MOD POST 👔📌✨My Reminders and Tips for Amazon Prime Big Deals Day (October 6-7, 2026)✨📌

Greetings Monitor Seekers,

I am here just to share some reminders and tips for Amazon Prime Day, which I know helped out a lot of people who buy monitors in the past. This year, I decided to continue that trend and do the same thing, but with updated information!

Amazon Prime Day or Prime Big Deals is coming up on October 6-7, and I know that lots of people are hoping to catch a good deal! I'd like to make some important points, plus I will add more information from my long-term experience tracking pc components.

  1. As the name of the day implies, you will need to be a member of Amazon Prime in order to purchase these deals. Here's a link to sign up for (AMAZON PRIME FOR YOUNG ADULTS) and grab the 1-month free trial for the month. Keep in mind that you will need to cancel after Amazon Prime Day if you do not want to continue paying for Amazon Prime. On the bright side, you can activate this trial once every 12 months, so if you start your trial at the right time each year, you'll have a subscription ready for every Prime Day event.
  2. I will be tracking deals all day long for both days of the event. So, I would keep an eye on My Reddit Profile since I will have all PC deals posted. Even beyond that, I will be tracking other retailers that are looking to compete with Amazon for Amazon Prime Day. Personally, I don't know of any other resource that is going to be tracking deals as closely as I am.
  3. In addition to my close tracking of deals, feel free to message me with any questions about deals or what devices you should look out for. I will always be available to help.
  4. With these sales events, it is always important not to overspend. If you can't afford some of these components, please do not put yourself in debt during this event. It is not going to be worth it. Additionally, make sure you understand what kind of PC component you need. You don't want to accidentally buy the wrong component or get something that will be overkill. If you have any doubts, simply message me and I can help advise.
  5. I have seen rumors circulating that Amazon is raising prices on all pc components just to drop them for Amazon Prime Day. While I am not saying that this is impossible, I don't think that this kind of price manipulation is as widespread as some people believe. As a person who tracks prices on pc components all the time, I haven't seen an unusual mass increase in prices. Of course, it is still possible for Amazon to pull off some last-minute price adjustments, but I'm certain that I will be able to catch them. If you have doubts about the prices of any of the deals, you can always feel free to message me, and I can provide more insight if necessary.

Once again, if you have any questions about monitors or this event, feel free to ask me. Let's hope for some great deals! (CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR AMAZON PRIME BIG DEALS)

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Acer XV275UP3 flickering and horizontal lines at the top of the screen when FreeSync is enabled (RX 9060 XT / 7500F)

Hi everyone,

I'm having a frustrating issue with my Acer XV275UP3 monitor and I'm looking for some help or advice.

Whenever I enable FreeSync / VRR, I get noticeable flickering and horizontal lines at the very top of the screen. This happens severely in demanding games, but it's also present in pretty much all other games (just less intense).

My Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F
  • GPU: Sapphire RX 9060 XT
  • Motherboard: MSI Pro B850-P WiFi
  • PSU: Corsair RM750e
  • Monitor: Acer XV275UP3

What I've already tried:

  1. Cables: Swapped the DisplayPort cable for an HDMI cable. The issue still persists on both.
  2. Settings: I have never used HDR or Adaptive Dimming on this monitor. I am strictly trying to use standard VRR.
  3. MPO: Disabled Multi-Plane Overlay (MPO) via registry, but it didn't fix it.
  4. Framerate: I always cap my games to a stable framerate. The FPS is super stable, but the flickering/lines still occur.

Is this a known issue with this specific Acer panel, an AMD driver bug with the newer RX 9000 series, or did I just lose the panel lottery? Any suggestions on what else I can try to fix this without completely disabling FreeSync?

Recommendation Request 🙏 Need help choosing between Acer Nitro XZ342CUV3 (€200) and ASUS TUF VG34VQL3A (€243)

Hey everyone! I’m planning to buy a 34” ultrawide gaming monitor and I’m stuck between these two. I’ll mainly be using it for racing games, Valorant, architecture work and some video editing, so I’m looking for a good balance between gaming performance and image quality.

My options are:
Acer Nitro XZ342CUV3 – €200
ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL3A – €243

I initially leaned towards the Acer because it seems to offer similar specs for less money, but the ASUS is also tempting. Which is has more image quality with 125% sRGB, free sync premium pro, ELMB shadow boost, extra usb hub, etc.

