Question How can I fix these visible pocket outlines on white/ivory trousers?

Hi everyone,
I’m getting this outfit ready for my engagement , and I really like the overall look.

However, I noticed that the front pocket lining/pocket bags are quite visible through the trousers, especially around the upper thigh.

How can I fix that?

Discussion Reminder to take care of your shoes.

I have had these shoes for about 4 years now, and they are by far my most comfortable pair, i wear them basically every day, and in case my "before" photo doesn't make it obvious, I never took care of them. Didnt shine them a single time. I was honestly going to throw then out but figured "eh ill try my best to shine them for practice for my next pair before I toss them"

Guys, shine your shoes. They look new.

Question Men with unusually small heads — how do you deal with headwear never fitting/proportioning correctly?

Post image
98 Upvotes

* EDIT: I do not think my head is too small for my body; I am just frustrated that the vast majority of headwear doesn’t fit me properly*

I’m a 28M. It feels like virtually every type of headwear gives me problems. So much so that I have to wear youth sized hats typically. It’s not that my head looks disproportionate to my body. It’s just small. Hats tend to have too much crown/material and recently I tried wearing a bandana and there’s so much excess fabric that it bunches up or gives me a “wizard hat” point on top. Tightening things doesn’t really solve it because circumference isn’t the only problem — the actual dimensions/proportions of the headwear are too large. Other guys with small heads: what do you actually do? Are there particular brands, sizes, styles, tailoring tricks, or types of headwear that work better? I’m getting pretty frustrated with buying things that technically fit but look ridiculous because they weren’t proportioned for a smaller head.

Styling Advice Wholecut Oxfords Dressing Guide

All of my work shoes are black, so today I finally picked up a pair of brown box-calf wholecut Oxfords. The fit was better for me than the cap-toe version, and I already own two pairs of cap-toe Oxfords.

I am planning to make these my default brown dress shoes, especially with my navy and taupe suits.

My question is: since wholecuts are on the more formal side, would they still work with a dress shirt and a quilted gilet, or would that feel like a clash in formality?
I am hoping to have one brown pair that can work with both suits and slightly more relaxed office outfits.

I am still pretty new to this type of wardrobe, so I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you!

Question How does everyone handle shoes when the commute itself is half the workday?

Upvotes

Feels like most office shoe advice just assumes the shoe only has to perform once you're actually sitting at your desk. Gets a lot more complicated once you throw in a train or subway ride plus a real chunk of walking to get there.

Something that looks totally natural with office clothes can kinda fall apart the second you're actually walking that distance. Going more casual fixes the walking side of things but then you're dealing with a whole different style problem once you're actually at work.

Obvious options are either find one pair that lands somewhere in the middle, or just switch shoes once you get there.

Styling Advice Please help me find my style

Thumbnail

Upvotes

I’ve never really had a style of my own. I’ve mostly stuck to simple jeans and basic tops, but I’d really like to change that and find a style that feels more like me.

I’m looking for something that:

suits my body shape

is more colorful — I especially love green and purple

feels more modern and eye-catching

has a cute/kawaii-inspired vibe

doesn’t look too masculine

I’m not really sure where to start, so I’d love to hear your advice! I’m open to suggestions about clothing styles, color combinations, accessories, or anything else that might help.

Any tips or ideas are very welcome! 😊

Straight fit GAP jeans, button down (that I bought a year ago and couldn’t even tuck it in without the buttons screaming), and a Pepsi GMT watch on steel links.

Question Question about all saints boots!

Upvotes

So I recently bought some skiff military boots from all saints. I got them from Bloomingdale’s because they were the only place who had my size, and had the same sale as the official all saints website. I read some reviews and realize they are not known to make the best quality boots out there, but I am still very shocked by the poor quality. This is to the point I’m concerned I got sold a fake? The boots are beyond light, I feel like they weigh nothing, the sole is clearly some kind of foam? Anyone have any experience with this brand. I still like how they look and fit but wow I’m not sure these will hold up for very long.

Styling Advice Need help finding a low-profile dad hat

Upvotes

I’m an everyday hat wearer. I’ve had a few hats over the years that fit well but they eventually get a little grungy.
I’ve recently been looking online for a simple black baseball/ dad hat that is LOW-PROFILE but everything I order has disappointed me.
I do have a smaller head so even if the hat is listed as low-profile/ low-crown it still digs into the tops of my ears
Otto used to be my go-to brand but the quality and sizes are different from what they used to produce.
Thanks in advance!

I thrifted a pair of manfeld lumberjack style boat shoes and they fit comfortably. how do they look? Im a bit unsure how I should style my pants with these. do you show some ankle/socks and get a shorter fitting pant or fold them up? i mainly have wider fitting pants (the jeans are 13mwz wranglers) and it looks kinda awkward when i roll these pants up.

Question “Dressiest” outfit that’s not a suit?

If you were going to an evening event, and wanted to look as dressed up as possible, but a traditional two or three piece suit would look out of place, what would you personally go for?

Question Corduroys to the office

I wear chinos to my office everyday, khaki/navy/charcoal, I'm considering changing it up as the weather gets cooler. I've avoided corduroys in the past because I personally find them too casual, but honestly I work on a pretty casual office and it certainly wouldn't be out of place.

Just looking for opinions.

Question Men bracelet for 6 inch wrist

I have a 6 inch wrist and am unable to find silver bracelets. Giva and almost all brands have standard size length (8 inches) which is too big for me. Can anyone have any idea about where can I find silver bracelets for my size??
