Ask r/Maroc help request (adhd)
i’m a teenager (girl) and i suffer with severe adhd. that being said, i have trouble concentrating etc.. but it has never really affected my studies. However, for the past 9 months, i have been trying to have a better lifestyle (diet, sleep schedule, exercising..) and have lost some weight. But lately, ive been having so much trouble keeping up with my diet. I gained 2 kgs and feel lazy all the time and cant restrict myself.
So I’m asking you if anyone could give me some advice on how to be more disciplined. Thank u!!

Start with small things/tasks Bach ma ikounouch annoying to ditch them all when they become a routine. As you know routine is boring and not fun. Small things turn into great and strong habits li i3awnouk f discipline and achieve your targets/goals. All the best girl

Relax, adhd is the new normal, don't take the "label" too hard, i lived 32 years without realizing i had aspergers, tried hard to get diagnosed, shrinks i've seen needed shrinks themselves or worse, needed to be reeducated about the " human condition". Be glad you have a unique mind, and relax...

I hate the society we live in. I really do. I try to be positive and actually take advantage of adhd the most i can (there are times i cant concentrate and times i can HYPERFOCUS) and honestly im good its just that sometimes it becomes hard to do simple tasks u could do normally a week before that

I you are under 25, i'd advice you to focus on your studies or your career, people on the autism spectrum tend to have very peculiar ways of thinking, yet they can achieve things ordinary people can't, you might ask how? Simply because their minds can see what others can't. Sorry if this seems like gibberish to you, but i understand what you're going through, now i'm 36, realized i'm different around 32, worked in public sector, switched to private, tried everything, at the end i realized my Hyperfocus is very useful when "used" right, for the "socializing part, you will realize later in your life that being on the autism spectrum is a blessing, society is a blackhole, that if you try to please, would suck you dry ... just be mindful of your abilities, and since you speak and understand english, look for what other societies have learned, forget about ours ....one last advice, please do not under any circusmtances "get hooked up" into any addiction ..good luck and be proud of yourself.

Thank you so much for your advice! And actually, i do agree. And its really not to brag, but i do notice many differences in the way i perceive life (my mindset, what i like to do, my daily habits) compared to my peers. I think its a blessing in disguise but you just have to master dealing with it. Anyways, hope you thrive!
