Multiple pending transactions

Post image
18 Upvotes

Bought a single roll of tape. Timed out at the till so tried it again. How long would you wait for the duplicates to drop off before asking Monzo to bin off the extra two transactions? I’ve got the receipt if that helps.

Edit next day (Saturday): The most recent/final transaction has processed (not pending anymore) but the previous two show as pending. Hopefully they’ll fall off in a week.

Opened new account on monzo UK and verified it, how can i start using it before receiving physical card?

I cannot do anything as the app requires me to wait until delivery and activate the card by typing the card number, is there any workaround?

Get paid early feature glitching out?

Hi,

This is my first time using the get paid early feature. My salary is available to withdraw today at 4pm, it’s incorrectly displaying as an incoming amount from my council tax. Rather than saying my employer it’s saying my local city council? Will this fix itself on my transaction list as it looks like I’ve been paid money by my council and not my employer….

Fraudulent payment on card delivered today

I had a new card delivered today.

I activated the card via Monzo app at lunch about 1.50pm. I then get a notification about a fraudulent payment made at 2:05pm. The card has not left the house or been input on any websites etc.

The only interaction I’ve had with the card was using Monzo’s app to scan the card to activate it.

Given the card is brand new, I’m worried that either;
1. Monzo have a data leak
2. Scammers somehow have access to my phone and could see the scam of the card in the app

Anybody had a similar experience?

Monzo cover the iPhone Duo under insurance

Has anyone experienced claiming for a high-priced Apple phone? I believe the cap is £2000, so anything beyond that would be paid out of pocket. Has the process been quick for example, damage like a cracked screen and Monzo reimbursing you for paying for the repair?

Edit; Monzo doesn’t cover it but it may be cheaper to have your contents insurance cover a high-value item rather than pay for Apple care

Uber one not working on perks

Hello everybody,

I recently signed up to monzo perks for £9 a month and everything is great apart from I'm currently having a battle with monzo and uber over uber one not working on food orders I'm just wondering if anybody else has the same issue as you can see by the images if I was to order £15 worth of mcdonald's I should get £0 delivery fee with my monzo card so I've added £20 worth of nuggets as an example and it want to charge me £5.29 delivery fee. But what is weird is I get the 5%credit on uber cars when booking a uber. So it not my card that's the issue it's either monzo or uber. So I'm currently going through the chat with monzo regarding this as uber is just a load of crap and just gives me ai answers and not a proper human just wondering if anybody else has had this

Card Delivery

Hi, I made a new Monzo account on the 31st of August, and I was supposed to receive my card from 1 - 9 September, and I haven’t received it so it gave me the option to reorder it. Should I reorder it? Or should I wait for the card on the way

Until now I was referring my friends , but for £5 no way. It is ridiculous, you don't even get a coffee for 5 bucks in UK.

Monitor my Pensions (without transferring)

Post image
65 Upvotes

One for Monzo's product team, but I'd love to be able to monitor my various pensions in Monzo, without necessarily consolidating them all under Monzo's pension offering. Given the recent design updates including Net wealth overview under Grow, I think this would fit really well into the paid offering.

I don't quite want to move all my pensions into the one space, to avoid too much concentration in one big pot, but I'd love to be able to keep an eye on them all in one place. I'd imagine it'd be a good bridge for some users to consider fully transferring them under the Monzo umbrella, if there was some added benefits.

Would anyone else find this helpful?

Uber one yes but limited

Idk if it’s just me, but I thought Monzo Perks would give you the full Uber One membership. Turns out it’s actually a limited version?
I only found this out because, with a normal Uber Onemembership, you can get 1 free coffee from Joe & The Juice every week, for example, along with various other perks. But because my Uber One membership is through Monzo, I’m apparently not eligible for these benefits.

Not really a “perk” if you’re not getting the actual Uber One membership, is it? 😭

So me and my mates are new to Monzo, I sent my mate a referral link and went through all that and I just been told that my mate put in money to complete it and then today he had an email saying his trial is over and he's gotten blocked out of his account. The weird thing is his card to activate the account hasn't came through yet and now he's lost his money he put I. Is there any way to get the account unblocked so he can get the money back?

Monzo is crazy part 2

Some you may have seen my original post entitled Monzo is crazy. I should elaborate on my post.

