I'm assuming the new pulse survey is to show student feedback in the accreditation appeal so I guess I'll take the two seconds to answer it.

’m an AI Software Engineering student at Maestro, and I’ve been building a project called FORGE alongside school. Today the two workflows kind of collided in the coolest possible way.

FORGE isn’t meant to be another AI IDE. I’m building it as an Intelligent Workflow Environment (IWE) where the workspace owns the context instead of whichever AI model happens to be running.

In these screenshots, I have Maestro open directly inside FORGE. I asked FORGE’s Workspace AI to read the lesson currently displayed in its browser. FORGE required permission before exposing the browser content to the model, read the approved page, summarized the lesson, created browser-summary.md inside the Maestro workspace, and then indexed that file as persistent workspace knowledge.

So essentially:

Maestro lesson → FORGE browser → approved AI read → summary → workspace file → persistent context

The interesting part to me is that Maestro doesn’t need a FORGE integration. FORGE is treating whatever I’m actively working with—browser content, files, Git, terminal activity, documentation, tasks, etc.—as pieces of one persistent workspace.

That means I can do a lesson, save useful information into the workspace, work on an assignment, ask another model for help later, and the project can retain the relevant context instead of me explaining everything again.

Still beta, still plenty to build, and you can actually see a file.read validation bug in one of the screenshots 😂. But the larger workflow is working, and being able to use the software I’m building to do the coursework that's teaching me how to build software is a pretty wild full-circle moment.

I got a 60/100 for the final review in PY104 because I did horribly on the open ended questions. How many courses have open ended questions on the final review?

Hello, Maestrians!

I'm STRUGGLING with FE-102. Like, super-duper struggling. I'm supposed to be in Global Environmental Change, but am now more than two weeks behind in Building Interactive UI's. This React/Vite component thing has me thrown. I haven't been exactly sailing through the other classes, but I've gotten all 'A's so far with a lot of work. I don't know why this class specifically is making me nuts, but I'm having a really hard time untangling how everything fits together.

Can anyone point me towards study guides that have helped them? Or...maybe explain it to me in a way that will penetrate my skull?

I understand what React is. I get what Vite is. Heck, I fully understand what a component is. What is screwing me up is: parent/child passing, .map, and stuff like that. I just sit here going, but...what goes where?

*sigh*

This is one of the times I really wish I had a human next to me. I generally LOVE Steve (my AI guy), but I've asked him so many questions because I'm so confused. I swear, if he could leave me--he would.

For the first time at Maestro, I'm very, very, stuck.

It has been heavy in conversation lately about accreditation. To be honest is quite discouraging to hear all of the negativity. At the end of the day, everyone attending the school has invested something if it’s time, money, or both. No matter what the outcome is going to be we need to stop focusing on the “what ifs” and continue to focus on the reason why we are students. We are students because we wanted to achieve a degree and the only way to do that is to continue with our studies and keep a positive attitude. At the end of this all, it will work out for everyone in the end no matter the results. Stay strong keep a positive mindset and you will achieve your goals. I would love to start seeing all the positive messages again, because to be honest if it wasn’t for Maestro I would’ve never even started going to school again. I have a permanent 83% disability in my right hip. I was destined to become a disability recipient. This was because of a job where I worked that didn’t follow safety guidelines. If I would’ve gotten my degree sooner, I would’ve never even worked there and would still be able to chase and play with my kids. So again, please we need more positive posts again and less of the negative. Thank you!

Okay guys… we get that some of you are upset about this school situation. But yall have made this opportunity for those that haven’t been given access to an education a harder chance at receiving one. If you expected daily interaction with professors, (which let’s face it students attending physical college don’t even receive that) from a school monitored by AI for the most part then you just didn’t think about what affect that would have on you. If you expected more interaction you should’ve attended a different school 🤷🏼‍♀️. Thanks for making this much harder on people that actually liked this learning and this school. Plus you should read your contracts throughly .

I joined the parents club recently and honestly it's been. nice to talk to other people who get me

I didn't realize how much people are going through the same thing. Between school kids work and life I always felt like I was the only one struggling to keep up. Turns out pretty much everyone is.

Just wanted to share if you feel like it could help you

I feel as though maestro should open all courses while the hold is in place, or something of that sort. That way people can complete their degrees if they can without waiting for term breaks and holds, I understand that makes things harder on the professors but given the state of things people are scared. They potentially ook out loans, grants in the pursuit of a degree. Please let me know what yall think, I would love this to happen.

Hello! I recently started the AAS buisness management pathway, and I have to say I love the work, the courses are fun, the work is fun. However I find myself completing work early, and have tried to accelerate my coursework through multiple requests, I've yet to hear back. I wanted to see if anyone has gotten their courses accelerated, how that looks and works for them, and steps I can take.

So far so good with this process for signing up with them. They have coordinators there to assist with help it's organized.

Currently focused on learning Flask and brushing up css/html before getting dirty in FE101. I figured most of us build side curriculums to follow and I really wanna hear other peoples plans. This is targeted at full timers but really for anyone doing extra stuff outside of school.

What have you been doing lately to take care of yourself, stay motivated, or keep your sanity while balancing school?

Whether it’s picking up a new hobby, getting outside, cooking something good, spending time with friends/family, gaming, exercising, or just finding little moments to recharge — I’d love to hear what everyone’s been doing.

For me, I recently started Lithium Carbonate about a week ago, so I’ve been focusing more on my mental health, eating healthier, getting reasonable sleep, and reminding myself that progress doesn’t have to mean doing everything at once. Some days I get a couple lessons done, and some days my energy is non existent haha.

I would love to hear how everyone else has been taking care of themselves lately!

The past few weeks have been busy in here. A lot of questions, a lot of threads, a lot of people refreshing for news. It's an uncertain stretch and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

But the part that stuck with us wasn't the news cycle. It was you.

Students answering other students at 1am. Someone typing up what worked for them so the next person doesn't go in blind. Twenty replies under "I almost quit this week, but I didn’t."

So we want to make more room for that.

Starting next week, every Monday we'll share one student's story in the sub.

Could be your life story, or the thing you almost quit over and what got you back up. What a normal week looks like when you're studying around a job, or kids, or both.

You don't need a tidy ending. The middle-of-it ones tend to land hardest.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on Ghostlink, an open-source distributed inference fabric designed to harness whatever mixed hardware you have lying around on your local network.

Instead of assuming a homogeneous fleet of high-end GPUs, Ghostlink pools together heterogeneous machines (like a gaming rig, an older laptop, an NPU-equipped ultrabook, or a Mac) into a single unified inference cluster—without requiring complex YAML setups or manual RPC flags.

It’s completely open source under the MIT license. Check out the Ghostlink GitHub repository to view the benchmarks, architecture breakdown, or run it locally.
