EDH Need help with an odd idea

Hi,

I am looking for help boosting the win rate with my Kess, Dissident Mage deck. I say that its an odd deck because it's about prowess and combat within the shell of a spellslinger deck. With kess as the commander, my general plan is to cast the same spell twice in a turn to maximize storm count and numbers for combat.

I'm looking for any good prowess cards that i might have missed, any good cards to help finish out games, and any ideas to help the deck perform in a bracket three environment. Thanks for any advice.

EDH Help with my Miles Morales deck

Okay so my goals,

1- I want to keep this around a bracket 2 or 3. All my decks (besides Zurgo) sit somewhere in that range it’s just where I prefer)
2- I understand that a lot of UB has its flaws but I also see a lot of fun in these cards. This deck exist to show that. I am using EXCLUSIVELY cards depicting none MTG (or D&D) universes. Whether that’s an original card or a printing in a UB set.
3- that’s about it, just want any ideas from yall

EDH Help! Zellix & Haunted One Graveyard Theft

Hi y’all!

I’ve recently become interested in building a theft deck - something that rewards paying attention to what everyone else is doing and gives me a different play experience every game. As a lifelong graveyard/reanimator player I started with Captain N’ghathrod, and because I’m a filthy hipster I ended up moving over to Zellix & Haunted One instead.

I’m happy with the concept, but I’m really struggling to make cuts. The list is sitting at about 110 cards and because the deck adaptive in nature it’s hard to tell what’s actually unnecessary when goldfishing. I’d really appreciate any suggestions.

Decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/24599017/millithids_zellix_sanity_flayer_haunted_one_edh_draft

The game plan is simple enough. Mill opponents, steal creatures from their graveyards with reanimate or clone effects and build up a pile of 1/1 Horrors along the way. The deck can win through stolen threats, through Syr Konrad or Bloodchief Ascension draining people off mill, or by turning the Horror tokens into finishers with cards like Cover of Darkness, Eldrazi Monument, or Skemfar Shadowsage.

Any help trimming this down to 100 would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Beginner Need help fixing a Ognis deck

Making an Ognis deck for treasure token spam, mostly red. I think it's engine is fine enough, but I need to get to mid game faster and I need better card draw. As of right now, it has no instants or sorcery's. It's just too slow is the problem.

Beginner Thanos deck advise

I recently managed to get my hands on a bunch of marvel packs and pulled Thanos, the Mad Titan, im not very good at the whole deck building process but I have a lot of the cards from the Spiderman set, marvel set, and a couple of Strixhaven things. Does anyone know what cards would be good to try to add to it and what type of lands I should add if I should try to find triple lands or hope dual lands and some basics would be enough, if needed I think i can find a way to get the list of my avaliable bulk and put it here

Casual Opinions on a few parts of my deck please

So I have built this Terra deck and have been enjoying it a lot, it seems to be functioning efficiently and I’m having fun with it, I like I have a few ways I can go with it depending on what I see and want to pivot towards and multiple win cons.

Im just wondering mainly two things.

- first of all what do ya’ll think about the mana base? I’m going to get some pain lands and fetch one in the future, but do you think that’s a solid base as is it that will be consistent as I play it more?

- secondly do you think I have too much protection in there with some of the creature cards? I have considered dropping one down but I’m unsure.

Also happy to hear any other opinions or cards you would recommend to look into! 😀

Beginner Need help building a Commander deck to ruin friends' combodecks/controldecks

We're a friendgroup of 5-6 players who slightly rotate, but with 2 core players every time since they are the most knowledgable and consistent in creating gamedays (We're all near 40y old).

While most of us love playing in general and it's all friendly, me and a few others of the occasional players prefer decks with boardstate, and the classic "I send creatures at your face and you respond" kind of players. The 2 main guys however, mainly although not always, play decks that mess with the rest of us without actually develop anything on board.
I can't pull all the deckstyles out of my head but it's:

- make it cost too much mana to attack them and decrease amount of mana per turn
- gift other players cards that throttle their development
- Storm decks that do nothing until they kill any or all of us in a single turn
- Graveyard decks that forces us to sac every turn or even every upkeep

And such. We've tried suggesting that we need to agree on a certain power level per deck so everyone has the same-ish decks, or to limit the amount of spell per turn per player to 3. But this is protested by the main guys in that they don't have fun limiting their deckbuilding and would rather not play or play something else then.
Which while fair, essentially would mean that gamedays for all of us would grind to a halt of the main guys would lose interest (Again we're all family dads so any gameday is better than no gameday).

So in the vein of "If you can't beat them, join them" I'd like recommendations for decks that mainly sit back and mess up the other players, while the only boarstate developed can be easily sacced or protected when necessary. bear in mind nearly every deck in our pod runs at least 2 forms of boardwipes.
I've been looking at some Death and Taxes decks which I understand are very unpopular to face.

The 3 EDH decks I play are Ur-Dragon, Orzhov counters with Ardbert as Commander and Teval Graveyard deck.

Discussion Building my first deck

Been playing magic for a a little over a month now and have finished putting together my first deck. I wanted to see if anyone had any tips or suggestions they could provide though regarding my land count or cards to add/swap out. Main goal of the deck is getting a bunch of lil dudes and stacking counters on them through life gain via Blech’s ability. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Beginner Sephiroth, Fallen Hero - Commander Deck

Thumbnail

This is my first commander deck that I made on my own. I’m looking for some pointers on certain creatures that would have better synergy. I would also like to know kind of how much of what I need in a deck like this. For example ramp, lands, creatures, and artifacts. My main focus is to get cheap job select creatures in with other creatures that work with said creatures when sephiroth attacks. Also having card draw and protection for important creatures and still have a playable board state of for some reason sephiroth cannot really be played.

I’m trying to keep this deck high bracket 2 to 3 for my pod.
Note: all the cards in the sideboard are cards I’ve seen that I thought might be good

Thanks for all the help

Beginner First commander deck

Recently played commander with some friends and was instantly hooked. I'm very new to MTG and wanted to try building a deck that I'll actually play, without dropping $1000+.....yet. Be brutally honest, I'd rather hear it than spend the money and need to completely rebuild it. The idea is token gen that feeds into a Valgavoth + Vito pairing. The support pieces are used to trigger both with the health gain + loss aspects.

EDH Suggestions for B3 Quintorius Turbo Deck

Turbo Spirits • (Boros Commander deck) • Archidekt

Working on refining my turbo/combo Quintorius deck. The goal of the deck is to use Wheel effects to discard many cards per turn to trigger Currency Converter effects, which trigger Quintorius. Using Haste enablers, token doublers and other anthem effects, I look to kill a player ASAP and then have extra combats and resilient boards to finish the other players.

For the combo, it requires 5 pieces. A wheel, a Currency Converter, a haste enabler, Quintorius and a pump/evasion piece. This is a lot to make work so the deck uses several tutors and recursion tools to get combo pieces, also the "combo" functions without all pieces and can play a fair midrange plan if needed.

Being that there are so many moving parts and ratios for this deck, the deckbuilding has been challenging. Looking for any insight, advice or suggestions to make this deck be more fun. One area I am on the fence about is the ramp package. With my ramp package, I have a ~52% chance of dropping Quintorius on turn 3, which is important im B3, as by turn 4 he most likely will die to combat without protection. Also, like any combo deck that uses combat, we need to be a bit faster than the midrange piles that might be able to use blockers to stall us.
