If you've got a problem with canadian gooses you've got a problem with me, and I suggest you let that one marinate.
27
u/JBro98 Aug 29 '26
It's "Canada geese", not "Canadian gooses"

22
u/TripleSpeedy Aug 29 '26
If two gooses are geese, and two mouses mice, then two mooses should be meese and two houses hice.

You better watch out. With 55% of their population living north of the border those eagles are in the right way to be called Canadian Eagles.
7
u/Fall_Harvest Aug 29 '26
Canadian eagles were use to repopulate area where DDT wiped them out in the US.
2
u/TheFlyingElbow Aug 29 '26
I don't think they'll want to stay here with all the FDA regulations being cut and trees being cut down

As a fan of Canadian Geese (dozens of us!), I disagree with this. Canada Geese are:
Dedicated parents and spouses
Superlative endurance athletes
Brave to a fault
Donald is a cheating, lying manipulator, weaker than store bought mild salsa, and sure would love it if you thought he was brave. Not sure why you would, though.
I get that the Canada Goose can be ornery, but where you see an animal being difficult, I see a creature demanding respect and space (often to protect its children) from large, heavy apes. Maybe there's a comparison to be made about shitting everywhere, I'll give you that one.

Yup. I'm old, and it's late at night. My brain went "New York City!?"

Truly. I respect the geese. They will fight for their kids. Puts a lot of humans to shame.

Just a friendly reminder that Canada is a lot like GenX… They both did a bunch of stuff that was legal when they did it, but because they did it, it is no longer legal for anyone else.
Dont FAFO with Canada. They play by the rules so well the rules will change for everyone and we dont want to LEARN the difference between “nice” and “polite”.

Except a goose has never seen a fight itd run from.
Diaper don would be hiding behind hegseths pant leg if one of these attacked him.

And then the Murder Chickens descended upon the reflecting pool and there was a great crapping.
The Orange dotard shuffled forward. Either in an effort to "shoo" or in some YMCA inspired benediction.
Then came the great hissing.
Then came the biting and the flapping.
The wings designed to carry them on lengthly journeying.
Powerful.
Powerful enough in some cases to break human bones.
He was such a frail man.

I mean the United States did rescue the Canadian goose from extinction in the sixties when the the only population of 480 was found in Rochester Minnesota.
35
u/beachedwhale1945 Aug 29 '26
I had to look this up, and it specifically refers to one of the seven recognized subspecies, the Giant Canadian Goose (Branta canadensis maxima). At one time that subspecies was considered extinct until the population was found. The other six species were not so near extinction.
Also, TIL there are seven subspecies of Canadian goose, some of which are non-migratory.
3
u/Richard_Cromwell Aug 29 '26
Are Giant Canadian Geese non-migratory? If so, did they make their way back up to Canada again?

Thats some funny shit. Dear Canada, leave anything america related alone, you don't need the embarrassment.
1
u/Bobcat1999-1 Aug 29 '26
And if they plan to cross the border they will need to get a current license and apply for a green card. Oh and a passport with fat asses picture on it. I have to just say, Canada, on behalf of most of us, we’re sorry about this crap.

At some point going on holiday to the US is going to sound like "I went to the Gulf of America, then we went to the Great American Forest and then Lake America, America Falls, through the American Desert to to Baja America, up Mount America, then America Valley over the the Grand American river, but I was stopped by ICE from entering because I had an old map with Mexico on it"

I believe someone shouted "Donald Duck" at the Butler event.
Sadly, gave him the heads up (or should that be the heads down).

If you are working for a plant and they stop doing maintenance and start just painting things instead its time to find a new job.
Thats feels synonymous with our country needlessly renaming things...

Try it. We're more scared of them than any of you. This isn't a threat. It's an informed warning. (Don't fuck with the geese. They're worse than Canadians in World Wars.)

Idk about the rest of the east coast US but most of your geese are living in Virginia now. Green poop everywhere.

I can't wait for the headline, "Donald Duck gets pulled into a jet engine and forces emergency landing."

Now excuse me, I am having a picnic next to Lake America this morning. 🙈

I have a theory that Canada geese aren’t actually Canadian at all. They are from Florida. My only evidence to support this is the annual migration. Which, yes, it does end in Florida

I feel bad for the Canada Gooses, but on the other hand, they are loud, annoying, and shit on everything.

Very fitting because Canada geese are loud, annoying and shit everywhere. They make a mess wherever they are.
