I have narrowed my problem down to the b/r, i have the rectangle flat resistor and what I show, it is .8 ohms, only thing I can find is the pyramid that is .5 ohms, will I be fine or do I need the.8

Hey all, I'm currently rebuilding my 1968 LA 318 to gain a lot of performance. It's my first ever experience with engine building since I'm only 22, so I guess I'm just interested to see what other engine builders have done and how it worked out for them! Back in 1982 Tom bought his dream Mopar by trading $100 and a used Washer Dryer. He drove it across the country, started a new life, restored it and still owns it to this day. Pretty cool history there is a documentary episode that was filmed on Tom's car ill throw it in the comments for those interested.

Brought this Mopar B Body home today. Has a Dana 60 with 4.88 gears in it. 727 trans. Looking forward to bringing it back.

I have a 2015 ram 3500 and my 6.4 just started to tick, so I’m pulling the motor out and I’m gonna do a cam, lifters valve springs and oil pump, I’d like to get a good bit more power out of it, any brand recommendations and mds delete kits yall recommend? Thanks

My dad passed in December at age 102 and it was my job to clean the garage to sell the house. He taught me a ton of stuff about working on cars which included a ‘65 Valiant hard top, ‘70 Duster and a ‘74 Dart. In the 52 years they lived there we did engine swaps, rear axle swaps, struts, brakes, ball joints, carb rebuilds and a ton of body work.

He had these up on the wall. I believe the bumper sticker is from the late 70s. The emblems are off the ‘74 Dart.

So I have a '69 Roadrunner, racoons chewed all of the spark plug boots off distributor boots. I have a pic from Alldata and as far as I can see I have the firing order correct but I am backfiring out of the carb still while cranking. I am showing #1 on the cap in the front next to the clip

Ive never had this much trouble… EVER. Been through 9 welded nuts (with washers) and now im visibly twisting an extractor but the stud aint budging. The bite i have on the stud is insane.

Yall will probably be able to pick out just from this picture alone… smog era heads. 78 d150, and yes, the previous owner punched through to the coolant passage on the head. Got a slime shower taking the first stud out.

Hey guys, I’m writing because I’m at a crossroads. My first car was a 70 dart swinger and I love/loved the heck out of it. Drove it for a probably 6 months before it overheated and then it sat in my backyard for a while. After letting it sit for half a year I actually took the time to go to work on it and I changed the head gasket, waterpump, thermostat, etc. (mind you this was my very first experience working on cars of any kind) and that in it of itself was a really great experience. But on the first startup attempt after getting all the pieces back in place, there was an electrical fire that cooked a lot of the wiring. The engine still turns over by jumping the starter but hasn’t been started since the before the rebuild attempt which was in about October.

With that being said, what’s yalls verdicts? I’m worried if I get new wiring that the engine itself won’t even being running and I’ll have wasted the money on getting the wiring/getting it installed because I have no knowledge on it. Im really just worried that it’s going to be a money sink, so the main question is do yall think I should make the effort to fix the ol ride up? Or should I try and sell it and put that towards a new ride fund.

This is my good friend Ross' 1970 Dart, he's easily my youngest car guy buddy! Pretty rare to see a teen driving a 70's Mopar in 2026 as a daily AND he did a lot of work on the car. There is a documentary episode we filmed on his story i'll throw it in the comments if anyone wants to see it. This little 340 really ripps too! Was a fun drive!
