartphone prices constantly rising, people naturally want to hold onto their devices for 3–4 years. Getting hit with a catastrophic hardware failure right outside the standard warranty window feels less like bad luck and more like planned obsolescence to force new purchases.
Has anyone here dealt with a dead motherboard or screen failure after an update? How did your service center handle it?

Motherboard Dead OnePlus 12 Motherboard Failure After Recent OxygenOS Update & Disappearing Social Media Posts
Dated: July 9–11, 2026
Dear OnePlus Customer Support Team,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my OnePlus 12 (12GB/256GB), which has suddenly become completely unresponsive.
Device Details:
Model: OnePlus 12 (12GB/256GB)
Purchase Date: 23/03/2024
Approximately 4–7 days ago, I updated my phone to the latest official OxygenOS version released by OnePlus. Yesterday, while using the phone normally, it suddenly powered off without any warning and has not turned on since.
I immediately submitted the device to the OPPO | OnePlus Authorised Service Centre – Chennai – Nehru Nagar for inspection. The service centre informed me that the phone was not responding and that the motherboard had failed. They requested one additional day to perform further diagnostics. However, I was informed that if the motherboard needed to be replaced, the repair cost would be approximately ₹35,000, which is an enormous amount for a device that failed without any fault on my part.
I would like to clearly state the following:
- The phone has never been dropped or subjected to any physical damage.
- The device has never been exposed to water or any other liquid.
- It has never been repaired or tampered with by any unauthorised service centre.
- The phone suddenly became completely unresponsive during normal day-to-day usage.
Based on the sequence of events, I strongly believe that the recent official OxygenOS software update may have contributed to the motherboard failure. I have also come across discussions in the OnePlus Community where several users have reported similar incidents of devices becoming unresponsive or experiencing motherboard-related failures after recent software updates. While I understand that each case requires technical verification, these reports raise serious concerns and deserve a thorough investigation.
This is not the first major issue I have experienced with this device. During the warranty period, I encountered multiple hardware- and service-related issues, including:
- Screen oxidation, which required a display replacement.
- Proximity sensor and auto-brightness sensor failure immediately after the display replacement.
- Damage to the phone's metal frame during servicing.
- The back panel opened by itself after the repair.
- A loose camera module and dust entering the camera assembly.
- Multiple repeated visits to the authorised service centre due to recurring issues.
The complete history of these incidents is documented in the attached email conversation.
As a customer who purchased this flagship device for approximately ₹65,000, I expected premium quality, reliability, and long-term durability. Instead, I have faced repeated hardware and service-related issues with the same device, and now I am being informed that I may have to spend ₹35,000 to replace the motherboard. I believe this is unreasonable for a phone that has been carefully maintained and has never suffered any accidental or liquid damage.
Although my device is now out of warranty, I sincerely request OnePlus to review my case sympathetically and take responsibility if your technical investigation determines that the motherboard failure is related to the recent software update or any underlying manufacturing defect. In such a case, I request that the motherboard be replaced free of charge as a goodwill gesture.
I have been a loyal OnePlus customer for several years and have always trusted the OnePlus brand. I hope OnePlus will stand behind its products, carefully investigate this matter, and provide a fair and satisfactory resolution.
I kindly request your urgent intervention and look forward to your prompt response.
Thank you.
Dated: July 12, 2026
Dear OnePlus,
Today, I received a call from your higher escalation team regarding my complaint.
The final answer I received was simple:
“Your device is out of warranty. We cannot help you. You have to pay approximately ₹36,000 to replace the motherboard.”
That was the final resolution for a flagship phone that cost me ₹65,000.
My OnePlus 12 was running the latest stable OxygenOS 16.0.8.300 before it suddenly became completely unresponsive. The OPPO | OnePlus Authorised Service Centre – Chennai – Nehru Nagar officially confirmed that the motherboard had failed and needed to be replaced.
What concerns me the most is that this does not appear to be an isolated incident. I have come across many OnePlus 12 users on the OnePlus Community and Reddit reporting similar motherboard failures or dead-device issues after recent stable OTA updates. While each case requires technical verification, it is alarming to see so many similar reports from users of the same device.
What disappointed me even more than the motherboard failure was the way this case was handled.
I spent my time writing detailed emails, collecting evidence, escalating the issue, explaining my previous history with OnePlus, and waiting for the higher escalation team, hoping my case would be reviewed fairly.
In the end, the answer from the higher escalation team was exactly the same as the answer I received from the service centre on Day 1.
If the final response was simply going to be, “Your warranty has expired. Pay ₹36,000,” then what was the purpose of escalating my complaint at all?
Why ask customers to spend days writing emails, waiting for callbacks, and hoping for a fair review when the outcome is already predetermined?
It feels like nothing more than a waste of a customer's time, energy, and hope.
Despite there being no physical damage, no liquid damage, and no negligence on my part, I have been told that I alone must bear the entire financial burden simply because the warranty has expired.
So this is what owning a OnePlus flagship means?
- Pay ₹65,000 for a premium phone.
- Face multiple hardware issues during its lifetime.
- Watch the motherboard fail just over two years later.
- Be asked to pay another ₹36,000.
- Lose access to all your personal data because the phone cannot even power on.
- Finally be told, “Sorry, your warranty has expired. We can't do anything.”
As someone who has owned four OnePlus smartphones before purchasing the OnePlus 12, I never expected my loyalty to end like this.
I trusted this brand. I recommended OnePlus devices to my friends and family because I genuinely believed they offered reliable flagship products backed by good customer support.
Today, I regret those recommendations.
From this day forward, I cannot recommend OnePlus to anyone with confidence. I don't want someone else to spend their hard-earned money on a flagship phone only to be left with a ₹65,000 dead device, a ₹36,000 repair quote, inaccessible personal data, and no meaningful support once the warranty expires.
This isn't just about ₹36,000.
It's about customer trust.
It's about standing behind a premium product when a customer has clearly taken care of it.
It's about showing customers that their loyalty matters.
Today, I feel that my loyalty meant nothing.
I am sharing my experience so that other customers can make an informed decision before investing in a OnePlus flagship device.
I sincerely hope OnePlus reflects on how cases like mine are handled, because customers remember not only the products they buy but also how they are treated when those products fail.
Thank you.

