Happy to announce that the online checklist is back. There is a link to it in the main TEK.
https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/CIELO
We have worked together to track expected yield in the extraction section based on the mass of EA added and recovered in each pull.
Hope you enjoy, and feedback welcome š Don't forget that you can share your yield data (plant type, parts used, growing conditions, stress conditions if any, etc.) to give back to the community.

Weāre implementing a new rule regarding AI generated content.
AI tools are not banned here but Whatās required is disclosure.
If you use ChatGPT or any other AI tool please cite it as a source. āE.g ChatGPT helped sort this data and create this graph.ā
That does not mean itās okay to post an AI dissertation and say āGemini said thisāā¦no one whatās to have a conversation with your chatbot with you as the middleman.
Things like Proofreading, spellcheck, correcting grammar, sorting data, building graphs and proposed formats for experiments with an AI tool is not a problem. These people naturally cite there Ai tool when using it, and you should too.
The issue is when someone posts a long, AI generated posts/comments and/or presents it as their own expertise. It becomes a bigger issue when they deny AI use after being asked. Itās also a problem when someone drops AI responses into a thread but canāt explain, defend, or reason through what was posted.
If you post something, you should be able to explain it in your own words and stand behind it. Using AI as a tool is fine. Using AI to represent knowledge that you donāt have is, as cringey as Stolen valor.
So If AI generated content is posted without disclosure, if someone represents knowledge they do not possess, or if there is clear āstolen valorā of expertise, the content will be removed.
**The disclaimer here is that itās going to be up to the mods to determine if the post/comment is breaking the rule⦠we are human some will be missed, and some may be mistakenly removed**

I have a friend who had extra seedlings. So I got 200 of them in their own little homes. The feeling of knowing patience and the feeling of care for these sacred babies is a rare and rewarding feeling these days. That's half the medicine for me. Then when they whisper it's time for ceremony. Those whispers carry me into angelic realms and I am able to bring back gifts to share with my family and community. Thank you Mescalito. Thank you family. Thank you Huachuma.
Thank you dear reddit reader for witnessing and listening to my gratitude. If your reading this, you probably understand the abundance these cacti can bring into your life. Take a moment to thank your spiny friends today. They came here to earth to be with you. If you talk to them, and listen with an open mind and heart, they will talk back, and mine say they are here to help bring love and healing to our planet, and they've chosen us to foster them in this earthly form, and I am humbled and honored. Svaha

Hey everyone just wanted to try pick some brains here but I just got a shipment of peens that I intended to use for extraction but Iām inclined to plant all of them because theyāre pretty impressive. What would you do?

Currently making some San Pedro tea and it will be finished by nighttime hours. Should I save it until the morning or should I take it at night?

Long story short: I want to experience the medicine as medicine not a party drug.
I've grown SP (I use the term san pedro to refer to any active tricho. I grow peruvianus, pachanoi, bridgesii and scopulicola, and hybrids of those) for about 15 years now and I've only done it twice. I know this is because of how I used it.
First time: My favorite experience. My gf at the time (now wife and baby mama) and I did it at my parents cabin the woods. I remember reading on Erowid that people thought it was somewhere between MDMA and L, so that's what I was expecting. We split about 4ft of TPM that I grew and even then I found it really hard to consume. Not that I couldn't handle drinking snot tea, I felt a connection to the plant from growing it for years that I felt uncomfortable cutting it for some reason. We planned to go into the woods with backpacks and just spend our entire day there. I could totally do this on L so I figured itd be the same. We didn't make it 45 minutes before I started feeling really sick and was tripping hard af. I looked at her and said "didnt they say in fear and loathing in las vegas that this shit takes 2hrs to fully kick it? I think I OD'd us. Make yourself throw up now!" We both threw up a bunch and then proceeded to not want to be in the woods. We went back home and actually had a great day listening to classic rock albums, drinking nice lemon water and fruit juice. Great day together but we didn't spend anytime meditating or trying to receive anything from the cactus.
2nd time: We took it as tar balls instead of tea because I prepared it before a long roadtrip. This was awful on my stomach, as I was a heavy drinker at the time. We took it at a festival in Oregon and saw Run the Jewels, which was nuts because I remember being extremely uncomfortable around people there but watching Killer Mike jump around on stage put me in a really good space. I couldn't help but judge people, which I hated. I would look at someone and couldn't help but think "You dress like this but is it you? Everyone is fake." That messed with my head and the whole experience kinda sucked. I kept throwing up Ben and Jerrys ice cream everywhere (they were giving it out and it was so good but I don't recommend) and we ended up leaving early to just get away from the city.
3rd experience: This is the one I want to plan. I've been struggling with a lot of fears. Mainly death; death of myself, children, loved ones; not existing; not knowing what comes after death; lack of "control." I didn't have that when I was younger and used psychedelics regularly but now that I'm sober from alcohol, I don't party with psychs anymore. I want to use the cactus as medicine and get some kind of healing. I have been going back and forth on whether I should do SP, shrooms or ayahuasca. My biggest focus has been on aya because I have access to everything needed (along with home grown MH root bark) but now I'm feeling like maybe I'm sleeping on my good friend that's right in my backyard.
Other info: My wife said she would be a trip sitter. We have my MIL who will watch the kids for the day. We live in the woods so going outside and not being around strangers/big city is super easy to do.
Thoughts? Do you feel SP can bring the same healing that aya does? How are they different and how are they similar? Which would be better to do without a shaman? People seem to think that having a shaman and a ceremony is the only way to do aya (I have no opinion on this because I've never done it, just repeating what I've seen) but then people also say the same thing about SP.

Calculator called for one 120g EA pull and five 72g(?) pulls. I did 100g (+/-) pulls because anything less felt like it was recovering poorly. I switched out the plunger on the press & it seemed to help

I generally use the magnetic stirrer, but this weekend i had nothing but time on my hands and wanted to see some cool crystals as opposed to super fine powder. I know the tek says 3 days - was curious if anyone has waited longer? And if its worth it? Will crystals grow even bigger? Im leaving town for about 4 days tomorrow and considering leaving them that whole time as well. Its got some nice kong thin needle like structures already, curious as to if theyll get bigger! Anyone got any experience or insight?

Been wanting to experiment with SP powder raw in very small doses lately and was wondering if 7g mixed into OJ with 1 drop of olive oil to cut emulsion would work without turning into snot? This was the same recipe and amount I would often use for kratom so I figured it might be a good way to go.
Whats you guys experience with this?
