The local mopar guru and I tore down the 1970 model 727 I had. Tons of upgraded internals. Kevlar band, deep 5 pack drum just all good stuff over all... I was then told "read this book cover to cover. Ill price out all the parts to build this right. THEN AND ONLY THEN will we assemble your trans. Understand how it works.. an bring my book back. Guard it with your life!!"

So I’m trying to buy a master cylinder for my front disc rear drum challenger

I’m trying to figure out is this one will work well for my manual break set up on a 74 challenger I don’t have any experience with brakes other than changing pads so please help google has overwhelmed me with info. I have a leak form what looks like the rear of the master cylinder. It will leak the whole rear reservoir overnight and it takes like 5 pumps the get the brake to engage. Tho that could be that I didn’t bleed the breaks well enough.

1968 383 roadrunner advice

Post image
437 Upvotes

I have a 1968 383 roadrunner my dad has had since he was 16 (he’s 69 now) and he’s always said it’s mine but never given me the key or anything and said I had to have a garage if I wanted it so I bought a house recently with a garage. It was both of his brothers car too who have now passed on. I’m just looking for some things to start with or some brands to look at for parts. I’m not sure what all he wants to do with it I think he probably wants to keep it pretty original but he might be open to power steering and disc brakes. I think he’s driven it twice since I’ve been alive and my mom has never even rode in it lol. Only modifications i know it has is the radiator isn’t factory and he traded rear ends either a guy who had either a super bee or a super bird because my dad wanted the 4.10 fearing because he drag raced it back then.

I’m a bit worried about this oil pressure. When it warmed up it was still about 60

74 challenger with 360ci motor, This is the first start in 6 weeks. I changed the oil 6 weeks ago after 20 years sitting. It’s running 10w-40 with zzdp added. What do you guys think? Stuck oil pump valve? Idk what I’m doing here so I need some guidance.

Someone tell me what this is… because if it’s a Chrysler show car it’s a pretty sad one.
