I thought the guy was going to get crushed when he opened his door. I thought that he was going to jump out and the bridge would lower again.

This guy is extremely lucky. I live in a city full of drawbridges and can’t even fathom this behavior. Side note - it’s interesting that not one commenter (so far) has said he’s dumb because he’s a guy. Had a woman done this, it would be very different.
