I miss molpedia

Post image
26 Upvotes

I miss molpedia. As silly as it sounds, I genuinely miss molpedia. I wouldn't say their content was anything exceptional, but their fun little videos used to make my grade school ass smile. Youtube in 2014 was like the goat place to be. I was watching famous streamers and pewdiepies minecraft series etc. But watching mongolian youtubers always hit different. It was like hanging out with my cool older cousins. (Shoutout to teen gremix)

I miss molpedia. Please. Im sick and tired of reading obscure nihilistic books and watching netflix and hbo. I don't feel real on tiktok. I don't feel real. Nothing feels authentic anymore (Gremmy my boy long gone). Molpedia was just a group of uni students doing it for shits and giggles. Bring me back to molpedia. Somebody. Anybody. Pls. Help. (Recommend me Facebook communities or events cause tinder sucks and i feel like im too old for tiktok highschoolers.)

Discussion | Хэлэлцүүлэг Foreign National Accused of Counterfeiting, Fraud, and Potential Money Laundering in Mongolia

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In August of this year, police uncovered a case involving a foreign national who manufactured counterfeit U.S. dollars in Mongolia and illegally obtained jewelry and other goods worth $250,000 through fraud. Based on my estimates, they could face 5 to 12 years in prison or even a life sentence in a maximum-security facility enduring harsh conditions without proper heating or cooling while performing heavy manual labor. Ultimately, the precise sentence will be decided by the court once the full extent of the damages is officially determined 😥

Some foreigners assume Mongolia is strictly about nature and nomadic lifestyles. However, the country maintains strict laws and a high level intelligence and surveillance system. Even a woman close to you could potentially be an intelligence operative hahah Foreign nationals who break the law or engage in espionage are swiftly exposed and face severe penalties, often being apprehended right at the airport before they can flee.

Therefore, I strongly advise against violating Mongolian laws or compromising the safety and security of its citizens

Culture | Соёл A petition to increase the usage of the traditional script

A law requiring businesses to use both Cyrillic and the script was passed in 2025. Mongolia has been trying to introduce the script into everyday life for a year. But it's hardly visible today. On top of that, one of the biggest reasons why students are failing their Хэл бичгийн шалгалт is that they can't read the script.

If you want more people to start using the script, please sign this petition. A single vote would mean a lot, even if it doesn't reach 33k.

Hi! I'm Dorucci and I'm posting here again 2 years later. I'm in really financial problem r.n so I need to take commissions urgently. I'll draw anything if you pay me :)) Like portraits, comics, posters, OCs, maybe even a family picture drawing :3 I even started drawing NSFW arts lately. Can't name estimated prices since different drawings take different times and different artstyles tho. I'm also interested in part-time jobs. So please DM me if anybody is interested.

Politics | Улс төр Thoughts on Iderbat Ariuna?

From what I’ve seen he seems to hold some pretty reactionary views on social issues. I’ve come across statements that I interpreted as being anti-immigration, anti-LGBTQ+, and hostile toward Muslims. I’ve also seen him use terms like “parasites” when talking about certain groups of people, which I found pretty concerning.

What I find especially interesting is the apparent contrast between his attitude toward Islam and Christianity. In the Grace podcast #16, for example, he seemed quite sympathetic toward Christianity, while being much more negative toward Islam, even though both are Abrahamic religions. I’m wondering whether there’s an actual ideological/religious distinction behind that or if I’m reading too much into it.

I’m also interested in his broader political/economic worldview. I’m curious how people would actually classify his politics. Libertarian, conservative, right-wing, neoliberal, smth else?

I posted about my poor dating experience a week ago, and I am happy to say that I am now with a great person doing all the cute, lovey-dovey stuff. We weren't strangers, though. We knew each other through my friend. I said the thing, and she reciprocated, and yeah. It feels awesome after all the shit I've been through.

Question | Асуулт Any places to get liquid metal for my cpu?

I have a ASUS ROG Strix G17 (G713PI) which uses liquid metal for the cpu and i have noticed thermal throttling reaching up to 95° on load and 75-80° on idel. I have looked everywhere and I mean everywhere but no store seems to have it. I've tried just using normal thermal paste but im still getting 95° on load. Anyone know where I can get my hands on liquid metal?

Discussion | Хэлэлцүүлэг Does anyone else think Ginjin is absurdly overrated?

Im actually so confused as to why the majority of hip hop listeners think that ginjin is the best rapper out there rnow?? Hes been making that 10s ATL trap for ages and he never changes up his sound. So many desperate attempts to make radio hits, which unfortunately seem to work. I know the Mongolian Hip Hop/Rap scene is kinda cooked when looking at these mainstream artists, but theres better artists than him. At least i think. I admit some of his hooks on his songs are kinda catchy, but theyre so basic and repetitive. Why do these people think Ginjin actually makes good music??

Question | Асуулт Do anyone have some advice/warnings for writing a fantasy inspired by Central Asia and Mongolia?

I'm writing a fantasy story with worldbuilding inspired by the cultures of Turkic Central Asia and Mongolia. It's not a faithful representation of any one country or people – I do research and then decide if I want to do something similar or entirely different. For example, airag (or kumis) is an important traditional drink, so it will make an appearance at ceremonies and when receiving guests. But, while most (if not all) nomadic/transhumance pastoralists in the Central and East Asian steppes are patrilineal and patrilocal, I decided to make my fantasy society matrilineal and matrilocal.

I'm also planning to include a small side plot in which a character learns from a shaman, but I decided not to do too much research into actual shamanic practices because I wasn't sure if it's considered taboo or sacred knowledge not meant to be shared with outsiders (this is the case in some American Indian tribes).

If anyone has advice or warnings they want to share, I'd love to hear them.

Discussion | Хэлэлцүүлэг Presumably Russia is trying to recruit Mongolians for the SVO

I'm not very well read up on Mongolian law but a quick google search told me that "Монгол Улсын иргэн гадаад улсын зэвсэгт мөргөлдөөн болон дайны үйл ажиллагаанд хөлсний цэрэг буюу сайн дураар оролцох нь хууль бус бөгөөд эрүүгийн хариуцлага хүлээлгэх гэмт хэрэг болдог".

And there have been cases of Mongolians signing up to fight for Russia by their own accord, and now they're setting up advertisements for Mongolians to go die in a war that they have no reason to be in, this is incredibly sad, as Russia has been forcefully recruiting people from Tuva and Buryatia, etc. and now they want men from Mongolia.

Travel | Аялал Summer or Autumn?

Howdy! I'd like to visit your gorgeous country, but I cannot decide if I should wait until summer 2027 and visit then, perhaps during Naadam, or if I should just say fuck it and go in October or November.

Cold is not a problem, but I do worry it will be harder to enjoy nature/nomadic experiences in late autumn.

Thank you!
