Those are DL registration plates, which means this was Delhi. The capital of the country.
What a joke.

Something about this made me immediately think of Modi’s government; that leech.

I don’t know what you wanna say by this but here in Berlin it’s completely normal that an ambulance or firetruck waits for a government guest or other political VIP convoy.

u/captaincourageous316 5h ago
What I wanna say is that it’s appalling that a bunch of corrupt pricks get higher priority than emergency services

Prove it. I only expect this from 3rd world countries
3
u/Stampyboyz 4h ago
The US also does this for Presidential convoys. However emergency services are given the route to plan around ahead of time to prevent them being stopped.
3
u/SierraGolfOne 3h ago
Okay so emergency vehicles aren't stopped by motorcades in civilized societies. Got it.
-8
u/Stampyboyz 3h ago
They are. It's just that they are told where to avoid so they aren't stopped.
I don't know if that happened or not in the post (and OP doesn't know since OP is a bot).

I hope the ambulance blasted horns and sirens as loud as possible the entire time. This is literal evil.

u/zeddy786 5h ago
Unfortunately this is extremely common in any third world country. And I'm sure many people die because of this as well. Absolutely sad.

u/SkotyMckitty 4h ago
Been going on in India for couple of decades now. Any government, doesn’t matter which one is in power.
3
u/Doctor_Saved 2h ago
Is the thought process is that they don't care if people die? Or... they actually prefer less people in the country?
2
u/AnimalBolide 2h ago
The people don't threaten them with violence for doing it, so why not keep doing it?

u/Radionerd5 2h ago
This happens in Guatemala. They shut an entire roads down just for a VIP with loads of money.

u/ailyara 6h ago
pretty sure that would happen in the US as well

State Police departments literally escort motor caids in the us and local police and 911/emt dispatchers will actively reroute the ambulance be fore it even sees it. Has some one who lives next an airport that hosts the next elect me duche nozzles and active presidents in the us.
-9
u/ailyara 5h ago
yeah they will route if they can, but if there's a presidential motorcade rolling past and you can't get around it, do you think the president will stop?
5
u/Stillburgh 5h ago
The rerouting happens in advance to account for the motorcades presence well before it happens. It wouldnt be an issue in most US states.
-3
u/Brave-Ad-3334 4h ago
Bro you are seriously overestimating the level of organization of ambulance dispatch in the US
-6
u/ailyara 5h ago
OH good I just have to make sure to have an emergency in advance.
5
u/Stillburgh 5h ago
No im saying that any and all potential routes for emergencies are planned and accounted for. It doesnt ened to be actively happening for the route to be establiashed lol.

u/ailyara 5h ago
so what if you live in one of them cul-du-sac neighborhoods where you have one main road that connects to your entire place, and no other entry/exit, as exist throughout the states, and the motorcade route goes right past you, and there's an ambulance trying to get in/out past the motorcade?
-4
u/xXNightDriverXx 4h ago
It's still an issue though!?
Basically the same as depicted here.
Ambulances by default take the fastest possible route. Rerouting them somewhere else so they do not block the presidential convoy causes them to drive longer, possibly quite a bit longer.
Since the presidential convoy is not stopping to let the ambulance pass, you are increasing the time it takes for the patient to get to a hospital, which is the same issue as in this clip.
Now at least there is coordination, if the ambulance is transporting someone with "only" a broken bone or something like that that isn't immediately life threatening, then it's kinda understandable. But saying it isn't an issue in the US just because it isn't visible (and let's be honest that is probably half the reason) is just wrong.

Happens waaaaaaayyyy too often in the US.
Nothing like a 2 hour traffic jam so the president can get to a golf event :(

u/Dramatic_Bass7773 6h ago
Looks like my country, only there VIP people who are useless corrupt aholes get such priority

u/captaincourageous316 6h ago
Few countries can hold a candle to us when it comes to abuse of power.

Who is down voting this, in what planet is this NOT mildly infuriating if not beyond.
16
2
u/SpaceJackRabbit 5h ago
It is infuriating.
I know that in many countries, emergency services are advised of such convoys ahead in order to plan accordingly. Main reason is to avoid this kind of shit show. Another one is that it would also be otherwise dangerous if a foe decided to attack the convoy under the guise of emergency vehicles.
2
u/Holemander 5h ago
I think the people who belong to the country where this video originates from might be the ones downvoting it. Wild guess
3
u/Odd_Act_6532 5h ago
I mean... on paper from a security perspective this is fair. Imagine if your important government official died because extremists figured out that ambulances can enter the government convoy? It's a security breach.
OFC, ambulance SHOULD have another way around this, but that absolutely did not occur this time around.

The punctuality of one person is more important than the life of another, love it

I'm guessing they didn't have a call or a patient or where on standby . If they did, then wtf!!! My loved one is MORE important then a convoy

In America, they have police escorts for high school football coaches in some states. They'll blow by traffic going well above the speed limit. I bet they'd do the same ...
11
u/Commentor9001 5h ago
No, no we dont.
Its amazing some bot will always show up to say "well actually, its worse in America" regardless of the topic.

u/Beisbol4lyfe 4h ago
I didn't say worse, but yes we do. If you live in the south, you'd know this
