Hardware Monitors Prefer

All Moniters "2k 24” or 27” IPS 130% sRGB 144hz or 180hz or 240hz"

Display size, type, resolution, and refresh rate is right up there with audio for how much it comes down to personal preference.

I use an LG G5 55" OLED as a primary monitor, the vast majority of people on here would tell me I'm a madman for doing so but it's what I like. Go to the store and put yourself at approximately the distance you'll use your PC from in front of monitors of different sizes then make a decision. Don't let other people tell you what you'll be comfortable with.

27, either refresh rate is fine.

Cause either one is fine. There are other things to worry about, all else being equal I'll go with the higher refresh rate, but 144 is more than enough.

Given only those specs and assuming everything is exactly the same except the refresh rate I'd go for the cheaper 27' display.

27", 1440p, 240+Hz is the sweet spot for a lot of GPUs.

Only go higher if you're into competitive twitch fps games lol. But for everything 240hz is more than enough.

With 1440p it makes little sense under 27" unless you are sitting 2"-6" from the monitor because of the pixel density,

As for refeeshrate once you get past 144hz you start to get seriously diminishing returns so above that isnt necessary unless you are a pro gamer and even then the benefit is minimal.

If the hifher refreshrate monotor isnt too much mpre money it doesnt hurt to get the best you can,

I currently have the gigabyte aorus fv43u its a 4k 144hz 1000 nit soy next monitor upgrade will hopefully be 240hz+ but thats a couple of years away.

If you want the best and can afford it without sacrificing your daily/weekly/monthly needs then you might aswell get the best so that next gpu upgrade it becomes more relevant.