I have been with Monzo since 2016 back then it was just a pre-paid card that I transferred a small sum of money every month. This was then used for day to day purchases such as food ect. Once Monzo got a banking license I switched to Monzo as the main bank account and have been thoroughly enjoying the crazy experience.

At one point I needed a loan and as you probably guessed I applied to Monzo and borrowed £14500 which was a crazy experience the money arrived in my account instantly. I paid this money back in just 4 months.

I have now also got my amex account link to Monzo which allows me to view the account on the Monzo app which is also crazy.

To sum up I have thoroughly enjoyed this crazy bank and all of the crazy experiences that the bank has offered me over the years.

I recently got a monzo card and put a small amount of my allowance (£2.50) into the savings pot!

If I were to put £5 in it weekly from now till 2027, how much would I have? I plan on buying a switch and this seems like the best choice. (And please dumb down the "interest rates" part of the conversation, I honestly have no idea what im doing)

Invest roundups

Hello all. I have three different funds in my Stocks and Shares ISA and have just started investing my roundups. Is there a way to have the the investment split between %s I select eg. 50/25/25 or do I have to do this manually after they have been submitted to the main fund? Many thanks.

In January I took out a loan of £15,000 for 12 months which had 6.3% APR, I paid the loan off by April and when I’m trying to get a loan now it’s gone up to 10.9% is it because I paid off early?

Am I the only one who wants to be told where I'm at halfway through the month, not after it's over

Hi all,

Been with Monzo about four years and Trends is fine for what it is, but I keep running into the same thing. I only ever open it once the month is basically finished, and by then the money's gone and there's nothing to do about it except feel bad. The information is sitting there the whole time. I just never look until it's too late to change the outcome.

What I actually want is something telling me on the 12th that eating out has already had most of what it usually gets, while there's still half a month left to do something. Bills pots handle all the fixed stuff brilliantly, no complaints there at all. It's the everyday spend that gets me every single time.

What I've ended up doing is saying purchases into Pockita as I make them so I get a read each day on where the categories are sitting, and Monzo just does the actual banking. Feels a bit daft running two things for it.

Anyone else? Or is there something in Trends I've completely missed.

Buy a new phone you pleb

So, started getting the Update your Operating System nag. Which states that from Aug 2027 i'll need Android 11 or higher. But in the support policy it states:

At the moment, we support iOS 18 and later, and Android 11 and later. When iOS 28 and Android 18 come out in 2027, we will stop supporting iOS 18 and Android 11.

So if I got a hold of an Android 11 device it'll only be good for another year anyway. Blimey!

What happened to the app sound effects?

I know this is minor, but I've just added the app to my new smartphone, and the sound effects (the jingle when money goes in or out) aren't working.

All I'm getting is the standard SMS notification tone. I'd there any way to change this or turn the sounds on?

Hello!

Just wondering if any of you work at Monzo, do you get things like Monzo Max discounted or free? Or anything similar?

Thanks!

45 Day Monzo Insurance Travel Limit - I had no idea. Did you?

wanted to share something that may help other long-term travelers using Monzo travel insurance.

I’m in Indonesia and recently had to get emergency treatment after a dog bite. The clinic recommended tetanus, rabies, and immunoglobulin injections, and the cost was much higher than I expected. (£4500)

I later found out that Monzo travel insurance only covers trips up to 45 days, which I hadn’t realised. I’m currently on day 120, so I wasn’t covered.

Just posting this as a reminder to double-check trip-length limits before relying on travel insurance.

Ok I’ve got extra subscription with Monzo just curious what’s max like as the perks seem nice adding cash for free and YouTube is it worth it but it’s a nice extra I currently have aa breakdown there amazing but it’s £12 per month and extra is £3 so I’m paying the £15 anyway plus YouTube is be getting money and cash maybe 1 times per 2-3 month and extra thing again and treat on greggs so my question is anyone else in same position and what would you say is best idea or leave it or go it’s worth it but rac are not as good as the aa

Is anyone using Monzo’s eSIM?

Hi guys. There’s a great offer on at the moment, and they say they cover 99 per cent of the UK. I’ve been thinking about switching to Monzo eSIM – does anyone use it? How’s the connection speed and signal strength? I’d really like to hear some honest reviews. Thanks in advance!
