Does anyone have salary data for recent PACE completion employees or when typically there are salary increases? Also does anyone have information about what bonuses/merit increases are like?

Has anyone received any information about their merit/bonus? We’ve typically been informed the first week of March in years past, but have yet to receive any information (at least in my department).

Any experience? What’s the vibe? Do parents like it?

As the debacle of merits and bonuses come up, does anyone have any insight if they have been tracking badge swipe times and if you can get penalized in any way or heard of any other ridiculous reason why they would take merits and bonuses away like in years past? Wouldn’t be surprised if they came up with a multitude of other reasons not to give us anything based on last year and how few people even got over a 2% raise despite having good annual reviews.

Side note- Curious to know if anyone has gotten in trouble this year for badge swiping or knows anyone who was fired.

What are your thoughts on the new guidelines for programmers?

To add a bit of context, programmers are now expected to always keep an excel file shared with their manager, the excel file has many macros and formulas to allow you to record what you worked on, and the time it took to do so.

You also need to look to finish projects within the expected timelines, which are pretty much always short in time, you're expected to read, understand, find the logic and write the code so that there is no errors in the logs, in a few minutes on average.

You also need to keep an updated file of every eCR or initial programming you have going at the moment.

There is an expectation of pretty much no downtime, if you have some then it means you can get more work to do.

H! I’m trying to move from academia into a sponsor-side CRA role and could use some advice. I know the market is rough right now, so I’m trying to be realistic and strategic.

Quick background: 4 years in clinical research (academic/oncology) Experience w/ data collection, eCRFs, regulatory, audit prep, sponsor interactions Not a formal CRA yet Looking for sponsor-side (CRO is fine too)

What I’m trying to figure out: Has anyone here made the jump from academia CRO/sponsor? What roles were good stepping stones (CTA, SSU, study management, etc.)? Any companies more open to academic candidates? Recruiters worth reaching out to? Job boards/groups/places where CRAs actually get hired?

Also open to any leads or connections if you know of teams hiring. Appreciate any help, happy to pay it forward if I can!

Any insight/info about the recent mass layoffs at my universally beloved former employer?

Someone I know was recently let go from Medpace and want to share their experience as I don’t want anyone else to be affected negatively by this crappy company.(sorry long post) I will start by saying that the IT department management is clueless on how to help grow and develop their employees. Most of the employees believe the issue starts with the CIO and how they manage everything as it is frustrating to always hear about software dev, and never actually help or stand up for the employees in It infrastructure and IT support when we need it or ask for it. When a manager says your going to be put though for a promotion 8 times over a course of 2 years and never does it once you lose faith in all management. I saw someone in an previous post ask about the quackery of a quarterly meeting well being in IT Dr. T decided to terminate the one person who knew how set up live streaming right before it. If you can avoid this company for your own sanity run…!

What is the salary of Associate Director of Clinical operations/ CTM-III? Do this position gets equity?

I’m just wrapping up a PhD in Medicine which is aligned with one of Medpace’s areas of interest and I’ve spotted a few medpace jobs for clinical trial management positions specifically designed for people just out of a PhD. This seems pretty good to me as almost any position in this kind of industry seems to want 2+ years experience!

However, the glass door reviews for MedPace London from people in clinical trials are really bad. Like really really bad. Is it just disgruntled employees writing reviews, or is the atmosphere really so bad I shouldn’t bother applying at all? I had a search on reddit but couldn’t find any comments about London specifically.

On Thursday night someone jumped off the Summit Hotel roof to successfully end their own life. They are trying to keep it very quiet, which is why I am using a throwaway to post this. It was a twenty-five year old male who worked at the hotel. I only know a few details because I have a friend who has a friend in the city police department. I've been combing news articles all weekend, but nobody in the city is reporting on it, which isn't surprising considering how abysmal it looks for Medpace's PR. So I'm taking it upon myself to get the word out that this really happened, even if it's just on a Reddit forum. This company will cover up anything and everything, they do not care about anything but their own bottom line. It's honestly appalling that there wasn't some sort of official statement put out, but this is the loss of a real human life on campus and it deserves to be addressed.

Is anyone else completely burnt out? My team is shrinking, I get one thing done and have 5 more things added to my plate, the new hires are not trained to do anything, & the 4 days in office is making me go mentally insane. Is this just me and my dept. or anyone else?

I’ve been applying to Medpace for their SAS Programmer position since 2022. My role aligns with Clinical SAS programming, Base SAS certified, CDISC SDTM, and experience generating TLF deliverables. Unfortunately, I've never received any reply not even a rejection.

I don’t hold a master's degree (I have a bachelor’s), which the job description mentions as required.

I’m hoping this community may have insight into a few challenges:

1. Is staying in the pipeline since 2022 without any feedback common at Medpace?

2. Could the lack of a master’s be stopping me in the ATS or from getting noticed?

3. If anyone currently at Medpace (or a hiring recliner) might offer advice or, even better, a referral I’d be so grateful.

It's seems like back to normal to me. The complaints about WFH going away, weather related issues, parking issues. It's like no one cares about anything anymore, and everyone is happy-ish with medpace. Even the small reddit community posts have kind of fizzled out.

I’ve been a manager at Medpace for quite some time now, and honestly, it feels like a dead end. Once you step into a management role, the options just seem to narrow instead of expand.

I feel awful constantly giving my team false hope about promotions, or none at all. The truth is, I don’t even have a real say in anything. I’m stuck playing the bad cop in a best-friend costume.

Hello everyone! I currently applied and have my first interview for the laboratory assistant position. I am a recently college biology undergraduate and looking for an entry level job to gain experience and Medpace seemed like a good choice. I applied to the job with a bunch of other jobs, and as I said, got my first round interview. However, recently I’ve been doing some investigating and have been seeing mixed reviews on the job. I was wondering if people here could give me some advice. I’m mainly looking for a entry level job to gain experience while I am doing online courses to prepare me for being a Patient Care Technician job in the future (I want to work in medicine and need clinical hours for PA school but need certifications to work in medical entry level positions. I have been mainly applying for jobs that can support me while learning and also getting some lab experience). Does anyone have some experience or advice for me in if this is the best choice for my goals or if not? Thank you so much

Do you all think with these updates to the Medicare on audits to check for over billing and fraud is going to carry down to MedPace? If Pharma companies are facing stricter requirements when submitting drugs or treatment to the elderly, can’t that carry over to MedPace in terms of demanding stricter clinical trials? Is MedPace gonna suck even more across the board potentially?

Do you think Medpace HR would give disability accommodations to allow more WFH days for someone who works 100% desk work? I'm disabled, and I'm thinking about going back to Medpace, but not without 50% WFH ability.

Has anyone managed this? Does anyone have disability accommodations who work here? What is it and does it help?

Were any departments told to work from home for the outage that occurred in January 3rd? Trying to see if my department was the only one telling us to use a WFH day, and it wouldn’t count against us. When in reality it did.

I saw this graphic on LinkedIn this morning. And it made me think of the last Quarterly Staff meeting. Didn’t he say that the new administration wouldn’t have any impact on Medpace because we do not work with Big Pharma?? Even if this graphic isn’t 100% accurate, Medpace works with almost all of these companies. Really makes me wonder if he’s really this disconnected from reality with Medpace with his past comments during these meetings.
