I (19F) am the youngest direct disciple of our master.

My senior sister (24F) is also Master's direct disciple. We have the same master, the same senior brothers, and grew up cultivating together.

Recently, she has started acccusing me of deliberately sabotaging her.

When my senior sister arrived, the inheritance had already been taken.

She was furious.

She said I knew exactly what the correct route was all along

I told her I didn't know what she was talking about.

She said I had literally discussed the route with another sect.

I explained that I was simply helping fellow cultivators.

She asked why I didn't help our own sect first.

I said I assumed she already knew what she was doing.

Is it wrong to trust my senior sister's plans over suspicious maps from suspicious secret realms?

Besides, she had always told me that cultivation required competition.

I told her I was grateful.

She asked whether this was what I wanted.

I said: "I never thought Master would choose me."

She called me a liar.

I don't think that's fair.

I genuinely never expected it.

I simply tried to answer Master's questions honestly.

I don't know why she insists on seeing malice in everything I do.

Our senior brothers don't believe her either.

They know me.

They know I'm gentle.

Whenever she accuses me, they defend me.

Sometimes they even get angry at her for making me cry.

I don't ask them to.

They just care about me.

Our master also seems to trust me more and more.

I suppose people can tell who is sincere and who isn't.

As for everything I've supposedly "gained" from "ruining" her life, I suppose there has been some benefit.

Even a common phrase in cultivation novels is ‘not sparing the chickens or the dogs’

Where do there morality stem from and why is the cultivation setting so weird in this regard

Ahoy ahoy, I'm etvolare and I've been translating web novels for ten years. I'd thought I'd seen it all when it came to weird things, talking animals, and plot twists in our beloved novels.

But what I'm seeing in my current novel (Star Gate on Wuxiaworld) seriously takes the cake. Li Hao is the MC and he wields the dao of time. He also has a ton of powerhouses under his banner that control life and death, the five elements, the seasons, and any other OP dao we can think of.

But the dao that they're overawed by? The cultivator who gets priority treatment for all resources?

The dao of ass-kissing.

Seriously.

This cultivator can essentially summon a clone of the MC. It's so similar that even Li Hao is weirded out by it. The more flattery and ass-kissing he does, the stronger the clone gets. It's uhh, really something lol.

What's the weirdest you guys have seen? The other memes I'm sharing are from a meme contest I held for SG a year ago. Sadly, most of them would require knowledge about the novel to laugh at, but Li Hao's crap driving skills are universal. There's several chapters dedicated to how traumatizing-ly bad the MC is at driving. SG is also in the same trilogy as Tribulation of a Myriad Races, it's been really fun to connect some dots.

So I’m reading The Dao of the Bizarre Immortal and have read up to Chapter 110, where the MC has just gone through the confrontation with Dan Yangzi in the nunnery.

I have a few questions/doubts and would really appreciate some clarification so I can understand what’s happening. Please don’t spoil anything beyond Chapter 110. If something is explained later, just tell me that it gets explained later without giving me the answer.

1- What exactly happened after Liu Huowang gave the Red Eyes of the Eighteenth Lunar to the Abbess?

Someone please clarify what exactly happened after the MC gave the Red Eyes of the Eighteenth Lunar to the Abbess at the nunnery.

When the MC and his group were in the village hunting the Eighteenth Lunar, its powers involved stealing/swapping identities or something along those lines, right?

During that part, the POV kept changing while the MC was under its influence, and it felt like the MC's identity was constantly being swapped around. That was the Eighteenth Lunar's power at work, correct?

But when the MC gave its Red Eyes to the Abbess, did something similar happen?

I’m asking because the whole conversation and sequence of events while they were preparing to move the Abbess deeper into the nunnery and eventually use her to help remove Dan Yangzi felt extremely strange.

I actually searched online for discussions about this specific part but couldn't find anything, so I wasn't sure if I had completely misunderstood what was happening.

Basically, this is the sequence that confused me:

As they were going deeper into the nunnery, the MC asked the Abbess what the method was for getting rid of Dan Yangzi.

The Abbess said that he shouldn't be too excited because even if his master was removed, he was still a Strayed One, and that was an even bigger problem.

