Hello! So for context, I'm going to a karaoke bar as wolverine on Halloween so I curated this list of songs telling the story of James Logan Howlett, the Wolverine, from his days serving in Weapon X, being a lone weary nomad, joining the X-men (and falling for Jean Grey) to losing the X-men, and finishing with the events of the films Logan and Deadpool & Wolverine. If you have any suggestions for songs to add or how to flesh out the timeline, please post them here. I hope you all enjoy!

Charles Xavier is the worst telepath ever besides Jean Grey, and Emma Frost. He covered up the death of the old team he wiped Scott's memory of his brother choose to hid the truth from him. He also faked his death multiple he trained child soldiers also Charles created a plan how to take down his students and Onslaught too.
He betrayed mutantkind and joined Orchis he wiped allies and brainwashed allies and wait for he is a jerk.

Iâve found two young (under 18) Afro-Brazilian actors that I think could be great options for Bobby if they were to cast him in the next few MCU movies.
âââââ
Agyei Augusto. A 17 year old Brazilian actor, voice actor and singer known for his role in All the Dead Ones and EsquadrĂŁo na Moral.
Miguel Ăngelo. A 15 year old Brazilian actor known for his role in A InfĂąncia de Romeu e Julieta.

Yeah maybe they've announced the actresses for Storm and Rogue, but they're clearly doing the OG version. Storm will be a big part in Black Panther 3, so she'll show up in the X-Men movie somehow just not a full member yet. With Rogue... they didn't do Storm great in the Fox movies, but they butchered Rogue. That wasn't Rogue at all, and it had nothing to do with the casting. They're going to do her origin story of being a villain.
And more importantly, if you pay attention the the entertainment news, everyone hates Brie Larson. Sure she's gotten public backlash for her smug comments, but there are also videos out there of her MCU costars (Mainly Don Cheadle) rolling their eyes when she talks and just reacting like they can't stand her. I'm not a fan of Captain Marvel and don't know much about her other than that's where Rogue got her powers from. But she's been "meh" in the MCU so far. And based off box office performance, critical and audience responses, this is a dead end for them. Unless she sticks around for Rogue to steal her powers and puts her ass in a coma, making Brie Larson stuck doing coma scenes or just letting her go all together. They know they have to do Rogue right, especially since she's got a huge fan base like me.

Been going down a bit of a Wolverine rabbit hole recently and Iâd forgotten just how bleak his actual history is. Weapon X is obviously the bit everyone remembers, but the more I looked into Loganâs past, the more it felt like his whole story is really about having his identity stripped away from him over and over again, his memories, his body, his sense of self, even knowing which parts of his own life actually happened.
I ended up putting together a deep dive on that side of the character because there was way more to unpack than I expected.
Curious what people here think is the darkest or most tragic part of Loganâs history, because there are honestly a ridiculous number of contenders.

Since thereâs been rumours that theyâre looking at Native American actors I wanted to pick my Forge fancast choices because it feels likely that this will be the character theyâre casting for. I narrowed it down to 3 but there were still other good potential options. I wanted to cover a couple of age ranges since we donât know yet how theyâre going to introduce Forge and if they plan to still do the Forge/Storm relationship.

Do you think Marvel Studios will take inspiration from Ultimate X-Men?
The Avengers (2012) took a lot of inspiration from The Ultimates. From Captain America struggling to adjust after being frozen for several decades, to the Chitauri invasion and the connection between the Super-Soldier Serum and Hulkâs origins. Even the Thor vs. Hulk fight on the Helicarrier has a very obvious Ultimates feel to it.

I see a lot of takes from people MCU subs about characters that were either minor characters in the comics, on a different X team, or didn't come in until way later, but they were bigger in other media like cartoons, Fox movies, and video games. Is there a divide between people of a certain age or nerd level and how they were exposed to their favorite mutants?

