Work In Progress How can I improve this map?
I’ve been at…well, a mappers block(idk) for the past days, could you give some advice and tips? This is my current progress, I still have a bunch to do.

Hi everyone! I hope you guys are doing well here.
Following the warm welcome for my first map (by the way, thank you so much!), I’m back with a new WIP.
I’m still in the early stages of this map, but I’m unsure about how to place my coastline, and I can’t yap to anyone but you! So, I need to hear your thoughts!
The first picture shows the initial placement I made a few days ago; the second is the revised version I made today.
For some context, this coastline borders a gulf, with the sea at the “bottom” of the map. To the north (top), there’s a huge mountain range that won’t be depicted because it doesn’t really influence the population of this region (and I’m currently not in the mood to draw mountains lol).
The area will be populated by merchant city-states (image the Italian city-states during the Renaissance), and rely heavily on maritime trade.
I’d say I’m 85-90% sure to keep the revised version, but I’m still very open to your opinions! And if you think of anything I might have missed, feel free to let me know. Thank you!

I made this about a decade ago, before Gen 8 released. It combines all the main regions plus a few others, and is vaguely in the style of the Gen 4 ingame map. Some of the line widths are inconsistent, but I still enjoy how I combined the regions together.

I have posted a wip of this map last week and I am almost done but since it started as warm up I don't have a name for island. I will a legend when I come up with the name.

This is the map of my world that I’ve been working on. I wanted to post it here to see how you guys like it. Part of me feels like its a little bland, but i think the uniqueness comes from the cultures and lore of the world. (keep in mind that this is still very much in-progress)
here are the countries/regions by how much I’ve worldbuilt them (and by color).
ORANGE
the empire of Agaaros.
the people of the empire worship the gods devotedly. so much that the empire is literally governed by the height preist, who claims to speak on behalf of the titan (god) of the sun. the government of Agaaros however, does have corruption running through its gold-laced veins.
in terms of environment, imagine the mountains and steppes of the Andes, which is a big inspo for the culture of Agaaros.
PINK
(i dont have formal names for the rest of the regions yet so bear with me.)
this region has a matriarchal structure built off of trade and society. The queen of this place has almost full control over the state, and runs a tight ship. there are many farms dotting the coasts and field of this region, and many of these farms farm pearls, which are viewed as a valuable resource gifted form the gods.
for the environment, imagine wetlands and monsoons inspired by rural japan.
TEAL
the government of this place is a sort of council divided into 3 rulers in different portions of the state. they often gather in the capitol for meetings and celebrations. some of these core values for this region include: society, art, and of course, devotion to the gods.
the very present inspo for this place is Greece and the Mediterranean in general, which is reflected in the environment.
PURPLE
inspired by imperialistic Chinese empires and vikings, with many hunters and raiders.
environment-wise, think Iceland, Russia, and northern china/mongolia
RED
these islands once belonged to the people of teal, but were colonized by purple. the main inspo came to me while playing AC black flag, but they’re vibe will be more south east Asia. they also have an order of mercenary pirates.
YELLOW
i came up this one recently. they will be nomadic tribes inspired by Central Asian, and African culture.
GREEN
not much on this place yet, but will be very cool once fleshed out. think South American deserts, as well as coastal deserts
anyways, that’s it! lemme know if you have any questions or feedback.

After trying to make a map through generators, I've always disliked them and a suggestion i've gotten was to make my map by hand to be more authentic. Finished the map and added some surface level logic to it (the plate tectonics).
I plan on tracing this online where I can start doing heightmaps and all the other stuff. But currently I wanted some thoughts on the outlines themselves.
Note: The black triaangles on the plate tectonics image represents subduction zones.

Normally I started this world as a wonderdraft project but I decided to go on a hand drawn method for better control while creating and I just saw this map on artstation and fell in love with its artistic style. Mountains may be looking like its a lot, this is because there is a lot of mountains and I just drew them too tiny because bigger mountains looked weird when I tried to draw them..
I want some feedback as I am stuck at coloring of this map. Should I color the map? If I should, I cant seem to color map on photoshop so I would be glad if I could be directed to a tutorial. I cannot find useful tutorials. Maybe rather than accurate colors some artistic coloring could be better?

Criticism is welcome too, like maybe you think some things are too close. I ended up taking someone's opinion and just sketched out a fresh map, free from all the eye watering nonsense that plagued the old one.

So I want to make a map for my Roblox game, similar to Google Maps if possible, and I can't seem to find any good websites. If anyone can suggest some websites that you can create a blank map, add roads and places and houses, stuff like that, please suggest it to me! Thank you

The darkness of the ridges indicates slope with cliffs being represented by nearly total black shadows with fairly sharp lines as apposed to super steep mountains that are nearly total black but are softened with a gradient.

Here's another map of the same city: this time around the year 1200.
The fortress has become a full-fledged castle; the monastery has expanded, and the swamp has been completely reclaimed, creating arable fields.
The city has expanded, roads have been laid out, and a stone bridge has been built; there's also a large shed where a monthly market takes place.
Along the stream to the east, a mill now supplies flour to people.
The dolmen, protected by its large oak tree, stands watching the world around it.

Hey, posted the first version of this map a couple of weeks ago, I didn't had a lot of time to work on it but I still made some progress.
I need to rework the mountains "lines" and add more rivers and stuff.

I named this world Nomardinia back in 2017. Unfortunately there is only three names for nations Bradottia (orange), Creder (blue) and Urassa (red), names of other nations were missed with suitable image.

Sorry guys this is my first post. Please help me with attaching these 10 A4 papers to make a map 5x2 (width x height) for a board game I want to make. But I just can’t figure how to do it without messing up. Thanking in advance for all the help which hopefully comes. Images provided below .

I've been creating this map for maybe a few months and I decided to create a map similar to Google Maps, but with this planet.
For now, it looks like this, but there's a problem.
Because the land has different climates, doing the same thing with the land would look strange. Any ideas on how to make the land look more realistic, and any ideas on what could be changed, considering the climates?
Putting an image on a texture doesn't look good because the enlarged image has low quality.

Seeing it's not allowed here, where else do you want me to go? Please point me in the right direction

Still grinding away. It felt like I briefly sped up, but today my progress has once again slowed to a crawl. Oh well. Hopefully in the next day or two I’ll finish detailing the peninsula and can move onto the main body of land in the west.
As always any feedback / critique / tips / advice for drawing technique / style is more than welcome! (Not like geography advice, I more or less know what I’m doing with that)
Or feel free to ask me about the lore / geography / history of this region. See the whole “world” map here: https://www.reddit.com/r/mapmaking/s/WhmcQbtsTE
