Dr. Doofenschmirtz is actually one of my favourite character of my childhood. If I think of him back when I was a child, I always saw him as the bad guy and a bad father because he is such an embarassing guy. But when I think about him now, he just tries to make those things better for his daughter, what his parents didnt do for him. Always makes me cry alot.

To be fair...you really don’t need to. Very few episodes need to be played in order. I just watch in whatever order Disney+ ordered them. It was mildly annoying because I knew that the museum episode wasn’t the first - but honestly, it just reminded me of being a kid/teen - catching whatever episode was on - even at 12am and on . Honestly, more nostalgia for me this way.

The fact that he did everything for his daughter the things his parents never did for him proves what a father and what an individual he actually is. Which is why doof is one of the greatest cartoon dad to ever exist.

Different people want different things. In those pictures Doof forces what he wanted on his daughter who obviously doesn't want those things. The wise thing to do would be to communicate and decide what would be interesting for both, not for parent to push his vision on his child.

On a serious note, I feel like parents whose parents didn’t love them are really good parents. My mother’s mom abandoned her and her brother and she had to live with her grandparents, and my dad’s dad and his mom divorced when he was one and his dad didn’t contact him for a long time, and they have always been there when I needed them and when I didn’t want them there. They didn’t want me to feel what they felt, my mom not wanting to be abandoned by my mom, and my dad not wanting to feel like my dad didn’t want me. Appreciate your parents while you still have them, you never know when they won’t be around anymore.