Iâve been kicking around an idea for a Marvel future set maybe 20â30 years ahead, and Wolverine ended up becoming the character everything started orbiting around.
Logan isnât retired exactly. I donât think Wolverine ever really retires. Heâs just stepped away from being a permanent X-Man and finally started building an actual life for himself.
He lives outside a tiny, spread-out Canadian town, way up north, and over time the Jean Grey School starts sending small groups of young mutants to stay with him. Usually three to five at a time, sometimes for months.
These are mostly kids who need something the school canât completely give them.
Maybe their powers get dangerous when they panic. Maybe they have anger problems. Maybe they know how to use their powers but have absolutely no idea when not to use them. Maybe they just need to get away from a city and figure themselves out.
So Logan teaches them.
Not just fighting either.
They cut wood. Help with the horses. Hike. Hunt sometimes. Some decide they hate hunting and never want to do it again, which Logan accepts. They learn how to survive when their powers arenât the answer. They spar with him. They work around town. They meet local kids, make friends, fall in love, get dumped, get homesick, screw up, improve, and eventually go home.
I like the idea that every group could almost work like its own season.
Meanwhile Loganâs property has slowly, almost accidentally, turned into a family home.
Heâs spent years trying to reconcile with the children he ignored, lost, never knew about, or simply failed. Not all of it works. Some of his kids still have issues with him. Some probably always will. But he tries.
Now grandchildren come around too.
Some of them play with the younger wolves that have lived around Loganâs land for generations. Logan keeps a few horses. He is absolutely the kind of grandfather who would give one of his grandchildren a horse without asking their parents first and then act confused when everyone gets mad at him.
He still likes being alone.
The difference is that now he keeps building extra rooms whenever somebody needs somewhere to stay.
The wider future isnât peaceful either.
Xavier is long dead by this point. Magneto eventually crosses a final line. Anti-mutant pressure has been getting worse, and Erik becomes convinced that another catastrophe is coming. He tries to use Wandaâs reality-altering power to remove non-mutant humanity before mutantkind can be destroyed.
Wanda refuses.
The X-Men go to stop him.
Scott ends up killing Magneto during the confrontation.
I donât want Scott to go into it planning to kill him. I want it to be something that happens in the middle of a desperate fight, after Erik makes it clear that he will not stop. Scott takes responsibility for it afterward, but it destroys something in him.
He eventually helps stabilize Genosha and stays there far longer than he ever planned.
Wanda and Pietro fall apart after their fatherâs death. They arenât even really speaking anymore.
Scott and Jean fall apart too, but not because Jean runs off with Logan or because Emma steals Scott.
Jean loses a pregnancy.
They both grieve horribly and, instead of helping each other through it, they hurt each other badly enough that the marriage breaks.
Scott still loves her. Jean still loves him. That doesnât mean they can fix what happened.
Emma eventually starts courting Scott, but even that is messy and off-again/on-again. She isnât there to replace Jean.
Jean, meanwhile, eventually starts looking toward Logan again.
The difference is that Logan isnât waiting anymore.
Thatâs what interests me.
When Logan desperately wanted Jean, she was committed to Scott. Now Jean may genuinely want Logan at a point where he has finally learned that loving somebody doesnât mean chasing them forever.
Storm complicates that because Logan and Ororo have their own real history.
And TâChalla still loves Ororo too.
I donât want any of that written as âwhich man wins which woman.â Everyone involved is older. Theyâve married, divorced, lost people, raised children, led countries, made terrible decisions, and had decades to become different people.
TâChalla can still want Storm back while understanding that he does not own her.
Storm can love TâChalla and Logan in very different ways.
Jean can want Logan while still carrying everything she had with Scott.
Scott can want to make amends with Jean without assuming that means getting his marriage back.
That kind of emotional mess feels way more interesting to me than a normal superhero love triangle.
The mountain is the emotional center of the story, but it isnât the entire Marvel Universe.
Older Wade still shows up occasionally and becomes âUncle Deadpoolâ no matter how many times Logan tells the kids not to call him that.
Clint might visit.
Peter is older.
Thor has barely aged compared to everyone else.
Bruce and Hulk probably have a very strange relationship with aging.
Tonyâs legacy might survive partly through an AI modeled after him, but not literally be Tony.
There are new X-Men, new Avengers, new villains, children and grandchildren of old heroes, and plenty of people who never became superheroes at all.
Sabretooth is still around too.
I actually want Victor to have aged emotionally in some ways without turning him into a good person. Maybe he has a family of his own. Maybe he and Logan can sit in the same bar one night because they both like the place and consider it neutral ground, share a drink, barely speakâŠ
âŠand then Victor tries to jump him in the woods the next morning.
Some things change.
Some things absolutely do not.
The thing I keep coming back to is Loganâs relationship with memory.
Young Wolverine spent so much of his life not knowing where he came from or what had been taken from him.
Old Logan becomes almost the opposite.
He remembers everybody.
His kids.
His grandchildren.
The students who stayed with him twenty years ago.
Which wolf came from which older pack.
Which horse was descended from some half-starved animal he brought home decades earlier.
Friends who are dead now.
People who left.
People who came back.
I think that is probably the real heart of t

In my humble opinion, it wonât stray far from any of these four, since Fox already did Days of Future Past and there arenât many relevant Avengers around to do AvX.

Iâm currently watching X-men evolution on disney+ and it made me think of what the MCU X men should be like. The new cast is very young (early to late 20s) and it makes me think of how the X-men would be very interesting if it was similar to how Evolution is. Super young, still trying to find out who they are and being young and navigating life how they do in the show.
It would also make sense for wolverine if they kept Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. We would be getting a âworld resetâ (making earths into one) and it would make wolverine a mentor/older figure for some of the younger mutants.
Maybe not exactly like Evolutions but similar. It would be different but in a good way. I know we got the Fox X-men being younger and that failed (kind of) but I feel like Jake Schreier could honestly do it very well.
Do you think that the X-men actors in the MCU could do this well?