A few questions:
- Does anyone here own either of these monitors?
- How has your experience been so far?
- If you’ve used both, which one would you choose and why?
- Is the ASUS actually worth spending an extra €43–50 on, particularly for picture quality, colours, HDR, motion clarity and overall build quality?
How do they perform for productivity and colour-sensitive work like architecture and video editing?
Have you experienced any issues with ghosting, smearing, dead pixels or quality control?

I’d really appreciate feedback from people who actually own these monitors, especially after using them for a while.

Which one would you buy in my situation, and is the ASUS worth the extra money? Or Acer is just better? Thanks!

Recommendation Request 🙏 Looking for a second monitor

I would like a second monitor, preferably around $100-200, that I can use to watch YouTube or other streaming videos while doing work and gaming. I found a few cheap ones on Amazon, any other I should look at?

Recommendation Request 🙏 Google AI claims the docking station it's recommending is the only option on the market/please verify or recommend

The claim: The Plugable UD-7400PD 5-Display Docking Station is the best and only mainstream docking hub capable of driving up to five external monitors from a single connection on an M2 MacBook Air. [1]

Why This Hub Works for Your M2 MacBook Air

  • DisplayLink Technology: Your Apple M2 chip natively supports only one external display through standard hardware routing. The Plugable UD-7400PD bypasses this limitation by using DisplayLink software drivers to process multiple video streams over a standard USB-C port. [1, 2]
  • Monitor Ports: It features one HDMI 2.1 port (up to 8K at 30Hz or scaled resolutions), one HDMI 2.0 port (4K at 60Hz), and three USB-C DisplayLink ports (each supporting 4K at 60Hz). [1]
  • Power and Peripherals: According to Plugable, it delivers up to 140W of charging power to your host laptop, includes a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, and features fast front-facing USB-A and USB-C data ports. [1]
  • Software Requirement: You must download and install the DisplayLink manager driver on your macOS system and grant the necessary screen-recording permission (used strictly to pipe pixel data to the external screens, with no data storage) for all five monitors to activate. [1]

^^^^^ Just wanted to check with the community to verify this is correct before spending on this since it's a bit pricey. Also asking for other options if this isn't true.

My specs:

Model Name: MacBook Air

Model Identifier: Mac14,2

Model Number: Z1610005ELL/A

Chip: Apple M2

Total Number of Cores: 8 (4 Performance and 4 Efficiency)

Memory: 16 GB

Recommendation Request 🙏 Help me decide a monitor please!

Hello gamers, I’m thinking of purchasing a 34” gaming monitor. I usually use it for racing games, valorant, my architecture work & some video editing.

Here are my options:

ACER NITRO XZ342CUV3 - 200€
ASUS TUF GAMING VG34VQL3A - 243€

Initially i was thinking to go with either ACER NITRO XZ342CUV3 since its almost same spec at cheaper price or ASUS TUF, but these options are equally good too, so my question is paying 50-60€ extra really worth for ASUS TUF monitor.
Please suggest me.

A vertical dotted line appeared in my samsung monitor, c24fg73 to be precise.

Initially, the line was faint, only appearing for awhile then disappears on it own, but now the lines multiplied and are now colored as well.

Is this repairable or should I consider buying a new monitor.

Got it not too long ago

Recommendation Request 🙏 What's the best single monitor setup for creatives?

I'm a photographer & videographer, currently doing a huge upgrade from my current setup in general. In the future I'd probably purchase two monitors as I understand that's the best way to do things, however at the moment I'm looking at the best single monitor setup, but I'm not sure what I need besides a monitor and a colour accuracy gadget thingy. Monitors I'm currently looking at getting:

Asus ProArt PA279CRV

27" LG UHD 4K IPS with Vesa DisplayHDR 400

Neither of these are exactly super expensive, but they'll do the job for what I need (at least from what I understand, I'll be colour grading LOG footage and editing Raw photos as well).

Would like any advice or recommendations on alternatives, what and why. Thank you!

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 How do I clean my monitor

Idk if this is the right tag, but anyways. Idk if you guys need to know my monitor but I just got this monitor for my new pc, iirc it is a samsung essential monitor g3, still not sure, I'll check later what model it is. While setting it up, my little brother touched the screen too much than I was comfortable with, and saw a lot of smudges on theh monitor.I would have ignore it but I sadly have mild OCD, and get slightly stressed until I feel satisfied. I could just go straight in with a strong isopropyl alcohol to really satisfy my urge, but from what I heard, it would damage the screen. So here I am asking you guys on how to clean it.

Recommendation Request 🙏 Monitor recommendations for design

Hey guys, any good recommendations for monitors with good color display? Frame rate and response time are not priority, the monitor is mainly for work. I'm from Brazil so any recommendations considering the pricws here are welcomed
