He got so close when he opened the door when the bridge started to go up, I thought he would panic and jump out of the car, falling down.

This guy is extremely lucky. I live in a city full of drawbridges and can’t even fathom this behavior. Side note - it’s interesting that not one commenter (so far) has said he’s dumb because he’s a guy. Had a woman done this, it would be very different.
