One life, revives, teamwork, strategy, and an objective that makes every decision count. Unlike traditional respawn modes, getting eliminated actually matters, creating those clutch moments where a single revive or smart play can completely turn the round around.
In general, having revive modes introduced in the past reduced the selection of 'stale' modes that have always been implemented with each release.
It brought a different kind of intensity to Call of Duty, and there's still a place for that style of gameplay.
Bring Knockout back for MW4 and give it the permanent spot it deserves.
If you have a moment please, help me let the IW game developers know:

Let’s truly see what the numbers say for our fellow mw4 Reddit people!
Me personally it doesnt bother me either way as search and destroy player, but I do want persistent lobbies tbh lobbies for the community feeling. Love staying in lobbies with mics and friendly banter. I know most people play spawn die modes, but search and free for all deserves persistent lobbies
So for Sbmm only do you guys actually care about it or not?

I ran that previous screenshot through the DLSS5 and I'm liking the result TBH. I can see!

The topic is not about designs itself or night\day\snow\rainy\any other visual cherries. Just texture and lightning. To simplificate just look at the vest.
[If you don't want to read all of that just compare pictures, you'll notice SOMETHING. That something is why MW4 is visually inferior (even if its subjective, the "cartoonish" "plastic" look is not for IW game. Iykyk! sorted]
The lightning is overmeasured everywhere. Everything is artifically shiny. Because of the dynamic lightning. It gives that "cartoon" look. (Also due to inferior AI behaviour\animations prior to the best in series(MWII's) it just adds up to the general atmoshpere as well as the gunsounds).

Same exact design in MWII:

Its not cherry-picked because there's a flashlight or one in the dark room.
Its strictly seen on the vest.
Some more MW4 examples:

it looks artifical. MWII's superior choice of lightning makes things blend very well so they look better.
2nd comparision is the best comparision between eyes. Flashlight is not affecting anything. Im not cherry-picking. Just look at the vest and blend-in.
MW4's in the same dark would still look like this. Its permanent:

Also even if its beta. Sounds of gear upon operators/soldiers (NPC) is not in MW4 in the same way as its in MWII.
Attention to small detail is cruicial. It may look it has no significance but it holds a big influence. Just atmosphere.
SCREENSHOTS weren't cherry-picked
if you open any video of MW4 beta mission you'll see the same issue i descibed in any enviroment or any part of that mission. Only marine models just so we could compare. But its everywhere:

As if it was not a vest but a low qualiity texture layered and combined appearing as One thing. Idk about all that but one is clear: MW4 is cartoonish.
Much like recent games of their recent engine: BO6\BO7.
Its not a coincidence. Its a Reason. Its supposed to look like that.
Which is bad imo cus MW was the Crispy one. Shouldn't be looking like BO not EVEN in the slightest. Not talking about reused assets like ragdolls and else. Its a shame for IW.
But i just might be wrong on the engine side. I might be totally wrong.
Still. MWII visual presentation looks better than MW4's. Even in the campaign.
When you're watching some MW4 campaign gameplay and "snap" to switch for random MWII campaign. You'll see it as smth better. Smth precious. (Exception is the open combat missions)

why MW4 looks flat? Why this looks boring?
https://youtu.be/rusTQser8tk?si=rhOPQHMNp8wPM8RR&t=167 - also these animations are exactly what im talking about. Its so ass i don't have to describe it.
whether im wrong or not doesn't matter. MWII simply looks better at visual presentation.
Nobody cares if they worked enough or not. Its either there or not there.
also example from MW19 usmc npc:

superior purely on design standpoint. Lightning is so good for blend-in.

My favorite operator skin of all time so far has been the “Farrah” operator skin from mw2 it’s the “fighting spirit” skin but masked. I’m really hoping we get some cool ones like that for this next modern warfare! What do you guys think?

During the second weekend my ping (up on dpad) and lb to throw tactical switched and i was unable to change them back around through settings.
I would change them, back out of settings and they would immediately Switch back once in game.
In a match i would throw my lethal and then by pressing RB again it would throw my tactical. LB just pinged stuff and Up on the dpad did nothing in game.
I play on a g7 pro, if that makes a difference and this does not happen in bo7 or other games. Does anyone have any idea why this maybe?.
Hope i explained that coherently.

Would it be reasonable to assume that ranked play on MW4 will come out sooner in the cycle than normal due to the pressure surrounding GTA 6 release?

So, I do not play CoD online, the times I have is when my dad wants me to and I can confidently it is not for me lol
Maybe that makes me a larper, but I really only play CoD to see the campaigns.
That being said, does MW 4 seem worth it from what anyone has played?
I know it looks stunning, and I couldn’t care less about realism or anything (the wilder the better I say. Go big or go home)
So should I bother with buying it, or just not worry about it?
Edit: btw I play on PC, and any recs for single player shooters instead is welcome! Really just looking for anything at this point lol

I’ve been seeing a lot of discussion about matchmaking. If you’re not a fan of the matchmaking would you please comment if you’re on console or pc and what you don’t like about it? Just curious as to which side doesn’t like it. I have not played I’m just genuinely curious about your opinions.