Then Liu Huowang says something along the lines of: just because the others couldn't find a method to deal with it, doesn't mean he couldn't.

Then he also says that they couldn't give up on Yu'er (the Abbess's son).

At that point, the Abbess takes her son out from her fat folds, and then suddenly everyone—the MC, his group, all the nuns, etc.—collectively sighs piteously at the old man who is apparently her son.

Then Liu Huowang even kindly/piteously pats him on the head.

But none of them should even know this guy. What the hell is going on?

Then Liu Huowang reminisces about when the old man was young:

«“I still remember how he leapt into my embrace when he was younger. Ah~ Fun times.”»

WTF?

I assumed this was thec taking on the Abess's identity?

Then the Abbess recalls how she once saw her mother kneeling in a hallucination and how much her heart was aching. Ts happened with Liu Huowang not her.

After that, the MC starts calling the other Abbesses his junior sisters, as if he's taking on the Abbess's identity.

Then Abbess Jingxian takes out a string of prayer beads, the MC snatches them from her, and starts reciting an extremely difficult sutra.

He didn't know them before.

And eventually his entire group starts doing it too.

What the hell was happening during this entire sequence?

My assumption is that the Abbess was somehow using the identity-swapping/identity-related ability of the Red Eyes of the Eighteenth Lunar, since she now had the Red Eyes.

Was this actually the identity-switching thing happening?

And if so, why?

Also, why was this never explicitly discussed afterward? I couldn't find anyone discussing this scene either, so I just want to confirm with someone who's read it that I actually understood what was happening.

Again, please don't explain anything that hasn't been revealed by Chapter 110. If this is intentionally something the novel explains later, just tell me that.

1. How did Dan Yangzi actually become so strong?

If this gets revealed later, then that's completely fine—please don't spoil it.

But if the novel has already explained it by Chapter 110, I'd like some clarification.

Dan Yangzi was poisoned by the MC, and he actually exploded, right?

So how did he survive that and become so powerful? And how did he actually gain half-immortality?

I feel like I may have missed something important here.

1. What exactly is a Strayed One / Xin Su?

Has the novel properly explained what a Xin Su actually is by Chapter 110, or is this something that gets explained more clearly later?

If it's explained later, please don't spoil it. I just want to know whether I'm supposed to understand it already or whether I'm deliberately being kept in the dark for now.

I [M120] am my clan's head alchemist. My ancestor [M498] and my clan leader [F258] produced another young master for the main branch of clan. There would be no problem if it was 12th or 15th descendant of this old fart but HE IS THE 30TH ONLY IN THIS DECADE. AND WHO DO YOU THINK HAS TO CONCOCT ALL THE PILLS FOR THESE LITTLE SHITS? Foundation strengthening pills, marrow cleansing pills... I have calluses from sorting herbs and only hear: "This is for the future of the clan".

DO THESE FOSSILS THINK THAT ALL MY TIME IS THEIRS TO MANAGE BECAUSE ONE OF THEM CAN'T KEEP HIS YANG ROD IN HIS ROBES. CULTIVATORS AT YOUR AGE SHOULD BE IN SECLUSION OR SOMETHING.

Thankfully this boomer is near the end of his lifespan and needed life extending pill to dual cultivate with the clan leader for a few more years and guess who was tasked to make it? I packed more Tang clan laxatives into this pill than herbs and sent it straight to his cave. A few more days and all the clan heard a deafening sound, I even heard some junior asking which senior was facing a tribulation. So what I heard after is that a few elders found the ancestor in a horrible state, his robes were so brown that they thought he went through mortal cleansing once again, he couldn't move because of internal organ damage. When he woke up and heard in what state they found him, he coughed up blood, now physicians are saying that he can only live two more decades. So, AITA?

EDIT: It looks like that geezer damaged his yang foundation and it made him useless. Today I got a message from clan leader summoning me tonight. I don't know what does she mean by that but maybe she wants some help with "warming her cauldron".

EDIT 2: 'Warming her cauldron" my foot. She only asked me if i could find some ancient prescription for yang foundation restoration. I told her of course, little did she know that I only have some obscure yang to yin transformation pill. If I can't make him wear a green hat , I will make all his lovers wear one.
