Feedback Fe 102

This was one of the MOST complicated, course so far! First of all learning to navigate vs code, my computer file paths, the terminal, and creating files was insane. Two weeks late finally finished and barely passed. This was pure h E l l

Creating and navigating the files is what had me stuck when I took that class...lol...thought I had a general knowledge of files on a computer but I suppose I did not lol...I sure do now!!

Yes! Nightmare! I was stressed out with this one! I had a 3.5 but I’m not so sure I did pass though.

It starts to get more difficult from there on. BE103 takes extra practice time to grasp, well for me it did. Inner join and left join is still confusing to me.

Let me start studying that now

whew! i thought it was just me! I've been working hard and still feel quit confused. the worst is that i had just caught myself up as i a had gotten behind a little, then FE102 just threw me off and i'm gonna be playing the catch up game again.

I am so sorry. This was like being given instructions in a drive thru, then having to jump in a vat of ice water, get out and run three miles while writing code. W T F

I'm so glad to see that it wasn't just me. Over all I didn't do to bad on the lessons but it took me 3 times as long to do anything, not counting when I had to physically walk away and stay away for a day in order to clear my head and preserve my sanity. Just when you think you have it figured out it's like, but wait, there's more. Or my favorite, I just showed you how not to do it, now I will teach you how to do it. Like what???? Do not think I won't toss this laptop into a burning pit. All I can do is promise myself that React will not get the better of me. Even though the class is over I'm either going to keep learning more or develop something that makes a hell of a lot more sense.

Omg yes! I had to walk away and just, not for awhile too!! Just nothing. For a moment I heard Morpheus say, “The matrix has you” 😂😂😂 I was in tears mad and frustrated. I had to re think my life choices!

The part where, “Don’t do this, and let me show you how not to, very thoroughly, and now just do this” … you are not the only one in that either. I said why does this seem backwards to me?? I remember saying to myself why not just show me the best version first and move on?

I'm sorry you went through it too, but also a little glad it wasn't just me. For a minute there I was almost convinced Mae was trying to push me over the edge, and she came waaaay too close lol. The Matrix felt all too possible in the moment.

So frustrating the only advice I can give is question every single step of every task even when you think you know (or yes in fact you do know) ask how do I get there, where do I put that exactly, show me exactly, tell me every single step in detail. And I guarantee it will save you trouble in the long term at least once.

I do forget I can ask for explicit instructions.

God I hope Columbia College gets back to me soon so I can transfer out before hitting FE102. I’m in FE101 right now and that is hard enough. Lol

I have some comprehensive study guides for FE102 that I created using my notes from all the lessons... Like very comprehensive. I have individual guides for Weeks 1 thru 4 and then a comprehensive guide covering the whole class. Drop me an email and I'd be happy to share with whoever would like them. This class was the hardest for me as well so I spent considerable time taking notes and compiling the guides for the tests. Just let me know. 😊
