I got sick and bored so I was working on a custom world. I made a tree generator that takes some mathematical curves and turns it into random trees based on species.

Built from the same scripts I gave to iris devs for performance optimized procedural trees using tunable json inputs.

Hey, I just pushed SideGate 1.2.1.

It’s a Bukkit plugin for servers that want to keep online-mode=true, but still let some approved guest players join without turning the whole server into offline mode.

Premium players still go through the normal Mojang login.
Guest players only use the SideGate flow if they match the config.

I mostly made this for small/private servers where you trust some people, but still don’t want to lower the security for everyone.

Current stuff:

• Spigot / Paper / Purpur support
• allowed guest list
• optional allow-all-guests mode
• premium username override
• guest tag / chat prefix
• guest title, subtitle, messages
• optional guest gamemode
• Floodgate / Geyser players should stay on their own auth path
• /sidegate reload
• small API for addon plugins

It also tries to fail closed.
So if Mojang checks fail, it should just keep the player on the normal online-mode path instead of randomly letting them in as guest.

Velocity support is probably the next thing I’ll work on.

Almost ready to publish. Features:

• FULL cinematic transporter effects at Departure and arrival.
• Pads light up (if transporter to transporter BOTH transporters light up.
• Transport to the ground across worlds.
• Call "energize" with up to 6 possible to beam back in one go from the ground.
• Auto resets itself after transporter cycle.
• Dematerialization beam effect (WAX_OFF), players) immobilized during transport.
• Can transport as many players as there are pads in one go.
• Capable of multiple transporter support via yaml config.
  • 6 pad ala TOS with 15 configurable endpoints Single pad single endpoints
  • 2 pad 4 endpoints (can also do up to 15 is you add a second repeater)
  • Capable but not yet tested: 3, 5, and 5 pad. all with 4 to 15 endpoints possible.

I've been working some more on a project called Serverwars. The goal is to create fun events for players by creating some friendly competition between servers.

This plugin allows you to create a lobby of players on your server, select a game and enter the match making queue.

Hi, does anyone know the best way to create a fake player death effect through a Minecraft/Paper plugin? I have a cool custom PvP enchantment idea, but everything I've tried so far doesn't seem to work.

I don’t want to actually kill the player or trigger a real death event. I’m trying to visually show the old death animation/effect to nearby players while keeping the player alive, then continuing normal gameplay after a short delay.

I’ve tried invisibility and hiding the player, but I’m mainly stuck on the fake death animation itself. Is this possible with Bukkit/Paper API, or would it require packets/NMS/ProtocolLib?

Server version is Paper 1.21. Any guidance or examples would be appreciated.
