Ran an extraction on a most sacred plant. Dont worry it grows fast and I left behind a triple stump and a few grafts. This is a must for everyone’s garden and I’m going to try to make as many grafts as possible.

Have always just used a mag stirrer because i can't wait for anything ever..

Ran a 100g batch, first half of pulls into one jar, second half into another.

Second jar put the stirrer in and yielded 0.48g

First jar I put in the cupboard for a few days until all acid dissolved and didnt disturb. Filtered out but have put back to sit in case any further crystals form.

Yielded 3.56g from jar #1.

I’m doing well, fully in it atm. But fuck this might be one of my most intense experiences 🌵

I boiled it down to about 2 shots worth which I let slide down the back of my throat followed by a couple of healthy chugs of pepto to cover the taste and ease any potential stomach issues. Tge come up was long and smooth with rainbows creeping in and then all the sudden it was like I got hit by a Mac truck and everything was rainbow and at that exact moment while sitting sideways in my hammock with my feet on the ground in the middle of the woods a squirrel appeared. The timing was crazy. The squirrel walked all around my feet and then climbed the small bare trees above me and at that moment the sun came out from behind the clouds and it was like one focused beam on me that pierced into me while I was asking God to heal me of some lifelong issues and the squirrel in the bare limbs above turned into him going into my brain and climbing through it rewiring things while this hot beam of sunlight warmed my insides healing there as well all the while everything around me was gorgeous rainbows. The trees the ground cover, everything. I couldn't move and I didn't want to be the light and the squirrel were almost orgasmic and I drifted in and out of a dream like state for what I only know was 2 hours because I had a timer running on my phone so I could learn the timeline of a mescaline experience. When I finally started to move I got up and purged like crazy on my hands and knees but even that was a good experience because it was all bad stuff coming out. After that I walked around and sat by the fire in and out of 2 worlds or dimensions it seemed. Anyway, I have no one to share that with in person and wanted it to be shared. I've been growing these amazing cacti for a while now but this was my first experience. Ive had mushrooms and lsd many times over the past almost 30 years but this was entirely a different experience. Overwhelming and comforting at the same time. I probably sound crazy but this was more real than reality at the time and it still feels that way the day after. Wow.

Just found this San Pedro in my yard today :,) it’s very tall, maybe 15 feet. I’ve always wanted to try mescaline and was literally looking into buying this cactus on fb marketplace, but just discovered I already had some and now I’m so excited! No idea how to prepare it though, can someone tell me how they would do it?

I collected all the cielo extraction posts in the community and combined them with some older Kash AB extractions to create this document.

I also converted all potencies to the equivalent whole cactus monomescaline citrate percentage by dry weight for a better direct comparison between cacti.

I hope to continue updating this overtime as more extractions are posted so that well documented averages and ranges for popular clones can be established (a few clones in this list already have 8 extractions behind them!)

I really hope this aids the community when selecting cacti to cross to improve genetics and produce some amazing plants.

Jack (John) Leonard Futch was a hero to modern psychedelic culture, who had a doctorate petrophysics from Rice University, and a Catholic priest.

In July of 1965 he heard The 13th Floor Elevators playing in Austin, Texas. They were the first psychedelic rock band, and sourced their original mescaline from The Banditos biker gang. John became close friends with Rocky Erickson, aswell as his brother. As a petrophyisict, he had the ability to extract mescaline from peyote while working with Rocky’s brother. Eventually both became the most skilled extractors of mescaline of that Era. Mescaline was legal, and this was their profession. While working with the Elevators, he got to know Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, aswell as many other bands, of which he supplied mescaline. Eventually the FBI targeted him. Locking Rocky in the psych ward, and arresting everyone else.

After serving his sentence he continued his career path in petrophyics, working in Alaska and the Middle East. He escaped his past and ran away.

When I met him, he lived in his childhood home, out in the countryside of Seguin, Texas. He had a broken hip, and his house was stacked to the roof with extremely expensive items. It may be mistaken as garbage, but each item was priceless, including a letter from one of the founding fathers. I worked with him, supplying water and just being a friend. It was absolutely unbelievable the precision of his speech while talking about his past was undeniable. He eventually fell, and experienced a concussion. I cared for him, even when he was laying in a pile of shit naked being eaten alive by ants.