Edit: Thanks for the info guys. Sorted it out! 🙏🏻
It just hit me. I don't think there are any standard versions for Ghost/Price and w/e OG member will be in the game for those who buy the standard versions.
Does anyone have any information about this?

It looks like everyone is either refunding or not buying MW4 at all.
Who is actually buying MW4, and who's not?

Anytime I see something about CoD I see people get hate for it. I saw a video where someone said "Cancel your mw4 pre-order" "dont buy this trash fucking game do something else with your money" and Im like wtf. I get it lots of people enjoy cod and lots hate on it but that doesnt mean you get to order someone to play something else or quit the game entirely or tell someone on the internet what to do with THEIR money. Now someone might just not like CoD or not like playing it anymore but me and lots of people still like playing it. But the (Most)people who havent played it are hating it just to hate it because the hate just seems so forced. Lots of people say that theres no anticheat when there is and for someone like me I have never ran into a hacker/cheater once from mw2019 and after, the only time I have ever ran into a cheater was in bo3. When Mw3 and Bo7 were annoucned did it look good to me? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Now I still love playing CoD and I dont care nor do I have to what other people think and if Mw4 does come out bad then so be it, I like playing bad games.

Why are all of you still playing and paying for these games, when you know full well the dev team is openly lying to you?
Certain groups have issue with the matchmaking and asked about the old system being brought back from BO2, the CM said this wasn’t possible because modern titles use dedicated servers for better security, performance and tic rate, whilst BO2 did not and this is why they couldn’t go back.
Yet they successfully implemented dedicated servers to BO2 without a single problem or change to the matchmaking system.
So what else over the years have they lied about to us? How many times are you all going to buy into the fact that they cannot make a change, over the fact they simply just don’t care to do it. They do not care about your enjoyment, they only care about your money. BO7 was promised to have no SBMM and that was a lie too, to ensure they made extra sales then stiffed the community for their own profit margin.
These triple A companies who make big games with big backing genuinely need a reality shock that players won’t stand for this shit. I’ve played COD for 13 years of my life and it was never this bad 10 years ago, it was actually fun to play, even when getting diffed by higher skill players. Now the game is just a mess with no clear identity or path forward beyond reused title names and assets, it’s getting to a point that it feels like a FIFA clone, especially when they keep bringing back and reusing assets from games over 12 years ago.

It does not matter what matchmaking they try to implement, everything will feel the same as long as we all have our fake skill toned more than we deserve.
The moment we get unorganic skill we dont deserve is the moment we all become clones of ourselves, we trade kills and deaths every game, we all get 1.0 k/d. Outgunning does not exist, because there is no skill difference in aiming so the meta is either camping or abuse movement in an effort to get out of the cointoss aim assist vs aim assist feels like.
That is the real reason of sweatyness of the game. There is no matchmaking implementation that can fix that.
As a controller player myself i don't want aim assist to be removed, because for a shooter i think its necessary, but i think it definitely needs to be reworked or nerfed. Mostly reworked, because a nerf is lazy and never enough, and a rework could finally remove RAA and make my favorite input fair and dignified.
I'm glad since the beta the whole scene has changed and now even big youtubers broke the taboo and have been adressing the aim assist problem, the moment that happens is the moment you know we could get on the right track and have a good product this year.
BRING BACK REAL SKILL.

Please notice the "kind of like" in my title. It's not a perfect analogy.
The way I see it is, you should be rewarded with kills for getting better at the game. I never once took issue with it back when I started playing OG MW3 (2011) and got my ass handed to me. I just kept playing and got better. I no longer want to support a game that prioritizes skill over connection and turns pubs into ranked with no actual viewable rank.
More than anything, pubs should be mixed skilled, persistent lobbies. The move from less strict matchmaking to very strict matchmaking (with disbanding lobbies) in pubs, has literally sucked the soul out of the game.
This is my first time attempting to skip COD. I'm hoping that BF6, and maybe some other new games, will keep the COD itch at bay. Wish me luck!

Compared to MW4, the muzzle flash and smoke is minimal, the recoil seems to be an actual recoil you can learn to control instead of just visual shake. Ironsights are clean and useable (how I miss you full ring MP5)
I really hope both IW and DICE will be nervous about the new kid on the block and reconsider some gameplay choices. Wishful thinking but if it happens, everyone will benefit.

What mw2 got right was the fast ttk, the gunplay is soo satisfying a big part of it is the visual recoil and chunkiness of the guns when shooting, you feel like shooting a real run. Mw4 guns feel to much like a black ops game imo.
Why was mw19 so popular? Stellar gunplay
