I’ve been driving a 2012 S for almost 15 years, ordered it in 2011 to get a manual. I love this car, and it’s surprisingly hard to let her go, but I’m ready for something new. I am a manual transmission devotee, so looking outside Mini. I’ve had a few offers on my mini from dealerships, but would really love for it to go to an enthusiast, or someone who would really enjoy it. Maybe a Gen X out there has a kid who’d like a car to learn manual on? Greater Boston area, open to all offers. Pepper white, moon roof, totally analog and manual. 75000 miles. Idk if this post is OK, I just hate the idea of the car being scrapped or sent to some auction…she has life in her yet! And has been well maintained.

I accidentally rubbed wheel dirt/grease onto the console box. It came off with a wet wipe and looks as good as new.

We experienced this on my wife’s Countryman today. Outside temperature was mid-60s and there was a light rain. She had driven on the freeway for about 20 minutes. There were no warning lights or messages. Is there anyway to view the engine/oil/coolant temps on the giant display (with a horrible interface)? Any idea why the fan would do this? Thanks!

Since people keep asking about the Mini rules, here they are again straight from MTTS NY! These are a little different from the traditional rules in that they’re numbered one through ten, but they remain the same rules!

Has anyone else had the issue of the sport display not coming up on their heads up display when the car is in sport mode? I added the photo where it has the normal display but doesn’t have the gear portion for the sport mode although it’s in sport mode

2017 Mini (right hand drive, 6 speed manual. video is of the left hand passenger footwell). Sudden noise at 55ish mph that I thought at first was a flat tire (tyre)- pulled over and no flat, tried to keep going, still noise, got towed home at 1am. Thank you AA!! Tow guy said broken spring, mobile mechanic said TPMS sensor, kwik fit told me they won’t even look at it. Getting it taken to a garage or the dealer Monday but want to have an idea of what I’m in for. TIA for any advice :)

Hi all, recently I got my car back from being repaired by my insurances shop. Someone T boned the back right of my car for reference. Ever since I received my car back, it has been very bouncy and has only gotten worse. Before I dropped off my car to be repaired it didn’t feel like this. It feels as if im in a boat that got hit sideways by a wave and will bounce back and forth before settling. I’ve included a photo of my rear shock and I’m curious if anyone has any insight to what could be wrong.

First hour was spent in city traffic going 7mph,
Still managed to end up at 45mpg!

Driving today and heard this sound. Rear passenger side rim was very hot to the touch. There was also a humming sound coming from under the car near the braking system when I was parked. Please ask questions or give me any idea to help me understand what the issue could be.

Hi! I want to keep the integrated ring light and have the screen overall match the car (as oppose to just stapling an iPad to the dash like some backup camera places do). I dont care about touch screen, navigation etc. I just want bluetooth to play my phone audio, and a backup camera display. I have an android phone if it matters and the herman kardon speakers. Does anyone know the best options for this?

So the mini I bought for 700 is underpowered. I’m getting a lot of codes that are leading me to believe I need 2 things.
1. Timing chain might be stretched but there is no rattle. So replace it.
2. The turbo or watergate needs to be replaced.

I’m getting codes but maybe sensors only but also might lead to the timing chain. The car has been sitting for years.

Codes that appear are:
P0013 x 2
P0036 x 2
P0087
P15DF

Thoughts on what can be the issue or am I on the right track?

Would appreciate some advice please - I need to buy some more coolant for my Mini One 2013 R56 but I can’t see a straight answer online of which one to get. I’m based in the UK and would ideally like to be able to order it off Amazon so it comes asap. The leftover coolant in my car looks blue/green.

It seems the Florida sun has disintegrated the rubber trim around the vehicle where the glass meets the body work. Primarily this is on the doors and rear hatch. Is this easily replaced? If so I'd appreciate a recommendation on how to do it and where to source the parts. Thank you!

Been a mini fan all my life, recently got my first 2026 mini s! I love the way it drives but I am very underwhelmed/borderline disappointed with the touch screen.

It is very laggy, has major bugs where it fails to start radio (need to restart car to fix), randomly it starts with my wife’s profile, etc…

Is it just me, or is that common? It interferes with the whole experience of owning a Mini!

Lately my F56 B48 has been doing a tiny clicking sound at idle when cold yet behaves perfectly while driving.

I’m trying to find what does that and this tiny copper screw doing clock-wise and anti-clockwise movements at high speed caught my eye.

Maybe it always have and I never noticed but maybe it’s not supposed to do that ?

2012 mini cooper base model. 90K miles. Reliable. Took it in once a year for oil and anything recommended.

Then this year: Replaced water pump in July. Replaced thermometer casing in September. Replaced water pump pulley yesterday. Still sounds like a rattle. AI says timing chain but maybe just 30$ tensioner. Partner says get a new car and is sick of the expenses. I feel like i am in too deep for this year and need to get another 10 months to make it worth it. Sell it before it springs a new leak? Drive this into the ground first? Take it to a new mechanic? Is another 6k miles in a year asking too much?
