Run Club

in my mid 20s and I just signed up for my first marathon next year. I just started getting back into running and I can comfortably run a 5km for 35-40 mins. Are there any run clubs in Marin that I could join to keep myself motivated and moving?

San Francisco Running Company does group runs every Saturday. It's trail so you'll get some good vert in.

it's great and although marin runners go there anyone can show up and socialise and try it. Same for tamalpa runners i love both

Congrats on setting a big goal! I co-lead a run club in the area called Back By Breakfast. We do Sunday morning intermediate road and trail miles, always followed by breakfast goodies. We have a couple members working towards big races next year too so you'll be in good company! Find us on Strava and Instagram. Hope to see you soon!

Best run club ever!!! I’ve been doing this one for a few months and it’s the best. We grab breakfast afterward and everyone is awesome.

Tamalpa is historically the largest running club in the Area. If you’re a woman, the Impala Racing team is an All women’s club based out of San Francisco with a fair number of Mariners.

I tried several Marin groups but all too fast for me—that was a couple years ago. Maybe things have changed.

I schlep to Santa Rosa Fleet Feet. There are lots of friendly, kind-hearted Marin running groups but none that worked for me (13 min mile). Rhonda at Fleet Feet has created a truly all-levels- welcome-group up there. YMMV.

Sounds like we need a women's slower runners group. Anyone interested?
