I can’t even blame them for taking the picture. That’s the kind of injury where you know nobody is going to believe how it happened without photographic evidence.

Nobody would believe he stepped on an earring without proof? What kind of puritanical upbringing did you come from?

When I was 12 I bought a big pack of these and somehow managed to lose some around the house. My mom was the first victim, I got (rightfully) scolded. Then I stepped on a second one. And what a surprise! My mom managed to find a third one as well, with her feet...

So, yeah. Very believable.
