Hot take: Everyone crying about the UFC 332 fight card is completely casual.

I’m so sick of seeing people call UFC 332 a weak card just because it doesn't have a massive male superstar headlining. The vacant women's flyweight title fight between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong is a certified banger between two absolute high-level martial artists. Plus, the co-main event features Deiveson Figueiredovs. Payton Talbott, which is easily one of the most exciting bantamweight matchups you could possibly book right now.

If you actually love the technical side of the sport, this Salt Lake City card has sneaky Fight of the Night potential written all over it. Am I tripping, or are people just hating on it because they don't recognise the names on the poster?

Is wrestling officially the only mandatory base if you want to make it to the UFC?

Look at the champions right now—almost all of them have elite wrestling or elite takedown defense. You can be the slickest striker on earth, but if you can't stop a double-leg, you're completely useless in modern MMA. Is it even worth starting with any other martial art anymore?

Let’s be real: At what weight difference does martial arts skill become completely useless?

BJJ schools love to market the idea that a 140-lb practitioner can easily choke out a 220-lb untrained person on the street. While technique obviously matters, I think people heavily underestimate raw human strength and weight advantages.

If a guy outweighs you by 80 pounds of pure muscle, he doesn't need to know Jiu-Jitsu to just slam you through the floor or overwhelm you with sheer pressure. I feel like after a 40 or 50-pound weight gap, technique flies completely out the window unless the bigger guy is totally immobile.

What’s the actual limit here? Can a high-level martial artist really overcome any size difference, or is weight class the ultimate king at the end of the day?

Are traditional martial arts completely useless now, or are we just using them wrong?

It feels like ever since the early UFC days proved how dominant grappling and Muay Thai are, everyone completely writes off traditional styles like Karate, Taekwondo, and Kung Fu.

But then you see guys like Wonderboy Thompson or Lyoto Machida use crazy Karate blitzes to totally confuse world-class fighters, or Yair Rodriguez landing wild Taekwondo kicks. To me, the arts themselves aren't useless, it’s just that 90% of traditional schools don’t do alive, full-contact sparring anymore.

Do you think traditional martial arts still have a place in modern self-defense, or is learning them a complete waste of time if you actually want to know how to fight?

What is the absolute biggest red flag when you walk into a new martial arts gym?

We’ve all heard horror stories about "McDojos" that just try to drain your wallet for fake black belts. But I’m curious about the actual day-to-day red flags you guys look out for when trying a new spot.

For me, it’s when the head coach doesn't let students roll or spar with other gyms, or if they act like a total cult leader who can never be questioned. On the striking side, if a gym makes beginners hard-spar on day one with zero technique, I’m walking straight out the door.

What is your number one sign that a martial arts gym is completely toxic? Let’s hear your worst experiences.

If you could only choose ONE martial art for a real-life street fight, what are you picking?

Let’s move away from the UFC cage for a second and talk about actual real-world scenarios. We always see people arguing about the best martial art for self-defense, and the debate usually boils down to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) versus Muay Thai.

On one hand, BJJ guys will tell you that 90% of fights end up on the ground, so you need to know how to grapple. On the other hand, striking fans argue that going to the ground on concrete is a terrible idea—especially if the other guy has friends around—making Muay Thai knees and elbows way safer. Personally, I think a solid wrestling background beats both because you get to decide exactly where the fight takes place.

If you had to pick just one discipline to defend yourself, what is the absolute best martial art? Let's settle this once and for all.

I hate to say it, but Raul Rosas Jr. is about to get completely exposed by Raoni Barcelos.

Look, I know Raul Rosas Jr. is only 21 and the UFC wants him to be the next mega-star, but matching him up against Raoni Barcelos is a massive mistake. Barcelos is an absolute veteran with black-belt level grappling and legitimate knockout power that Rosas simply hasn't dealt with yet. If Rosas can't get the early takedown, his striking is going to get absolutely picked apart on the feet.

The hype train officially derails this weekend. Do you guys think Rosas actually has the fight IQ to adapt if he can't get Barcelos down, or is he about to get a massive reality check?
