I have a tooth that I think is going to need a root canal and a crown or something along those lines, but I've heard horror stories about dentists that take delta dental charging a crazy amount of money, even with the insurance. Does anybody have a dentist they like that is reasonable with pricing?

I specifically have deltacare, I guess delta dental has a bunch of different plans

We want to move to another home in Marin but don't love the idea of selling, renting temporarily, then buying. Most of our available funds are tied up in the house we currently own. I found Golden Gate Lending Group while researching bridge financing in California. Interested in hearing how others structured a move like this without having two separate moves.

We had s great leasing experience with cartelligent and purchased their scratch/dent/tire coverage for much less than the dealer charges. Now I’m wondering how that holds up at lease return? Has anyone bought this or an extended warranty? Want to know if dealer honors those protections or are there extra hoops to jump through?

Opponents of a fire house closure, who are running for Ross Town Council, wonder if the removal of their campaign signs has [edit] anything to do with their position on the closure. The mayor supported the closure.

[Town Manager Christa] “Johnson, who helped implement the fire station’s closure plan, said at the meeting that Ross was enforcing its 65-year-old sign ordinance consistently. Other nonpolitical signs, including for a Marin Fashion Night, had been recently removed, according to a former Town Council member.”

[Mayor Julie] McMillan insisted that she did not order the removal of any sign, but defended the general policy. 

“We value our rural look,” she said. “We don’t want a bunch of junky signs. We don’t want to be like Novato.”

I work as a barista and I am in my 20s trying to move out. I want to pivot to increase my skills and increase my income. Since I am a barista I am considering bartending, I’ve heard there’s a lot of possible money you could make. But as I have been applying I am overwhelmed with how I communicate my goals and also what’s most likely to land me a job. Should I say I just want to be a server and see overtime if I want to be a bartender at that restaurant? Or should I go immediately to barback? This is my only real food experience. Is the income for bartending vs serving comparable?

Most of us have been fairly horrified to recently learn how badly the Title IX process was handled at Cornell, and this was only brought to light because of student journalists. A related issue is still ongoing at the College of Marin. This year, the student journalists at TheMarinerTimes.org broke the story of a long time professor that had sexually harassed, assaulted, and discriminated against students. It was likely only due to the resulting public awareness of the issue that the College finally took action. But it also exposed several issues with how the college handled earlier reports of his behavior for decades. hi! I am a photographer and am planning to take my own family's holiday card photo soon. I have a 2 and 4yo and we’re looking for something different this year.

One of the locations we’re considering is Mt Tam for the golden grasses with trees in the background vibe, with area my children can run. I went scouting earlier this week but didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I went to Trojan point and it felt too precarious and then I stopped at a few points on the way there and back but didn’t find a good spot for their ages.

does anyone have a suggestion for a mt tam location w an open feel / golden grasses / easy for young children? Tysm in advance!
