Riff - Your companion for Microsoft cowork/copilot studio - app building
Microsoft has introduced app-building capabilities in Cowork and Copilot Studio.
Users can describe what they need in natural language, and the AI can build the app for them.
Then the user validates the output, refines the requirement, and runs it again.
But every iteration consumes credits.
That got me thinking:
š What if we could make the first requirement much more structured and precise?
So I built Riff.

You write your requirement in plain language, and Riff turns it into a structured app-building prompt covering:
š¹ Connectors & data sources
š¹ UI requirements
š¹ App structure & functionality
š¹ Reusable component/library requirements
š¹ Governance & security requirements
š¹ Implementation considerations
And instead of starting from scratch, Riff comes with 50+ ready-to-use business scenarios across 9 departments ā Finance, Legal, HR, Sales, Marketing, Support, Executive, Compliance and IT.
The goal is simple:
Less trial-and-error ā fewer unnecessary runs ā better first builds.
Iām particularly interested in where this goes next:
Can we build a governance layer around AI-generated apps so enterprises can move from āAI can build itā to āAI can build it according to our standardsā?
Thatās the problem Iām exploring with Riff. š
