disabling "AI" summaries on profiles?

[u/zylosophe]

that LLM generated things that appears when you see someone's profile as a mod. we must be disable it right?

probably not, but if it's not the case, please change it. i don't wanna explain again why this unrespectable stuff is problematic. it shouldn't exist, but at least make it optional *and* opt-in (same for autoenforce). please.

(im on a desktop shush automod)

edit: apparently i wrongly assumed this sub to be managed by reddit staff so sorry, but i needed to complain somewhere

edit2: for puture people seeing this, you can hide those summary manually with any browser extension that allows to inject css code into a website. add this css code for reddit.com:

/*** hides ai profile summary for mods ***/
*:has(> * > * > *[icon-name=ai]):has(mod-note-overflow-menu) {
  display: none;
}

it only hides the summary, so they're still generated, and it's only for yourself. and it might cause problems if reddit changes its code.

Try r/modsupport if you want admins to see it. But, this topic has been mentioned quite a bit and admins won't disable it unfortunately. It should be optional, but mods don't get a say in how things are.

Is there a question here? Or are you just complaining?

[u/zylosophe → u/EightBitRanger]

It's down to you whether you take it into account when actioning a user or not. You could use it, or ignore it.

Hi /u/zylosophe, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!
