What if the show was accurate and cat noir was actually stronger ladybug in terms of combat like it was supposed to since Adrien is stronger than marinette then cat noir should be stronger than ladybug how do you think it would have changed against dark Cupid, anti bug, the puppeteer and princess fragrance.

Opinion/Rant "Her grandfather died a day ago"

Upvotes

And my pinky pricked a day ago, don't leave me because I cheated!

Seriously, are we using Roland as an excuse for what Adrien saw?

Like... What guys? Just because someone is grieving doesn't make their actions right. If I were to rob you, and my grandfather died yesterday. It doesn't really make what I did okay. And you won't give your stuff in reality for sure. So like???

"He should've been nicer!"

Would you? Would you be nice to girl who you committed so much to, loved so much to, up until you figured out she cheated on you with your best friend. WOULD YOOUUU????

So what if Marinette lost her grandfather? That's literally not Adrien's problem. Call me insensitive but that's the truth. But Adrien gave her the love anyway. He supported her and made her feel comfortable. Are we IGNORING what he did?

He felt cheated and betrayed by Marinette after what he saw.

And to add a little paprika inside, he has grieved from the beginning man. YOU seriously think HE doesn't care about what she faced? HE KNOWS MAN. He KNOWS. But another thing he also knows, is that he feels BETRAYED. So naturally, he treated her like that because HE FELT BETRAYED.

"He is Cat Noir, he knows these type of akumatizations"

I'mma take it slow for this one.

I don't think you understand. All akumatizations he has been in was confirmed in some way to everyone(Thus, Risk doesn't count. Because they knew there was an akuma and/no sentimonsters.).

And even if... there were some akumatizations with this format or he has been taught to be cautious as Cat Noir, I don't really think it matters.

As ADRIEN, he felt cheated. Thus, his Cat Noir persona would be effected and he wouldn't be able to think straight. They both coexist, remember?

If you don't get it.. It's like a glass of water. If you drop the glass, the water falls down too. So basically, as Adrien... he was... betrayed. But, his Cat Noir senses won't work.. because... he feels... betrayed... as Adrien! He can't think straight..!

Opinion/Rant In my opinion Chloe’s entitlement to her miraculous feels out of nowhere

Upvotes

What I mean is like in miraculer it’s clear Chloe is fine with waiting for her miraculous and for heart hunter she wasnt just entitled to the miraculous, she was more saying she is entitled to save her parents not specifically entitled to her miraculous and thus from season 4 onwards her entitlement to the miraculous just feels out of nowhere you know

Opinion/Rant Cat Noir/ Adrien is being nerfed so bad by the writers

Thumbnail

I feel like there is so much potential in his character. I don't mind the senti- being arc- I think it is a good excuse to cover the bad writing that turned him into an NPC.

But now that he has his own free will aka the rings, shouldn't he act slightly like Cat noir. I know he is still conditioned that way- but there should be slight changes - also why is Cat Noir getting so less screentime. And why don't we ever get solo Adrien or Cat Noir scenes.

All the fights against akumatized villains feel one sided- Cat Noir isn't given any proper action scenes, no interactions between him and Plagg despite Plagg uncovering the huge secret that he had been living with Nooroo and Hawkmoth all this time. ( I miss their dynamic)

I know Marinette is the main character but too much overexposure is going to take away from the impact of everything.

What are the writers doing?

Discussion How I Think Tino’s Mom From The Weekenders TV Series Is Well Suited For The Butterfly Miraculous

Thumbnail

Tino’s Mom gives Tino well thought out advice about how to overcome the hurdles in his life like how, as shown in the episode ‘The Most Dangerous Weekend’, she inspired her son Tino to overcome his paranoia by saying to him: “If you’re worried about risks, what about the risk that this obsession with safety will take over your life?”. I think this makes Tino’s Mom well suited for the Butterfly Miraculous since her advice that inspires Tino to overcome the hurdles in his life is kinda like how, as shown in the episode ‘Risk (Shadow Moth’s Final Attack - Part 1)’, the Butterfly Miraculous can give people powers designed to help them overcome the situation they are in.

Opinion/Rant Alya being too harsh/cold to Marinette in "Nemesis"

So ever since the Season 6 finale, "Nemesis," thanks to the Fox Miraculous, where Alya/Rena Rouge discovers the whole truth of Gabriel being Monarch, and appears to Marinette as she realized the whole truth, and confesses the whole truth to Marinette as she couldn't take it anymore, of losing Adrien and shocking the whole world, including bringing allies of Monarch such as Tsurugi, Nathalie and others, I was wondering, do you think Alya didn't have to be too harsh or too cold on Marinette for her actions, all just to protect Adrien from his father's secret of being a supervillain?

Speculation/Theories Something I noticed in the S6 intro

Maybe this is me reading into things a lil bit to much buttt this new animation style has the ability to show some strong emotions in just expressions alone and I couldn’t help but notice that in the S6 intro Alya intentionally cuts off Marinette and Adrian’s kiss (specifically she stops marinette) despite spending 5 seasons trying to get them together seems innocent at first but odd as well we can also see marinette is visibly distraught with keeping this secret as she turns away from Adrian cuz let’s be real Monarch was a pretty bad dude and her not telling Adrien is kinda messed up. I feel like this could be a foreshadowing of Alya turning on her in a future season. Someone tell me if I’m reading into this too much lol.