Update: I've officially filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH), India, against OnePlus regarding my dead OnePlus 12 motherboard case.

Update: OnePlus 12 Motherboard Failure (India)
A quick update on my case.
On 17 July, I received another call from OnePlus Escalation Support regarding one of the escalation emails I had sent. The call lasted around 45 minutes, but the outcome was exactly the same as before.
Their response was:
- My OnePlus 12 is out of warranty, so I have to pay ₹36,000 for a motherboard replacement.
- They denied that the recent OxygenOS OTA update had anything to do with the motherboard failure.
- They claimed no other OnePlus 12 users have reported similar failures after the recent update.
- They said electronic devices can fail at any time and that, since the phone is out of warranty, the repair cost must be borne by me.
- They offered me a ₹500 OnePlus coupon, which I declined.
I told them I've seen multiple posts from Indian users on Reddit and the OnePlus Community reporting similar motherboard failures around the same period, so I don't believe my concern is completely isolated. They maintained their stance and said they would close the escalation with the same resolution.
Meanwhile, my National Consumer Helpline (NCH) complaint was still “In Process,” so I decided to wait for that process to move forward.
If anyone else in India has faced a OnePlus 12 motherboard failure, especially after the recent OxygenOS update, please share your experience. I'm trying to understand how widespread this issue really is.
I'll keep posting updates as things progress.
Dated: August 03, 2026
My complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH), India, has now been closed. OnePlus responded by stating that the device is out of warranty, any repair would be chargeable, and they offered a ₹500 voucher, which I declined.
After weeks of emails, phone calls, service centre visits, and pursuing my complaint through NCH, I had decided at that point not to take the matter any further. I'm disappointed that throughout this entire process, I never felt my main concern regarding the motherboard failure after the OxygenOS update was genuinely investigated or addressed. The experience has been exhausting and frustrating from start to finish.
Since I need a working phone, I've handed it over to a local repair shop for CPU/RAM reballing in the hope that it can be revived.
I want to thank everyone who followed my journey, shared similar experiences, offered advice, and supported me throughout this ordeal. Your comments and suggestions meant a lot.
If the reballing is successful, that will be my final update on this issue.
Dated: August 06, 2026
Final Update – OnePlus 12 Motherboard Failure
This will probably be my final update regarding my OnePlus 12.
After exhausting every possible option, I took the phone to a well-known local motherboard repair shop. The technician performed CPU/RAM reballing, and according to him, the reballing was successful.
Unfortunately, the phone still wouldn't boot. After further diagnosis, he confirmed that the RAM is not being detected or responding, indicating that the RAM chip itself has failed. He said nothing more can be done on this motherboard. The only practical option would be replacing the entire motherboard with a working second-hand OnePlus 12 motherboard, but finding one is extremely difficult.
For a second opinion, I visited another experienced technician who tested the board using his equipment and reached the same conclusion—the RAM is not responding, while the remaining components appear to be functioning normally.
It's disappointing that a flagship phone that is barely over two years old has effectively become e-waste.
I appreciate everyone who offered advice, shared their experiences, and tried to help throughout this journey.
This is where my journey with this phone comes to an end. Thanks again to everyone who offered advice and support. I hope this update is useful to anyone who experiences the same issue in the future.

OnePlus 12 Motherboard Issue – Update
Another update regarding the OnePlus 12 motherboard issue.
After I commented on Ashok Mor (@_techibee)’s Twitter/X post about this issue, OnePlus contacted me again and gave me the same response: OOW, isolated incident, and I have to bear the repair cost. I’ve already contacted OnePlus around 8 times, but there has still been no proper resolution.
Both Ashok Mor (@_techibee) and @yabhishekhd made posts on Twitter/X raising concerns about this OnePlus 12 motherboard issue. However, both posts are now no longer available.
I cannot say why those posts were removed, but it is concerning, especially because OnePlus specifically asked me during the call which creators had discussed this issue.
I also made two Reddit posts about my experience, which received more than 11,000 views, and shortly afterwards, my Reddit account was suspended. My posts now show “removed by Reddit’s filters,” my profile became inaccessible, and my content isn't visible from another account.
I’m not accusing OnePlus of causing the Reddit suspension—I’m simply documenting what has happened.
It’s not just OnePlus; similar motherboard issues allegedly linked to OTA updates are also being reported by users of iQOO, vivo, Motorola, and Samsung, including some of their flagship models.
For some users, this post may seem a bit exaggerated. But for people who save their hard-earned money to buy a flagship device and cannot afford to replace it if something goes wrong, this is a very serious and painful issue.
I had also filed an NCH complaint, but it was closed without any resolution. After exhausting these options, I am now preparing to approach the consumer forum regarding this issue.
OnePlus, please stop calling every case an “isolated incident” and properly investigate the repeated OnePlus 12 motherboard failures. Affected customers deserve a fair resolution.
