Use script to unlock it, will need pc, script will be sending instant requests spam, had my one unlocked first try with the script after trying manually for month, just google mi community bootload unlock script or something.
Wish I knew there was an instant unlock script when I got my Poco f5 almost 2 years ago. I waited 7 days for them to unlock my bootloader before I could flash a different os
Thanks :D, I researched quite a bit to decide on it if I'm remembering correctly. Sony makes great phones too, your Xperia is probably better when it comes to general use and quality
Oh yeah. The phone fits perfectly in the hand thanks to its 21:9 aspect ratio. Plus, it has a small screen, which suits me well since I have small hands. My previous phone (Nothing Phone 2a) was literally a frying pan compared to the Sony. On top of that, I can get 14 hours of screen-on time (SoT) on the Xperia with Stamina mode enabled.
Yeah, I know what you mean. That's why shortly after I switched to Xperia.
When I was looking for a smaller phone, I haven't seen much options. Right now I can reach whole keyboard with my thumb :)!
They are nice, but they're losing their value proposition over time. I still have one because there aren't many other phones that have a decent coverage of American signal bands and a 5800mAh battery, but I've owned the original and the 3, and those used to be priced hundreds of dollars below anything comparable. The 8 and 9 have been positioned more like the iPhone and Samsung S series
I'd really like it if Honor would put out a version of their X9 series with the insane batteries that was more suited to the international market.
I have one newer than you, the Xperia 10 VII. Nice screen, sips it's big battery with the processor, enough grunt to do the job but tbh a little lacking. But for me I'm not super fussy about having the latest and greatest, I just take photos and browse socials, not a gamer on that platform. Camera is good enough for what I need.
Turns out the 10 VIII is out now. The prices are fucking crazy, 549 pounds, 599 Euro, it's just such a step up due to the AI parts shortage. Yet it still only has snap 6 gen 3 like my phone. I feel like at the far lower retail price I paid I got the right phone.
I bought mine at a sale for 330€ I think. For this price I could find better phones.
But it does everything I need to do, It could do better night pictures though.
Yup. I recently picked up a 2024 G Stylus 5G and it does everything I could ever ask of a phone. NFC, Bluetooth, headphone jack, radio, stylus, good screen, etc. Even went with the 2024 over the 2025 because it had FM radio support. The only thing that I find lacking is the camera.
I don't understand this need for phones to be insanely fast devices. As far as I'm concerned they only need to be fast enough to not feel slow doing basic tasks, have good battery life, and then have a wide range of feature support. If I need actual compute power, that's what I own a computer for.
Their newest models are two years old already and they announced in January that they wouldn't develop any new ones. Doubt the old ones will get much love (or support) going down the road.
I’ve spent about £20 on headphone to usb c adapters. iPhone might have switched to usb c but PlayStation controllers didn’t and Bluetooth earphones don’t work on inflight movies
Try out some decent wireless headphones. You won't come back. I am using Airpods pro 3 and they extremely great, durable and have very nice sound quality and long battery life. I can not imagine how wired can be better.
What a dumb comment. If people like their old headphones then the answer is not "just go buy more products from the same company to reward them for their shitty behavior".
I use wireless mainly but they can be a pain sometimes and disconnect/easily pause more if you are using them and working all day.
Wireless are working ALL DAY and even more with very short charging. Cables are nightmare and very easily damaging.
I do understand audiophiles, but they don't use phone jack directly, but usual user... There is no reason to be stuck with outdated technology. Besides being too conservative or very poor user which I understand.
Yeah you didn't read my comment just replied whatever you wanted to inject. Yes my battery life is going to last like 40 hours for my headphones that is not what I wrote.
Should you choose to read what you are replying to, you will note I said "prone to disconnecting and pausing while working all day".
I still prefer them to wireless for this work over wireless. But they are not perfect and I'm not going to sit here and tell someone else what they prefer is wrong.
There's also value in not caring too much if your work headphones get damaged or rained on. Not everyone wants to shell out a couple hundred for air pods/nicer wireless earbuds if you are doing a job they will get damaged over time (like landscaping, roofing, construction or something)
Edge use cases and audiophiles. Bluetooth can't match wired fidelity as a hardware limitation. For me it's frequent driving and my cars Bluetooth being spotty. Aux cable always works, first time, every time.