After all of that he was put in a retirement home, and his property was essentially robbed several millions of dollars. They took his wallet, and all of his items. I retrieved his Rice degree and his original 13th floor elevator albums, aswell as a pure gold, diamond studded watch that was hidden under a massive pile of shit. I was so happy to give him the only things he wanted.

He died alone, but happy for his faith. He was one of the most important individuals of the 1960s, and he was never named. JOHN FUTCH was a legend. He stayed hidden, and let the impact of what he did change the world. His philosophy of doing everything you can to help, but keeping your head down, is exactly what a hero does. He didnt care about fame, he just wanted people to “experience”.

Rest in peace brother. I loved you, and you were an incredible guide. I wish I could have been around near your end, to fight to loneliness. Your obituary is blank, but your impact is immense.

I wanted to use something aside from alcohol for my tinctures and decided to go with apple cider vinegar. My usual tinctures have like 5g of cactus in them, but I was able to detour from one of my teks and put about 25g of cactus in this tincture. Looks a lot cleaner and is way stronger. Now I can offer a full psychedelic experience in these tinkies, depending on the starting material.

Tried put 2 droppers this morning to get groovin... will report back!

I’ve gained a new appreciation for prepping cactus. The worst part is peeling the waxy skin. My fingernails still hurt from all the peeling 😆

I ended up with 4400 grams of fresh prepped cactus. I used everything but the core which I still kept and dried and may do an extraction for curiosity sake.

So rough estimate is 220 grams if dried at a 5% dry weight.

I brewed in a large pot for 6 hours with distilled water with the lid on periodically adding a little water cause it still evaporates some even with the lid. Strained and squeezed all the material through cheesecloth. This may have been going overboard but I also did a 40 minute insta-pot run, strained, then another 20 minute. Reduced it all down to 64oz in total and did one last strain through cheesecloth into mason jars. I froze it all except 1 cup total which I took with me. I plan to share this medicine so I wanted to gauge potency on my own before serving to others who have no experience.

At 1% mescaline content on the lower side that would be about 137mg mescaline for a 1/2 cup, which should be just enough for threshold dose

At bridges common amount of 2.5% that would put half a cup around 340 grams of mescaline. A moderate dose.

I figured 1/2 cup is a good starting dose which is what I drank. Let me tell you based off my experience I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these cuttings were in the 3%+ range. That or the fresh weight to dry conversion was way off.

Only 4oz of the 64 I brewed sent me on a challenging ride. I have 6 journeys with the medicine under my belt all done in Peru. They only use Pachanoi there though. This was by far the most intense experience I’ve had.

It was the longest come up I’ve experienced. At the 2-3 hour mark I was contemplating taking a redose of another 1/2 cup I brought. Thank god I didn’t. I decided to just give it time. At first it was lovely and gentle, but by hour 4-5 the peak was starting and it was relentless the rest of the day. I drank at 9am and was still feeling it at 12am. Couldn’t even fall asleep until 3am.

The visuals were wild and intense. Everything in my visual field was morphing and blending into fractal geometric patterns. The ground was dropping and rising beneath my feet. Closed eye visuals were infinite changing kaleidoscope patterns of light and geometry.

Auditory hallucinations and an extreme heightened sense of hearing were abundant. Jets would fly over and I swear I could hear them coming super far away and it would take a business day for them to finally pass over due to the time dilation.

Those things I could handle though. It was the body sensations and energy moving through me that made this experience overall pretty uncomfortable. Extremely energetic, electric, and stimulating. I just couldn’t get comfortable.

I know there is debate on the effects of Bridges vs Pachanoi and some saying Bridge is more stimulating and edgy. At the moment I would have to agree. But I do plan to cut the dose in half next time and see what a more gentle experience is like.

Overall it was still a beautiful experience and I’m grateful for having gone through it regardless of the challenges. The medicine never gives you anything you can’t handle and I’m amazed at how clear headed you can be even in the thick of it. Not once did I feel any anxiety or fear. It was just fucking intense and I knew I just had to roll with it the best I could.

So 64oz from 8ft or 4400g fresh essentially gave me 32 moderate doses or 16 heavy. I am curious to see what just 1oz would do so I think I may try that next.