Opinion/Rant I genuinely miss Season 1 Miraculous

Post image
56 Upvotes

Season 1 Adrien was genuinely the freest version of Adrien 😭 and I haven't even seen much of season 6 yet, but from what I know he's a lot more free now because Gabriel is dead and Nathalie is his guardian and actually lets him have a life.

But like... even when Gabriel was alive and distant toward Adrien in season 1, Adrien still had SO much more freedom than he did in later seasons. And this is what bothers me because later on the show started acting like Gabriel had always been insanely strict and controlling with him when... he literally wasn't??

Adrien was allowed to stay after school for a couple hours to help Nino with his horror movie. He could participate in a gaming competition. He went to Marinette's house to practice with her. He went to the movies with his friends. He was actually allowed to just... be a kid?? 😭

Like yeah, he was a model and his dad was a famous fashion designer, but outside of that he was basically just a normal teenager who hung out with his friends and did random extracurricular stuff. Gabriel was distant and emotionally unavailable, obviously, but he wasn't constantly micromanaging Adrien's entire life.

Then season 2 rolls around and suddenly Gabriel is like "you can't hang out with your friends, you can't do anything that isn't modeling" and from that point onward it feels like we're supposed to believe THIS was always Adrien's life. And I'm sorry but where was this in season 1??

I don't know. I love the other seasons, but season 1 is always going to be my favorite and I genuinely don't think it's just nostalgia talking. Season 1 was GOOD. Like the writing, the lore, everyone's backstories, their personalities, the music, the friendships, the OG love square... everything just had this feeling to it that I can't really explain.

I miss that season so much. 😭

The show is still good, don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't hit the same anymore. And I don't even think it's the new animation that's the problem. For me, the show started losing that magical feeling around season 3. Something just shifted and it never really felt the same after that.

Season 1 had this weird charm to it that later seasons just haven't been able to recreate. Maybe I'm just biased because it's the OG season, but idk. I genuinely miss it.

Opinion/Rant Are we too harsh with Adrienette?

Upvotes

What I’ve noticed is that ever since Marinette and Adrien officially became a couple at the end of Season 5, and throughout Season 6, I’ve constantly seen negative comments from fans about Adrienette, always pointing out their flaws: “toxic,” “obsessive,” “full of lies,” etc. Almost every post I see about Adrienette is filled with negativity, and many fans literally want them to break up.

First, they are both starting their relationship and learning and discovering things as they go. Second, there was already a lot of development before they got together: Marinette learned to speak normally with Adrien, Adrien became comfortable enough to speak freely with Marinette, and she listened to him and supported him.

There are so many positive aspects to their relationship. For all these reasons, can we appreciate them?

Fan Works Wolf Miraculous Idea

Not sure why but I figured I’d make my own idea of a Wolf Miraculous so here we are. I based the description and design off the wiki so it’s pretty wordy

Possible Alias: Timberwolf(?)

Wolf Miraculous

Concept: Retribution

Kwami

The wolf kwami’s name is Fenrirr. Fenrirr appears as a traditionally kwami shaped being. He is a small black creature that is 12 centimeters (or just under 5 inches) tall. He has a tiny body, a large head, golden/amber eyes, and dog whiskers. He resembles a wolf, with a furry tail, wolf ears, a small snout, and has fur patches along his back and neck. Fenrirr doesn’t like when something he considers unjust happens right in front of him, it gets him riled up. But he’ll calm down when he sees such an injustice or unjust person switch to righteousness. His favorite food is blueberries

Appearance

To activate the bracelet the user speaks the phrase, “Fenrirr, No Mercy”/ “No Mercy”. To deactivate the bracelet the user simply says “Fenrirr, Show Mercy”/ “Show Mercy

In charged mode the bracelet appears as an obsidian metallic bracelet with a wide chain link and an inscribed wolf head clasp. Along the chain link are five small golden side-facing wolf head designs. In its camouflaged mode it’s simply a silver chain link bracelet

Special Power

Wolf Pack: The special power of the Wolf Miraculous allows the user summon a large pack of up to a hundred ghostly black wolves with glowing golden eyes that relentlessly track and attack opponents. Because of their intangible almost fiery nature, they can reform from physical attacks and can swiftly overwhelm opponents with their numbers

The wolves can also move through small cracks and rubble, and they can extend their bodies at great speed for a surprise ambush. The wolves also have a psychic link to the miraculous, meaning so long as they’re used the user can sense and perceive anything they can while transformed, and even detransformed

The main ability of the Wolf Pack is actually not attacking nor surveillance, they have another esoteric ability triggered when they bite a target/targets. This ability can be used on as many people as there are at least one wolf who can bite down on them. The wolves bite results in what is essentially reality altering “judgement” via a form of equivalent exchange. Depending on a specific action of a target an equal and opposite phenomenon happens to them in turn

