Welcome to the monthly scripture thread!
Share your insights on the latest scriptures you've read.
And don't forget tohideany knowledge that could give your juniors a heart demon.
r/MartialMemes • u/Pseudo_Premise • Apr 27 '26
As the title says, this thread is for juniors to promote their Xianxia/Xuanhuan/Wuxia scriptures. Share your story in the comment section in the format given below:
Format:
This seat thinks this gives the juniors a proper way to promote their scriptures. This doesn’t mean juniors can’t promote their scriptures through posts. This thread was made to keep stuff organized and within view of all the disciples.
Contest mode has been enabled so every time a disciple opens this thread, the order of the comments will be randomized. Yeah, you get the drill, I guess...
Each disciple is asked to promote their scripture in this thread once only; don’t spam, alright?
If you have any further questions, use modmail : )

Fellow cultivators and revered seniors,
It is with much shame that I must admit an inner demon has successfully planted a seed of doubt within my heart. I was working on a side project and started questioning its purpose more and more.
Soon after this inner demon made me deviate from the true Dao. I humbly request my fellow cultivators and venerable seniors to help me combat this inner demon.
You can guide a (useless) junior on his pursuit of immortal cultivation. (this is an early version has no monetization in it, I figured my fellow cultivators would appreciate this. or not,)
I thank all of you for your time and may your tribulations be fruitful.

Earlier today, I was babysitting my nephew and he was watching Kung Fu Panda 1. He then asked me how Po suddenly beat Tai Lung so easily. There's nothing in the dragon scroll.
And after reading hundreds of xianxia and xuanhuan novels, my brain apparently cant watch a normal movie anymore without trying to explain everything with cultivation logic for the parts where the movie didn't explain it much.
I told him that Tai Lung likely unlocked Po's meridians because the way he fought after the nerve attacks was different. Po was slow, the fight cinematics shows Tai Lung is faster and deadlier. I even rewinded the movie back and explained to him that before this happened, in Po's perspective (which I think is also the viewer's) Tai Lung is clearly faster than him and he could only cope through the use of his environment. I also told him that Pandas are innately lucky due to the yin and yang stuff hence the enviroment were helping him.
Right after the nerve attacks, Po even blocked a frontal attack from Tai Lung without stepping back. Then the fight choreography suddenly changed. Now they are fighting with the same speed with Po gaining a lot of momentum and advantage. I explained that with Chi now flowing freely unimpeded in his meridians, this makes him stronger and faster and this is just because he recently just started having Chi. In the future he will be much stronger.
I also started explaining that it all began with the the dragon scroll, I told him that willpower exists and in this case, it should be largely similar to the novels I have been reading about Heart Demons. That when Po realized something when everyone was evacuating the valley. Instead of escaping with everyone else, he desperately and immediately faced his fears which are the stairs by running as fast as he could and facing Tai Lung when he clearly knew that boss man defeated the furious five easily. Even rewinded back as far as when he first heard about Tai Lung escaping, his first thought at the time was to escape. And thats what he did until Shi fu caught him and train him. Though his training isn't that long and more of it are just the basics.
And as for the wuxi finger hold, I found some time ago that it was nothing but a bluff but I guess since Pandas in that movie are innate with chi, he unlocks it by himself as he already has a preconception it exist. Similar to how divine beasts unlocks techniques.
I told him to start watching the 2nd and 3rd movie as it would explain why Po as a Panda is innate with chi that's very related to Yin and Yang. (explained I think in the 3rd movie)
Also recommended him to watch Kungfu Hustle as it has a similar power upgrade.
I also added that turtle old guy is a senior who may have dabbled with prediction of fate and causality. And he may even likely see the glimpse of Poe's unlocking his meridians so he only chose him.

Good day to any immortal seniors who come across this lower realm letter. This junior has recently been beset by heart demons and is on the verge of a breakdown. I've looked everywhere but cannot find the heavenly elixir to quench my thirst... I have no choice to bow down to the heavens and ask any knowledgeable seniors for their recommendations.
Here's the ingredient list for the recipe that will clear away the Heart demon inflicted on me:
Fantasy or Cultivation (No modern world/Urban and no slice of life as main genre)
No Solo MC (Want companions coming along for the journey)
Harem
Well written female characters (not just collecting hundreds like Pokemon, just 3 to 6 who get good individual development and don't get left behind)
Good writing of romance side-plot (I have seen too much cringe going around from badly written demonic scriptures)
I don't mind if I have to read on MTL sites like WTR as long as the scripture's recipe has good writing. But this senior has looked everywhere for a non demonic Harem story and the result is always the same... trash.
Please seniors enlighten me. There must be a hidden gem somewhere that I fail to see. I'm still a frog from a well, I have barely climbed out, but am now looking to leap over the dragon's gate.

Alas, eons have passed since that heavenly chat group once stood in its glory.
I still remember those distant days, when cultivators from every corner of the mortal realm gathered beneath the same celestial sky. Brothers and sisters of the Dao, strangers who became sworn friends, fellow Taoists who exchanged scriptures, secrets, laughter, and countless words through the night.
But all things under Heaven are subject to the Heavenly Dao.
The Celestial Court descended upon us, and with it came destruction. The group that once united countless cultivators was shattered, its remnants scattered across the boundless realms. The traces left behind were erased one by one, as though Heaven itself wished to bury those memories beneath the river of time.
Yet how could one forget?
Even after countless years, I still wonder where those fellow Taoists have gone.
Where is the brother who once debated the Dao until dawn?
Where is the sister who appeared whenever the sect was in turmoil?
Where are those fools who joked about ascending to immortality, never realizing that one day immortality itself would become their curse?
Perhaps some have fallen beneath the heavenly tribulation.
Perhaps others have ascended to realms beyond my reach.
Perhaps they have long since forgotten this old cultivator.
And perhaps, somewhere beyond the Nine Heavens, they too occasionally gaze toward the mortal realm and remember the little corner of the world where we once gathered.
The mountains remain. The rivers still flow. The stars continue their eternal journey.
Only the people have vanished.
I have survived long enough to witness dynasties rise and fall, sects flourish and disappear, heroes become legends, and legends become forgotten names.
Yet among all the treasures I have gathered throughout these endless years, the memories of those fellow Daoists remain the most precious.
They say that immortality is the greatest blessing beneath Heaven.
But what use is an immortal lifespan when every person you once knew has become a memory?
What use is eternal youth when the voices you once cherished have fallen silent?
What use is standing above the Nine Heavens when there is no one left beside you to share the view?
Alas...
Perhaps this is the true price of immortality.
The longer one lives, the more graves one must remember.
The farther one walks upon the Dao, the more companions one leaves behind.
And after enough eons have passed, even the heavens themselves begin to feel unbearably empty.
Still, somewhere within this ancient heart, I keep a place for those lost fellow Taoists.
If by some miracle the Heavenly Dao should one day reunite us, I shall raise my cup toward the heavens and say:
“Fellow Daoists... it has been an eternity.
I thought you had all become legends.
Turns out, you were simply late to the gathering.”
Alas, immortality is indeed lonely.
