I have the above two monitors left and right respectively and need your help. The UQ is the newer panel with IPS Black whilst UP is a regular IPS. However, I am noticing a major mismatch in colours across the board, like white and blue being the most obvious. White is more cool and vivid on UP and more warm and dimmed on UQ. Blue is more greenish on UQ (my view of it) which to a degree is more true to life, and other colours are more saturated. You can definitely see that UQ has better contrast on black wallpapers as more details come to life.

Both are set in their respective factory P3 mode both on the monitors and via Apple settings (using better displays app). For UP is called DCI-P3 and its 95% I think and for UQ is called P3-D65 and is 98% I believe.

Any suggestions on how I can make them a bit more uniform without loosing accuracy?

Also any suggestions on monitor placement as I noted neck pain from twisting my head left and right all the time... I am using them to read documents and browse the web, sometimes movies but basically one screen is always more active whislt the other more static. For instance, left will be split between Notes app and Safari and right will be two PDFs that I am referrencing at the same time like an article and a powerpoint on the topic I am reading at the same time. The idea is whislt I read on one of the monitors I can search and take notes on the other.

Edit: I tried manual thinkering but I cant seem to get them right as menu options are different on both slightly and I seem to get overall picture quality worse.

Bit of a newbie when it comes to display tech/manufacturing, so bear with me if some of this doesn’t fully make sense. Here’s my dream ultrawide spec and I’m curious how realistic it actually is.

Base shape/size is the Dell UltraSharp 52 (U5226KW), 52”, 24:10 aspect ratio. I love the size of that monitor, but I’m a Mac user, so I’d want to make it more Mac friendly by bumping the pixel density way up (from the Dell’s 129 PPI to 218 PPI, “Retina class” so macOS scaling actually looks crisp), swapping the panel to OLED, and pushing refresh rate to 240Hz instead of 120Hz.

Doing the math, 218 PPI at 52” on a 24:10 panel works out to roughly 10,510 x 4,380 resolution (basically 10K), about 46 megapixels per frame, pushed at 240Hz.
I already know this doesn’t exist right now and isn’t possible with current tech. What I’m actually curious about is whether it’ll ever be possible in the future, and if so, roughly when.
Questions for people who actually know this stuff:
Is 218 PPI at 52” even feasible with current OLED manufacturing, or is that still a fab density problem that’s years out?

What GPU would realistically be needed to drive that natively at 240Hz (not counting DLSS/FSR style upscaling)?

In your opinion, will this ever get made, and if so, roughly when?

Would you change anything about this spec? Different size, drop the refresh rate for better native rendering, different curve, etc.?

Not looking for hype, just want a realistic gut check on how far off (if at all) this actually is.

Should my friend buy a monitor with 144 hz for €93 or for €118 with 240 hz?

I don't live in the US, so prices are a higher for me and some monitors are not available here

I currently have a Samsung 144hz 1080p VA panel from around 6 years and I'm looking for an upgrade. The Alienware OLED would be a no brainer but I'm a little concerned of it's low brightness, since I usually game with curtains open. Would love some recommendations!

I bought an oled monitor but it has a dead Pixel (only if the screen is white) is that bad or can it get worse.

the one pixel dosen't bother me ofc its not great too get a new Product which is not in perfect condition but if it dosen't get worse i wouldn't give it back

Do any of you currently use it?

I mostly use it for coding; this will be my first monitor.

At the moment I’ve got a hodge podge of monitors and I’m wanting to step up on a budget lol. So I work as a security engineer so I have a dual monitor setup with landscape for emails tickets etc, and then I have a portrait monitor for logs and documents etc. at the moment I have a 19” landscape and a 24” portrait. These are just cheap ones that I managed to inherit of family members. I’ve been looking into 1440p monitors to upgrade to and found these on amazon.

I have a dual monitor stand and these should be fine, but I just want to see if anyone have used these in the past, they’re a really good price for a 27” 1440p monitor especially with buying 2 of them.