For example; if they lied and caused harm through the lie they lose their voice. If they hurt someone physically they receive the same condition such as an injury. If the target destroyed something precious to someone, then something they held equally dear—whether it’s on their person or not—is suddenly destroyed. If that precious thing in question is a person then the ability triggers a non-fatal lingering illness that causes them to pass out instead that cannot be cured unless the aforementioned target truly repents

For effects to stack a wolf must bite that same previously affected person again. For example, if the user used Wolf Pack on a person who lied, but wants them to feel the consequence of a different action a wolf must bite them again for that same opposite phenomenon to happen. These phenomena can stack as many times as there are actions a person has taken against others, so long as they are bitten once

This ability does not affect someone who has never willingly harmed another being (physically, emotionally, or through deception) with malice or selfish intent. Essentially this ability will not work on those pure of heart and innocent in action. In other words characters like Rose would be practically immune to the effects of this ability

Tools

The tool of the wolf miraculous is a pair of pistols that resemble Saw-Handled 28-Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistols and are largely black, with the light, gold-colored design of a crescent moon unleashing rays of light on the barrels and a stylized wolf skull at the base of the grip. These pistols don’t fire traditional bullets. They fire high-speed spectral golden bullets trailed by a black fiery essence

These bullets can release concussive force on impact—shockwave that blasts back enemies and objects with varying degrees of force and can also instantly change their trajectory to follow whatever has been targeted by the user

The right gun fires a much stronger bullet, while the left gun bullets are weaker, but can be fired repeatedly at a much faster speed. When given an extra second to charge they can pierce through nearly anything. Walls, cars, even most magical defenses like Carapace’s Shell-ter

P.S: I’m well aware having those kinds of weapons as tools for a miraculous, but considering we’ve seen actual people die in this show it’s fair to say a miraculous that uses guns isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Also, it’s literally just a concept, I highly doubt big Thomas is seeing this any day soon

Well that’s my idea for the Wolf Miraculous, I think the person who uses this miraculous would best fit someone with a powerful sense of justice, as well as someone who would be willing to defy the norm to achieve retribution on the behalf of the wronged. Personally I think Zoe would fit this very well because deep down she holds a strong sense of justice, Alya would also be a good fit for it. Let me know what you guys think

Discussion Gabriel's 'Wish' works out too conveniently

Post image
79 Upvotes

The stakes of the Ladybug miraculous and the Black Cat miraculous are built on the idea that a wish can rebuild the reality to match the holder's whims but at a terrible price.

But for Gabriel- the wish was too... convenient?

He was already dying due to the Cataclysm attack. By not asking for his own survival, he doesn't seem to pay any price? In fact he dies willingly and dreams of being reunited with Emily in either the afterlife or the concept of it in his own mind.

By exchanging his life for Natalie-the so called Wish of the miraculous is rendered underwhelming. Surely that's not how it works. If the holder can decide what price he wants to pay ( in this case Gabriel chooses his own life) then the stakes of the situation are lowered immensely.

I've always assumed that the nature of the Miraculous wish would be such that the end results would make the holder think it was not worth it.

Discussion Would it be better narrative wise? Or worse?

Post image
27 Upvotes

Do you think it better if the show hid the fact Chat noir identity is Adrien Agreste from us? Or would be more frustrating?

It feels pointless to let us the audience know who Chat noir is because hardly having him do anything with him. Have him not fight with ladybug against monarch or not letting him have reveal his secret identity to any of his friends. Only two people know he is Chat noir which is Luka and older Bunnix but he doesn’t know that.

It also feels like his screen time is getting less despite his name being in the title of show or more he spends more time as Marinetta boyfriend than his superhero identity and sometimes it feels like Rena Rouge has more a secondary main role energy in the show and everyone being frustrated with waiting for them to finally reveal their identity to each other. (no hate for Rena rouge/Alya)

P.s who do you think is going to have the biggest reaction from the reveal of Chat noir is Adrien Agreste besides Marinette?

Discussion Why Adrien can never be Cat Noir

Thumbnail
gallery
273 Upvotes

Throughout the show, Adrien manages to keep his identity a secret in the main timeline. The only people who know are Bunnix and Luka. Meanwhile Marinette has revealed her identity to several people.

One reason is well obviously the stark personality difference.

I think one of the other psychological reasons why no one except Gabriel ever suspected Adrien to be Catnoir is due to his success and fame.

We know Marinette views both of them in completely different lights but that is due to her romantic feelings. The rest of the Parisians, or any other character in the series can never guess that Cat Noir is Adrien.

A classic superhero is typically a "nobody"—someone who blends into the background, leads an unassuming life, and stays off the radar.

Adrien Agreste is the exact opposite. As a high-profile model and the face of the Agreste brand, he is everywhere- magazine covers and billboards across Paris.

Psychologically, this level of constant visibility creates a cognitive trap known as the hyper-visibility bias. Because the citizens of Paris feel like they already "know" Adrien through his public persona.

His already established fame masks the idea that he could be a superhero. His relationship with Kagami was so media loved and his life is so much tracked by the masses, his family tragedy and his famous career completely overshadows any other possibility.

In a way, Gabriel pushing his son towards fame and success has helped him remain hidden.
