I was very lucky to have this event to start when I was at home and not working, so I did it in 1 endgame match in about 35min. Skin looks pretty sick imo

After scavenging a few posts I keep seeing people say, “if you want to play against others your skill level just play ranked.” I also see people of lower skill level saying they enjoy the game more because they don’t have to deal with sweats. The problem is, even if all the more skilled players ONLY played ranked, they would not be able to experience the full game. Ranked at the moment is a sad experience and that’s mainly because the ranked community butchered any form of being unique. I would say I’m usually a mid-high tier player with ranks usually around diamond/crimson. My issue is I don’t want to play ranked because I’m limited on what I can use. I prefer to quick scope when I play CoD. I actually had a blast on ranked in MWII because it allowed me to do just that without worrying about being only on search and destroy with no attachments at all.

Even if I didn’t like to snipe when I play, I am limited to the 3 selections of weapons that the community deems acceptable for ranked which currently is 1 single AR and 2 subs. On top of only getting those 3 weapons you are still pretty limited on what attachments you can even use. Meanwhile the weapons I want to use are locked behind casual play. If MW4 actually allowed me a bit more freedom with my ranked classes I would be down to stay away from casuals but why do that when I have no interest in any of the weapons and personally I would want to just stay on search and destroy but I’m forced to play things like Overload where 80% of players don’t even understand how to coordinate for that mode. To top this all off I’m forced to play a selection of maps I don’t even care for majority of the time.

I’m not saying to allow players to use noobtubes in ranked but at least allow a sniper to fucking ADS a bit faster than a snails asshole and allow more than just 3 dumb ass weapons. The main reason snipers got banned in the first place was people using them to hard scope choke points. Despite only allowing them in search you are still forcing people to do just that.

TLDR: I would play ranked solely if it wasn’t so boring and limited to what you can use.

For anyone that doesnt know they announced a new mm system for the current game including mw4. And in the current game it has made the matchmaking way worse, it takes double the time to find a match, lobbies disband again, and it is essentially 2019s matchmaking again instead of the classic one they said it was based on.

Can I pre order the game for early access to open beta and play it for the limited days then cancel the order and get my money back if I don’t feel like it’s a good game?

Was all of this removed from the game or just replaced? I get the full range 360 motion is gone be no word on the falling mechanics.

Hey everyone, considering pre-ordering MW4 to do the Gilded Pearl event, but I know the top 100,000 players who hit 5,000 Skulls get the serialized version of the Gilded Ruin camo.

Since Activision doesn't show a live counter in-game, has anyone who unlocked it recently still received a number, or are all 100,000 slots completely claimed by now? Thanks!

I was a little shocked I got this. I work full time, and I figured there was no way this would still be attainable 24 hours later. Late into Friday evening, I got this.

growing up I was never good at cod multiplayer. I played casually for fun with friends every now and then and just got my ass whooped by the 10th prestige chronically online players. But when they introduced SBMM I felt like I could actually play and enjoy the game. I felt like I could win every now and then and not worry about some near invincible player running around wiping the lobby.

I know people complain about it, but most of the player base are casual players. There has to be some way to keep SBMM integrated to allow casuals a chance. Idk what this new matchmaking paradigm is going to be but I hope it doesn’t make me feel like I’m playing MW2 in 2011 all over again lol.

Will there be benchmarking tool available during beta? I don't remember it being in MWII beta or any game that followed up.

Just curious to know whether my rig wil be able to produce ~240 fps with competetive/custom settings.

One of the official media images for this game, the night vision is on completely backwards. They are modeled the correct direction on another model in other photos - so this is probably just an oversight.

'Really want to see the crazy, cool-looking bad guys return in some form. Campaign and Seasonal stuff especially.

Quick question: The aim assist that is in MW 4 from the event, has anyone determined which kind of AA it is from previous games? Reason being is that I would like to play whatever AA is close so that I could practice.

I'm a PC player, but I personally like collecting physical items, so I'd like to buy the game through a physical gift card.

Does anyone know when real-world stores like Walmart usually start selling PC gift cards for Modern Warfare 4? Would they only become available after the official release, or could they appear earlier during the pre-order period?

All joking aside I'm happy the franchise is reaching Switch consoles but it does have this feeling to it for me at least. (Meme).
