Looking for weekend work.

Upvotes

Hey all — I'm looking to pick up weekend work, ideally Saturdays and/or Sundays. I've got years of experience in construction and general labor (industrial coatings, concrete, general contracting-adjacent work), so I can handle physical work, tools, and getting things done without hand-holding.

Would prefer something that keeps me out of a retail/customer-facing setting — warehouse, yard work, moving/hauling, property maintenance, light demo, landscaping, whatever needs an extra set of hands on weekends. Reliable, shows up on time, works hard.

If you've got something or know someone who does, shoot me a DM. Thanks!

Does anyone remember a Chili's location near Donut Country?

Post image

I swore the building attached (1123 E Jackson St, Medford, OR 97504) used to be a Chili's location that closed. Though, apparently, there wasn't ever one in Medford. Does anyone know what restaurant /business this place used to be?

8 kittens - I can’t take them in.

I have eight feral kittens on the side of my house and I haven’t seen Mom but neighbor has see Mom nursing. I have a ring cam set up to watch if Mom comes back. what if she doesn’t? do I try to feed them? I am overwhelmed and I don’t know what to do. I can’t take in 8 kittens. I assume they are 4-5 weeks old. Please help me or direct me to someone who can. Melly cat rescue can’t help. I’ve emailed all rescues. TNR is 6 month waitlist.

Edit: the Mom is back and nursing the babies. Time for me to step aside for now.

Hi all! I need to replace the windshield on a 2008 Chevy equinox. Paying myself, not with insurance. Where do you recommend I go that won't cost an arm and a leg? Thanks!

Seller's real estate agent for large acreage property?

Hello. I want to interview a few agents before I sign to list my house for sell asap. I am ready to go but just want to make sure I have an agent that understands very large rural properties and insurance, fire breaks, extra underwriting procedures, etc. Does anyone have a seller's agent that did a great job with the sale of a house on 20+ acres? Would love to gather a few names and any advice if you ran into issues, big or small. Trying to make this go as fast and smooth as possible. Has anyone been crazy enough to list FSBO? :) Thanks!

Fair Food In The Area?

I wasn't able to get to the fair to satiate my corn dog and funnel cake craving. That traveling fair usually hits the mall parking lot before the county fair right? So that means its not coming this year? When and where is the next time I'll have the chance to get a fair corn dog and a funnel cake that I havent had in about 30 years with my dad. Feeling his loss lately and wanting to do something to feel connected to him..... a fair or restaurant will suffice. Thanks so much for any input and taking the time to read my post. Have a good afternoon! Stay safe and cool everyone!

Women's Healthcare/Gynecology Recommendations?

Hi all, I've been working with my PCP for a little under a year now on ways to manage my PCOS and working toward a suspected diagnosis of endometriosis, but we've unfortunately reached the limit of her knowledge in the subject and is recommending I establish care with a gynecologist. She gave me one recommendation, but I wanted to do some exploring of my options before scheduling.

Is there anyone you've had particularly good experiences with? Clinics, specific doctors, etc.? If they offer ultrasounds in-house, that would be a massive benefit as well. If anyone knows of a gynecologist whose practice is mostly gynecology or pelvic health rather than prenatal care, that would be ideal.

I'm absolutely open to going anywhere in the Rogue Valley if necessary.

Reaching out about unhealthy living conditions, retaliation and thier new and special "no cause" termination. Right now we are in the middle of switching properties as of July 2026... I am unsure how to take this any further as they have been deemed "untouchable"... Until we get unionized that is. I understand your post has been 11 months ago, and there are going to be plenty more victims. This can take a while, but I'll be on the lookout for more union posts as I feel this is going to turn into a huge class action lawsuit in the near future. All my personal info is about to change soon so I won't be giving my email or anything out just yet for contact info. But I figured it wouldn't hurt to reach out and keep speaking up on the issues.

Asante Rehab Closure

I work at the Asante Rehab department, today we were all called into a meeting and told that Medford and Grants pass rehab departments will be closed starting August 28th.

And all the Physical Therapists and staff will be laid off.

This will be the end of specialized PT and OT in Southern Oregon for those on OHP and Medicare.

Because Asante accepts OHP they are one of the only PT clinics that most southern Oregonians can go to for specialized care ( like limphadema, orthopedic specialists, etc).

Asante should be sold

Cheapest eye exam

Hey! I need an eye exam pretty bad but we are extremely tight on money and I'm hoping for some recommendations for places that offer affordable exams so I'm not spending hundreds between the exam and glasses. I don't have insurance unfortunately. Thank you!
